We were told to wait for the next bus (at 9:30 pm), which would "probably" have enough seats. "Wait for the next bus" is not sound operational policy. Returning from Hyannis on July 8, the bus left 20 minutes late--which is acceptable. But then the driver dawdled and struggled at each and every stop. When the bus arrived at my terminal, it was more than an hour after the expected arrival and I needed special compensation to make my flight. I've seen P&B drivers heroically make up time before. This driver almost seemed intent on making matters worse.

That's $66.00 but the woman on the phone did not explain the additional cost, only cited the cost of gas. I fell trying to get into this vehicle because the running boards were both narrow & high. And while the driver was nice, the person didn't seem at all prepared to handle a situation like this, driving a wheelchair vehicle. Thank goodness I didn't do more than skin my shin. I have lived in Middleboro for years & used Bill's taxi many times, but now that it's apparently been sold to a larger transportation service, it's taking advantage.
