5/5 -- A Ponchatoula Gem You Have to Try…read more If you ever find yourself anywhere near Ponchatoula, do yourself a favor and stop at Toula Burger on W Pine Street. I walked in expecting a good burger... I walked out questioning why every other burger in my life hasn't been held to this standard. From the jump, the vibe feels like what a small-town Louisiana burger spot should be: warm, welcoming, and buzzing with people who clearly know they're in for something special. You can tell the crew cares -- not just about making food, but about creating a place the community is proud of. I ordered the signature burger, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the kind of bite that makes you pause. Perfectly seasoned beef, cooked exactly how I asked, layered with toppings that taste thoughtfully chosen rather than thrown together. The bun held everything like a champ -- soft enough to enjoy, sturdy enough to keep the whole experience tidy. It's the little things, and they nail every one. The fries? Golden, salty, addictive. The kind of fries you keep eating even after you're full because "just one more" somehow becomes ten. What really stood out, though, was the service. Ponchatoula is known for its hospitality, but the folks at Toula Burger take it to another level. Genuine smiles, real conversations, and you can feel the pride they have in what they've built. It's refreshing. To the owners: Y'all created something special here. You've got a spot that feels rooted in community but tastes like it belongs on a national "must-try" list. I'd love to know more about the inspiration behind the menu -- especially what led you to craft a burger that balanced richness and freshness so perfectly. Keep doing what you're doing; the attention to detail shows. I'll absolutely be back -- and I'll be bringing people with me.

I got the Bub burgers with fries, and my order was ready in less than 10 minutes, which was perfect for a quick lunch break. The burgers are consistently good, and I've never really had a problem with my orders. They did forget my pickles today, which was a little disappointing because... the pickles matter! But overall, still a good quick lunch spot. Parking can be a little tricky depending on the time, but nothing too crazy. If you're in the area and want a fast, no-fuss burger, Bubs gets the job done.

But...the food just wasn't good and it's expensive. A smash burger, very small order of fries, and and extra patty with cheese all in was $24!! The fries were terrible. No flavor other than that of old grease. The burger wasn't good. Not juice AT ALL. Tasted like it had been pre made. The lettuce was wilty. I dunno. Maybe this was an off day? I just don't get the hype. You want a great smash burger? Head to The Husky where you can get an amazing burger, phenomenal friends, WITH AN OLD FASHIONED for $20!

The coffee was fresh and hot and tasty. No complaints. I had breakfast but if the lunch is half as good then you won't be disappointed. Prices were reasonable for what I got. Be aware, it is a small place and it's good so they are busy. It was crowded but the tables were turning quickly and I didn't have to wait long. The ladies working were all very friendly and were trying hard to accommodate everyone. They don't have any 2-top tables or a counter so I ended up sharing a larger table with some folks who sat at the other end. Not a problem for me, but some people don't like that. It's tucked into a small shopping strip in plain view of the road but still you might miss it driving by. Parking was easy even though they were busy. I am looking forward to going back to try some different menu items. Highly recommended.

The restaurant was full, but we were seated within 10 minutes. Coffee and water was quickly delivered and our order was taken. My youngest ordered strawberry pancake's and scrambled eggs, my oldest son ordered 3 egss with sausage, bacon and hash browns. I ordered a cheese omelette with sausage and bacon, grits and toast. My daughter ordered eggs and hash browns with toast. We all very much enjoyed. Will definitely return this trip. Service was excellent. Price was affordable and well worth the visit. All agree this was a great breakfast!
