My family chose Fisher Chart Bus Company Inc. for transportation to and from a wedding. We worked with Beth in the office to set up the reservation. She was very responsive and efficient. She laid out all of the options available based on the size of our party expected to take advantage of the shuttle service. She also factored in the time it typically takes for guests to board and depart the bus when planning our schedule. We decided upon a 56-seat luxury motor coach with one departure at the hotel to take guests to the wedding venue, and three late evening returns from the venue back to the hotel. The motor coach was clean and comfortable and the driver, John, was excellent. I had received John's name and cellphone number the day before the event, and he responded quickly when I texted him a greeting and information that I wanted to relay to him. He was personable, polite, professional, and on-time for each pickup and drop-off. He even was willing to store a wheelchair in the cargo area for one of the guests so that the guest was able to take advantage of the coach service. We hired Fisher Bus (white 35 passenger trolley) March 2019 for a September 2020 wedding in Middletown, RI (initial deposit made 18 months prior) - the wedding was rescheduled due to COVID to September 2021 and the remaining balance was made 2 weeks prior to the wedding. Driver's name and number was provided 2 days before the event, itinerary confirmed. I actually asked the staff to have the driver call when he arrived to the venue and the staff told me that wouldn't be necessary unless there was an issue. On the day of the wedding, the trolley did not arrive to the venue and when we contacted the driver, he did not know that he had the service scheduled. A 22 passenger mini was offered 90 min after the scheduled pickup time which was too late on a tight wedding timeline. After communicating with Fisher Bus after the mishap, the owner brought us to the airport as an apology for the error. In an attempt to coordinate return service, their e-mail service was also not working correctly and spam e-mail was sent from Fisher and they did not receive 3 of my e-mail attempts to reach out to them- further complicating things. I wish I did not have Ito make a poor review about a local company but I really hope this does not happen to someone else, especially on their wedding day. read more

We hired Fisher Bus for our wedding in August. We only had about 30 guests who would need a shuttle to and from the hotel and venue. They have a couple different buses available. The school bus was more affordable but we were afraid of it being too hot without AC available so we ended up paying more to get the coach bus. I had communicated with Beth prior to the wedding date and specifically asked about the AC which I was assured that the coach buses did have. It was 94 degrees on my wedding day and fisher had the bus driver take a coach bus that did not have a working AC. It was extremely hot on the bus. At one point one of the guests took a picture of the internal temperature on the bus and it said 127 degrees... im so disappointed. I wish some guests had told me about this during the wedding because I would have asked fisher for a different coach bus. I would not recommend this company. read more

The driver arrived on time and was pleasant to deal with. Went with the company for the 35 passenger WHITE trolley and on the day of the wedding, the trolley was switched out to a 27 passenger RED and GREEN Christmas Trolley without even a phone call to notify me. Disappointment but as I read reviews, it appears to be a trend with the company that I should have caught earlier. The bus service for the hotel guests was on time and uncomplicated. read more

I recently had my 2019 Sprinter serviced at Fisher Garage and Bus Company for a routine oil and filter change. I knew the cost would be about $200.00-$225.00 dollars from past experiences for synthetic ESP 0W-30 oil and filter, which is manufactures recommended oil for the 2019 model diesel 6 cyl. engine. What I got was a whooping bill for $364.10 for an oil change and the wrong type oil for the vehicle. I mentioned this to the garage service manager who assured me the 5W-40 synthetic oil was correct for the vehicle. Wrong answer that type oil is fine for the 2016 model not for the 2019 which is all new engineering and emissions. Needless to say I got nowhere with the manager and was pretty much forced to sign credit card slip for the full amount of $364.10 under duress. In conclusion, beware of Fisher Garage and Bus Company these people are N/G bandits. read more

My experience with Fisher was less than stellar. We booked a coach shuttle and a school bus for our wedding in Providence in October. The coach shuttle for the wedding party was great. Arrived on time, driver was excellent and it was exactly what we wanted/needed. The school bus on the other hand was a failure. We booked the school bus to shuttle guests between our hotel and the reception location (about a 10-15 minute ride with traffic - both in Providence). The first shuttle arrived at the hotel on time at 5:15 and left for the reception. However, after dropping guests off at the reception (no later than 5:30). However, it did not return to the hotel until around 6:15, causing guests waiting for it to be late for the reception. Some waited for more than 30 minutes at the hotel and then took cabs. We called the bus company during our wedding (exactly what we wanted to be doing) to make sure there were not going to be any issues on the way back to the hotel. The owner called and texted us and confirmed we were all set and that he spoke to the driver. He was very nice and we felt like everything was handled. Then at the end of the night there were supposed to be two trips with the bus to take people back to the hotel. The first trip left with 4 people on it, causing the second bus to be overloaded. At first the driver tried to leave on the second trip with the bus half full, leaving about 20 people to be waiting in the cold for her to come back. After talking to her, and after about 20 minutes of waiting outside the bus, the rest of the guests were allowed on. Several times after this I have tried to follow up with the owner who we spoke with the night of the event (he gave us his cell phone number) and have received no response. From my experience, I would not recommend Fisher Bus to anyone. For the school bus, we paid over $1,000 for four trips. From shopping around this was a reasonable price. But in the end we actually got 2 trips and those were a hassle. So we got 50% of the service we paid for. This coupled with the company not returning any calls is inexcusable. If you need a bus for an event, go elsewhere. read more

Spoke with Beth and she said her supervisor had put the itinerary on hold. I was not told this. In the end they cancelled on my and I was out trying to find a different company to use. I have used Fisher Bus twice - once for my wedding in 2013 when we rented a school bus and the second time this summer for a concert at the Xfinity Center where we rented their 11 passenger van. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for transportation services! For my wedding, Mike was super helpful and flexible when I was working on the logistics of timing. They had the best prices around and our driver Carlos was VERY friendly, accommodating and on time. The school bus was clean and perfect way to transport all of our guests! This past summer there was 9 of us attending a concert at the Xfinity Center so I figured I would reach out and see the cost of having a van drive us to/from the concert and it worked out AWESOME. Once again, Mike and the rest of the staff were quick to respond to my emails and questions. Their prices are great (everything is included minus a tip). The day before they gave us the name and phone number of our driver. Our driver, Joanne showed up early and was so nice and accommodating! We were able to stay with the van in the parking lot before the concert which was great! The van itself had PLENTY of room for the 9 of us and was comfortable and clean! On both occasions, the driver has stayed at the venue the entire time which was helpful when I ran late after my wedding and when we weren't quite sure what time the concert would get out. All of the staff and drivers I have worked with have been extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating! read more
