The food was very fresh and you could taste that. It's been a very long time since my tastebuds have done their seafood dance! The flavors were on point and seasoned. When there is malt vinegar, ketchup, salt, pepper, hot sauce, and the paper towels on a Roll, held down by a fishing weight---yup, I've found my people! Service was amazing! Fast, all questions were answered, and suggestions were given! This place was booming and the ambience gives, "where you can find me after work", daily for great food and drinks! The locals know good food and I was excited to join them today! Can't wait to try other items in the menu!

Yum! Food Tried the following: Blackened Shrimp tacos, fried fish tacos , chili, cheese curds, onion rings and fries! All were very excellent and surprisingly the chili was super good! I guess it's an off-season addition. Service: Order at the counter and they then bring your food to you. Very casual environment. Glad we were with friends who told us how it works because it can be a little confusing about the system for drinks and such. Just keep track of your beers and pay for them all at the end! Ambiance: Indoor/outdoor seating in a casual laid back setting. It was October (off season) and still busy! Go here for fresh casual seafood!

SO dang much to love about this homey little spot and such a big part of what made me fall head over heels for Emerald Isle. It's worth the line (even if out the door) and the good news is you'll be served drinks along the way. Great service, some of the best peel and eat shrimp I've had, and a full vibe.

Freaking amazing food all around even for us non fish / seafood people (me). Staff goes above and beyond! They serve drinks in line while you wait! Very cute beach ambience open air!

Someone recommended The Fish Hut and we went for lunch. Beprepared to wait a while and in the heat, but the wait is worth it! This small restaurant boasts an amazing, robust menu that makes the wait seem more worthwhile. You must wait in line while they serve one by one, but don't worry, they come by and get your drink order while waiting in line. I wasn't sure about the order-at-the-counter concept for a seafood place, but I was wrong, and it works. Drinks came out quickly and were very good. Fried shrimp tacos, soft shell crab sandwich, blackened fish tacos, and a side of coleslaw were all delicious. The absolute beach of a come-as-you-are, laid-back, beach vibe. Family-friendly, reasonably priced. A friend recommended this place, so we decided to stop by for lunch. Be prepared to wait for a while in the heat, but trust me, the wait is worth it! This small restaurant has an impressive and diverse menu that makes the wait feel worthwhile. You'll need to stand in line as they serve customers one by one, but don't worry--the staff comes around to take your drink order while you wait. I wasn't initially sure about the order-at-the-counter concept for a seafood restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it works well. Our drinks arrived quickly and were very good. We tried the fried shrimp tacos, soft-shell crab sandwich, blackened fish tacos, and a side of coleslaw, all of which were delicious. The atmosphere has a laid-back, beachy vibe that makes it feel like a casual spot to hang out. It's family-friendly and reasonably priced, too! I gave a 4 due to the long wait outside in the heat.

This little busy joint on the strip is different from what I'm used to. First when you're waiting in line to place your order, a waitress comes up and askes if you'd like a drink, while you are standing in line waiting. Yes, please! This makes standing in line so much better. Haha. The way they do things is different from what I am used to up here in NY. I walk in, I place my order, I go find a seat. The come out and just start calling your name. They find you, drop off your tray of food and bill, and when you're done eating you walk up and pay. With so many entrances in and out of this place you'd think they would have you pay first. I guess that's the difference between the south and NYC. Haha. The tacos were delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Line to the parking lot. These people know it's worth the wait.

This place is phenomenal. It deserves every bit of hype, if there is a line wait in it. A seafood place next door, Flipperz, serves frozen farm raised product from [insert random Asian country]. It was empty on a Saturday while Fish Hut had a line through the parking lot. In a coastal area people know good seafood. I highly recommend this place.

This is a very fun spot for fish tacos, sandwiches, and drinks. It is a mostly outdoor spot that is very dog friendly. The vibe is chill, the people are lovely, and the atmosphere encourages mingling with your neighbors. The food and drinks are really good, too. I've only ever had the fish tacos, because they are just that good.

