I had been a patient of the office since moving to the area several years ago and had regular dental check-ups and cleanings there. Earlier this year, I was on the West Coast and had occasion to visit my longtime dentist in California. While examining my mouth he quickly discovered that I have a serious infection in my gums that that it had been there spreading for a very long time and gon e undetected by Dr. MacLaughlin. Bottom line is, if you only want to have your teeth cleaned, this practice may be sufficient for you. However, if you want quality preventive dental care and diagnosis of any oral disease, I suggest going elsewhere. As a footnote to the foregoing, when I contacted Dr. MacLaughlin's office to let him know I would not be coming back, the staff member I spoke to asked if there was a problem. In response, I explained that I was not satisfied with the level of care I received there. She apologized and assured me that I would be hearing from Dr. MacLauglin.
