Cheese fries, hold the liquid cheese
    Gabriel N.

Smash burger paradise. The sauce. The pickles. The patties. The buns. Make sure to order the cheese fries with melted cheese only, unless you like them stadium nachos style. Five stars because the burger is delicious, because Bubs is not pretentious, and because it is fast. The video games inside the original location add a little je ne sais quoi.

The ambiance is like a neighborhood bar setting. I don't believe it's crazy but it has some find pinball and arcade games inside so that's kinda cool. The service was great super friendly and it was fast and accurate. The burgers were not impressive to me the city has a lot to offer specially on burgers. But I guess is not bad eitherZ it's more like you live I. The neighborhood and want a burger that feels like homemade. I wish they had something more spicier, but I guess that is why I love Original slap burger. And other burger spots like beachcomber and the bulldog on canal. I guess I heard some hype and it doesn't meet my expectations. There is no awe

I was finally able to check Bub's off my list today. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I loved how there were arcade games to play as well. The ordering process was easy, quick and straightforward. I'm taking a star off due to parking. There is none and it was kind of difficult to find any.

I'd say 11th best burger in the world. Such a cool place to stop by for a delicious burger. Food came out quick and vibe was exactly what you need for a burger spot

I was kind of disappointed with my experience at Bubs. I had the impossible burger since I have eating restrictions. I didn't realize that to get tomatos or other things that normally come in an burger, you would have to ask and also pay extra for it - they didn't even mention or ask at the register for htem. I thought the burger was quite mediocre in terms of taste and I had higher expectations and the burger didn't really feel that fresh. Their siracha brussel sprouts were well made though and I enjoyed the flavor in that side for sure.

The Double smash cheeseburger is just $6 during the weekday happy hour, from 3-5pm. It's right next door to Banks Bar, so get your drink and food altogether--as they share a window. This is a nice and pretty fast serving neighborhood spot. The burger and onion rings were delicious and I'm super plain, only cheese and meat. No sauce is really needed.

This location is mostly for take out, to go orders. There is very limited seating inside if you do choose to dine in. Love the throwback decor VHS tapes, DVD's. Food is freshly prepared and tasty. They make a great burger and I love the shoestring fries and onion rings.

Burgers were hot off the grill and fresh! Smash burger style with 2 thinner patties. We both had the Bub's Burger and one order of fries to share. They had a few pinball games and an arcade style game too. The lady at the register was nice and helpful. Parking wasn't too difficult to find either. Laid back atmosphere was perfect for quick lunch that wasn't "fast food."

Brussels sprouts with honey Sriracha glaze-highly recommend

Love the vibe of this neighborhood burger joint where you can dine in or carry out. The burgers are served hot and fresh. Flavors are great and so are the prices. Better than some other companies that are in the city. The star of the meal was the crispy Brussels sprouts that are tossed in a honey Sriracha glaze and plentiful. Window service and food is brought to your table by kind staff. I can't wait to come back and try the other burgers.

Super cool burger joint! I don't crave a burger very often but when I do, I want a good ole smash burger, and Bub's was a good option. The patty was cooked well and the toppings were fresh. I love grilled onions but I wish they were diced and charred instead of sliced; they were a bit stringy. The brussel sprouts were good but for me, a bit too sugary and on the burnt side; I think if they were less sweet, less charred, and a bit more acidic they'd be great. I love that they have food happy hour options from 3-5pm! It's an affordable spot with a groovy feel inside. I'd visit again!

Great burger, great fries, great onion rings! Cool vibe inside and out. Nice area of town to sit and relax. Only drawback was their drink selection. Service was superb. Go get you a Bub's burger right now!!

I loved my burger and fries from Bub's! I ordered my meal on Door Dash and it was warm when I received it. The peanut bubber was a pleasant combination. I added jelly to my bubber because why not ‍

Honestly, the food was OK, but I've had much better burger, fries, and brussels sprouts in New Orleans. Even with the sauce on the burger, I felt like it was really dry and the edges of the burger were also burnt. I really wanted to like it, but it didn't hit like I wanted. The price point was fair and the service was really great. The ambience was really unique and they have games inside if you're into arcade games. Very casual neighborhood spot! Overall, I'll probably stick to my other fav burger spots.

If you read…read morethe whole review I'll give you the best tip on how to skip the line (insert shushing emoji) and don't cheat by skipping to the end! Hands down, the best po'boys in all of NOLA. Everything is made from scratch (except the bread, which they source locally), and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorites are the Surf & Turf and the James Brown. The Surf & Turf gives you get the best of both worlds (shout out to Hannah Montana). Look it up kids. You get the slow-cooked roast beef with gravy plus fresh Gulf shrimp. Shut the front door! The James Brown is just as incredible: juicy BBQ beef, pepper jack cheese, fried shrimp, and a hot sauce mayo. Bring napkins - you'll need them. Pro tip: go with a group and order a few different po'boys to share. You'll want to try everything. You made it to the end, so here we go. I feel like gate keeping (look it up old-timers), but I'm going to be generous because I love y'all. In order to skip the line, go to the bar area and find a high top or seat at the bar. A seat always opens up quickly. It never fails. You can order from the bartender and the service is top notch. Cheers y'all!

But, I can say it is a great Po-Boy, if that is what you're looking for... so, why the missing star ??? It's the fries , average at best. For a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, I expect better. Fries are nothing special (IMO). While service was good, because they allow ordering food from the bar and because the bar is encountered before the regular ordering window... people tend to order there and make it difficult for people like me to obtain a second Mango Margarita. I did score a 2nd one, but I almost didn't... we need to figure out how to keep the drinkers happy

It has an interesting, culturally diverse menu, great ambiance, and the folks running it, we met Mike and Chris, were so sweet and lovely to talk to. We got the H&S bibb salad, which was fresh, with fun pops of flavor and crunch, and not overly dressed, which I really appreciate. We then split a bowl of t seafood gumbo, which was incredible. I love a seafood forward stock for gumbo and this one had a great minerality that Mike told us came from the oyster brine he'd saved from the fresh oysters that eventually went into the gumbo. The oysters were perfectly cooked and there were ample crawfish tails and large shrimp to make this a hearty dish. We also got the crawfish spaghetti special, which was loaded up with crawfish tails, and also slices of garlic, onion, and calabrian chili oil which gave a nice spice without making the dish heavy. The drinks were fun too, get the cuba libre daiquiri if you like rum drinks! They have half priced drinks during happy hour, which goes til 6 so you can actually make it after work. We will definitely be back!!