This place was so good we came again the next day for dinner!! The line was out the door for dinner but moved pretty quickly. Service was friendly and fast. We got the fried shrimp tacos and soft shell crab sandwich again (our favorites), and tried the Black Sea bass sandwich (blackened), onion rings, Wisconsin cheese curds, a pina colada and modelo. The sides were great. Both days we tried blackened fish and think that they would've tasted better fried, but at least we gave it a chance. We still think the shrimp tacos and the soft shell crab sandwich are the best. This restaurant was probably the highlight of our trip food wise - definitely recommend to those visiting Emerald Isle!!

Food was excellent, drove from Fayettville just for this. Was not disappointed. We will be back. 2 hr drive, $60 bucks for lunch , $50 bucks worth of fuel, Being with my wife of 25 years to enjoy a day together eating great food (priceless). Staff was super friendly

Delicious food! Had a line so be prepared to wait, but the food is definitely worth the wait! Decent amount of seating but I can see how it would be limited in seating during peak hours. Staff very friendly. Gives off great beach / island vibes which takes me back to my Grenada days.

The hostess guided us to our table suitable for our party which was 4 adults and three children. The environment is lively and spirited; all signs of a good visit to come. Savannah S was our server and did a fantastic job navigating the chaotic children with us and delivering great service with a smile. The food was great as usual. I ordered the smothered chicken while others ordered grilled salmon and sesame glazed salmon bowl. You don't get fine china and plates here, but what you will get is a consistent good time with an abundance of drink and menu items that deliver as promised. It's why we enjoy coming here every year and will continue in the future!

On June 24th, we first attempted to call the restaurant multiple times in order to place an order. So my husband and I chose to drive to the restaurant to place a carry out order and wait. When the hostess was placing the order, she said that anything over $100 would impose a 18% gratuity. This was a carry out order. We were not being seated in the restaurant. The hostess got the manager Amber. Amber was not receptive at all to our point that this was a carry out order. Our choice to tip or not is our choice. The order was $103. Really. Wow. My daughter insisted she would pay the tip. But my husband and I will not set foot inside this establishment again. Very disappointing. First we were told that the phones were working, but I got a message saying the voicemail had not been set up. Second, we drove in thinking we had to pay to park. Third we placed the order, but, I had to call my daughter to get additional info about cooking preferances. Fourth, we placed the order with the hostess who then tells us there is a 18% tip imposed on orders over $100. The order was $103 (after my husband and I dropped our meals from the order). This is absolutely absurd. Very frustrating evening for my husband and I. We are on vacation, and this is the hospitality shown to visitors. We asked to split the order, so that I could place an order for my daughter and my husband could place an order for us. But oh no, you can't do that. And then we were told that there would be a charge to use a credit card. Do you know how to rub salt in the wound. We paid $133.89 for a carry out food order that was barely over $100.

My wife had the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich and steak fries which was delicious. My son had a hamburger cooked the way he liked it and fried and he enjoyed it. They were delicious and they were well cooked. They were perfectly crispy and the sauce was delicious. They should really talk more about those in their menu because that was the key note to this entire meal. I haven't seen fried mushrooms that big. They were absolutely delicious. We got this as a takeout and they were amazing, so I can only imagine what they were like. If we would've got them served to us hot and fresh from the kitchen. I've had alot of the items on the menu during those outreaches (and with family) and never had anything I didn't enjoy but today, I went with breakfast of a western omelet (minus the sausage & tomato) with hashbrowns (home fries) and toast. Bestie & I also had a combination order of banana & apple fritters. My food was just as I remembered-DEEEEELICIOUS! And our fritters just makes me want to go back in a few days to see if they have strawberries in supply. Honestly, I would drive from our new home in Richlands down to S'boro every weekend if hubby would let me lol. If you decide to dine here & are put off by the wait, don't be.
