Food going to be good. Customer service is never friendly. Four, two seater tables to wait for food or eat. Not very clean. Gumbo has went down in flavor and amount given and the price has increased.

Door open, open sign light on. Workers inside. Grill still on. Won't take order.

Pissed off and highly displeased with the service. I've been calling for the last 45 minutes but the phone is off the hook because the employees don't want to take orders. I spent 30 minutes in traffic driving here to get salmon only to walk in to an open restaurant and the employee tells me it's too late to order. Wasted my gas and probably won't be back for a while if ever. Sucks, just lost a good customer. The restaurant probably doesn't care though. I wish you all a better experience.

I've been wanting to try this ever since I saw one of my favorite food bloggers do a video on it, (LA Try Guy I think it's his name) and finally, I was kind of in the neighborhood for work and stopped by and man one of the best decisions ever! Right off the bat parking is super easy and free. The staff is extremely hospitable and so professional. The interior looked super clean. They even have a bathroom which I didn't use. I called in as a to go order. I ordered the catfish lunch with collard greens and it was the bomb! perfection, seasoned perfectly not greasy, fish was soft and succulent, and the collard greens had chunks of pork, I'm assuming. Everything I saw on the menu was affordable. ONLY COMPLAINT is ridiculously small tiny nonexistent little chunks of lemon that they give you. I'm Mexican. We squeeze lemon/lime on seafood all day long! I will definitely return if I'm in the area and I will recommend forever !

Came to this spot during lunch on a weekday. Ordering was quick even with a decent crowd of foot traffic coming in and out. We ordered the catfish with Cajun seasoning, a shrimp po' boy, and fried shrimp and fries for the kids. Everything came out super hot and fresh, and damn that catfish was seasoned perfectly. Finish it off with a little fruit punch, and I need to try their cobblers. If you're looking for a quick fried fish joint with a ton of variety, this place is it.

The special on the GUMBO. IIt looks yummy. Definitely will be trying this

This place is good. I brought my mom here because she loves SEAFOOD. So she a whiting fish plate with fries. I also checked in on Yelp and received a FREE SIDE OR DRINK. I chose GREENS CUZ MY OLD LADY WANTED THEM GREENS..LOLl Momma You made it to Yelp.. She said NO PICS But it was Delicious

I was craving fish and my colleague suggested this place. I think the staff were friendly and efficient, but I was disappointed. The dinner portion was really small and the potato salad was really sub par. The hush puppies were good, but really small. The fish was light and crispy, just small. The peach cobbler wasn't homemade and cold from the refrigerator. Cold cobbler is yucky to me. Not likely to return. I was so excited to have fish .

El Moreno is the opposite -- it hits every single time, no matter what. Before coming here, I thought aguachiles were the top tier... then I tried their salsa morena and that changed everything. Now I don't even bother with anything else -- morena sauce on EVERYTHING. That sauce is on another level. The ceviche mixta with morena sauce is straight fire. We even ordered two big charolas for my son's first birthday party, and I'm not exaggerating -- almost everyone at the party kept asking where we got the ceviche from. That tells you all you need to know. Only downside is the parking can be a little tight since it's on a small corner, but honestly, once you taste the food, you forget about that real quick. If you go, do yourself a favor: get the salsa morena on everything. You can thank me later.

By the end, I wasn't sure if I'd eaten seafood or just done vocal warm-ups. The good news: the food holds its own. The seafood is super fresh, which is a blessing when you need something to focus on besides the bass drop. It's a cozy little spot--parking lot fits about 11 cars, so it's like musical chairs on asphalt. Street parking is an option, just keep an eye out for that street sweeping sign unless you want to donate to the city's "surprise fund." Bottom line: great for a lively, no-fuss meal. Just bring your appetite, your patience, and maybe a subtle hand signal system.

The owners were in the kitchen both times, and the food was excellent. A few weeks later, I returned when the younger staff was working. They accidentally forgot to charge me for my meal. Thankfully, I'm an honest person and reminded them. That visit, the food was much heavier on the lemon pepper seasoning than usual. Today, I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner, and as soon as I opened my container, I noticed the food looked much darker than on my previous visits. It seemed like the fish and shrimp may have been fried in the same batter or grease used for chicken instead of the usual cornmeal fish batter. The fish also had an aftertaste that reminded me of old chicken grease, which was disappointing. I know this restaurant is capable of serving great food because I've experienced it firsthand. My suggestion would be to provide additional training to the staff so the food is prepared consistently, regardless of who is in the kitchen. Consistency is what keeps customers coming back.

I ordered my usual and my mom opted for the Camárones Zarandeado which ultimately is a generous portion of shrimp grilled to perfection coated in some sort of mild spicy seasoning. I always look forward to the chips and salsa as this place offers the spiciest salsa I've ever had. I was practically in tears due to how spicy there green salsa is, and I love spicy food lol. I even overhead another guest compliment the owner on the spicy salsa as they were leaving. My pescado zarandeado was delicious as always and the shrimp was good too. Though i'm not personally quite fond of unpeeled shrimp (with the whiskers and eyes attached) my mom loved it! There was even a friendly local who arrived shortly after us and offered my mom and I a few beers as he had a 12 pack to himself. If you are a true foodie and don't mind the aesthetics ( as it is a food truck situated in an empty lot with an outside seating area) you'll absolutely love this place. The owner is also very kind and attentive which I appreciate. I'll always continue to support this local business and I encourage you to give it a try as well!

Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat.
