I had their lunch special, with fried tilapia & shrimp, with a side of fries and bread. Great seasoning, great flavors on both but the shrimp was the highlight along with their "tartar sause." Service was great! Wait for the food was not long at all, and the asian guy that tended to me was so kind! Ambiance ? its looking rough LOL, but you dont come to a spot like this expecting to stay and everything be instagramable. Plenty of parking! Anna's Fish Market is really delicious. I ordered the 20 piece fish meal which I got 10 catfish and 10 red snapper. It also comes with 2 sides and I choose fries and potato salad. The last thing the 20 piece fish meal comes with is 3 pieces of bread. The customer service was really good from what I saw. When I went in a lady was kinda mad cause she wanted bigger pieces of fish. The cashier brought out the cook to show the pre cut fish to show how they serve it and defused a bad situation. I've had this place bookmarked for awhile. Intended to go every time I was on this side of town. Finally made it! I went hiking in RPV. Was craving fried oysters! Service was awesome! I had plenty of questions. I knew I wanted oysters. I got the oyster combo. Combo comes with two sides and bread/dinner roll. I opted for double hush puppies as my two sides. I also wanted fish, but didn't want to buy a whole dinner. The cashier told me I could get a single piece of fish. I believe it was $2.50 per piece. I love filet sole. It's thin and I like it crispy! The oysters were not big, but came with a lot of smaller pieces. I like the bigger oysters so I could taste more oyster than breading, but this did the trick as well! Smaller pieces, but more pieces! I love hush puppies! These were more crispy on the outside! When my order was ready, I asked for extra tartar and hot sauce. She gave me one and one little cup each. When I opened the bag, to my surprise there was a set of sauces in the dinner and for my single piece of fish! I'm so happy that I got so much tartar and hot sauce! I'm a dunker! My first time at this establishment, I always look at ratings before I go to places cause I want a good experience and I'm a foodie so I like good food. Let's start with the shrimp. The shrimp wasn't good . It's the same as the catfish by the way, it's odd cause they were not appetizing. The shrimp was not clean too. It was almost as if it was not shrimp. It's kind of weird and also the flavors did not have seafood or fish flavors. All of the things that I bit into they didn't have their natural flavors. It was almost like if they were watered down. I don't even know how you could water down seafood but it's the best I could describe it. They had no flavor. The oysters were OK and the seasoning was OK on the oyster so it's weird that everything else was just not up to par. I'm very disappointed because you know $20 it's not easy to come bycome by. You have to work hard for it that I have to throw the food away. The oysters were the most decent. Then I got concern and scared because I don't wanna be sick and I definitely don't wanna eat any like GMO food if that's what it was. It should've been at least 5-6...now that to me would be considered "a side of hush puppies" not counting out 1,2,3,4 and putting them on a customers plate (insert side eye + head tilt to the side)... Ordered a combo dinner forgot to give me the oysters that came with the combo. I paid $5.00 extra for Orange Roughy fish, it comes with 3 pieces of fish and it's like they take a small piece of fish and break it up into 3 pieces. I went back to get my order fixed and I had to tell them that I want a fresh order don't give me the order I brought back because they took my food in the back and was looking in it. The rude girl came back and said that she spoke with the manager and he said that this time they will make my order fresh but not next time. I told her it won't be a next time. How can you tell a customer that when it was your mistake! I should not even have to ask that for my inconvenience. I also noticed that when they prepare the food the women are not wearing anything to protect their hair and no gloves. It made me wonder if that A in the window is real. Food was not good and tasted like it was cooked in old grease and the greens and yams horrible. A great location but I wondered why I never see a lot of people going there, never a line like Family Fish Market. I will NOT be going back there again and will tell friends and family to not go there. Management needs to train staff on efficiency, customer service, cleanliness and how to compensate a customer when its their mistake. I order the fish by the pound and getting 3-4lbs is perfect for 3 people. It's easy to just call in the order and pop in for pickup. Make sure you leave enough time to find parking during peak hours as the parking is limited since the Walmart stays busy. As someone who grew up eating from the family fish fry near KFC give this place a try. I ordered two today's special with both the same items (red snapper, shrimp, fries no salt and macaroni salad) My fries were not I repeat we're not freshly made I ate two and was like what is really going on. I always ask for fries with no salt. If I can't avoid salt I will because of blood pressure. The fish had been sitting there as well. The macaroni salad had so many bubbles on it and was lukewarm. This place specializes in deep fried food and so the place smells of fried food. Fried fish with different selection of the type of fish.
