I've passed by Sprinkles many of times and always see a good amount of people there. Now i understand why! Their "Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream" brand is offered at other local ice cream shops but I have never seen someone off as many flavors as Sprinkles does! They staff was extremely friendly and offered what some of their flavor and menu items suggestions would be. They offer free tasting samples ahead of purchasing to ensure you pick the right flavor. I ended up getting the two scoop of Zoreo & S'mores To Love; the scoops were HUGE! They offered me a lid so I could save what I didn't eat now for later. The ice cream was creamy, perfect temperature, and flavor was great! They had some chairs inside but also chairs outside to enjoy. I loved the small touches of foot stools along the counter for little kiddos to jump up and see the flavors for themselves. Found a little place selling chocolate shoppe ice cream flavors. the shop itself is really cute and well laid out. over 48 different flavors of ice cream available with several non dairy options as well. labels helped me determine which products may have nut products with such ease. little pricey for 2 scoops but it is well worth the extra few bucks as the scoops themselves are quite hefty. For a Wednesday night after 9 pm, it was very busy. I was unaware that the whole neighborhood was going to show up at the same time. In add insult to injury, it seemed like all of the customers knew the staff and were talking to each of them for like 20 mins straight. Definitely different than the other ice cream places I've been to, where customers just get their ice cream and leave. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. They do have seating inside but again the whole neighborhood was using them. They have seating outside and that's where we sat to get away from the crowd. The service is hard to rate. When people stopped telling them their whole life story, we were able to try some samples and place our orders. That service was very quick and attentive. Prices were fair. They have a lot of unique flavors. We decided to get 2 scoops per person. We got the carrot mango sorbet (I can't remember the exact name), raspberry rhapsody, espresso Oreo, and ube chai. The carrot mango was the best. I certainly liked the combined flavors and the taste was refreshing. The raspberry rhapsody was delish. Expresso Oreo had nice chunks of Oreo and the coffee flavor was very noticeable. Ube chai was okay. The flavor was more subtle. This is about a 4.5. It's worth a visit. read more

With my husband and I living in Schaumburg for two years, we came to Sprinkles for the first time a couple of days ago and were so pleased with our experience. First, the ice cream shop is small with no places to sit inside, but they do have cute, colorful seats that line the windows outside. They also have SO many flavors of ice cream; there are 4 different glass cases of different flavors, and what each flavor consists of is also stated under the names of each one. IT'S SO HARD TO CHOOSE ONE, so we will need to come back soon so I can try more flavors. The place was so busy when we got there, and people were sampling different flavors. Thankfully, there were also many young teenage workers, so they were able to handle all of the families that happened to come in right when we did. We were helped by Alison and she was great. She was very patient with us as we picked our flavor, and although we weren't ready right away with what we wanted, she waited for us to choose so she can help us before helping someone else. I ultimately chose the Lattelada flavor in a bowl, and my husband chose an ice cream cookie sandwich with double chocolate cookies and cookie dough ice cream. My flavor was a mix of espresso ice cream and chocolate chips. Let me tell you, this ice cream is beyond creamy. I am picky with ice cream, and the texture and consistency of the ice cream here were superior to many other places. Some ice cream at other places tastes a little freezer burned, but this wasn't like that at all. Pricewise, Sprinkles is not bad at all. Many local ice cream shoppes are pricy, but I would say that most things here are priced fairly. One scoop of ice cream was $4.50, but they did not skimp out on us. The scoop was large. Overall, with my husband always craving ice cream, I know this place will become our first choice. I cannot wait to try new a bunch of other flavors! The weather has been nice so naturally this place was packed!! Even though there was a line out the door the service was quick and the staff was handling this well. No one seemed discouraged or annoyed with the constant flow of people. The ice cream options are great, it took me forever to make a decision haha. Guess that means I'll have to come back and try them all! They do have a top 20 flavors list which is helpful if you're indecisive like me. We tried the Superman - fruity and creamy, notes of orange, cherry and vanilla. I didn't know what to expect but I liked it! Stopped by because I read that they offer chocolate shoppe ice cream. Went there with my daughter and she loved the variety of flavors and options. They didn't charge for a waffle cone which is rare nowadays. They also had several non dairy options for us lactose intolerant folks. We went on a Thursday afternoon right after school was complete for the day. The place wasn't too busy but they only had one person working so it may be a wait if there are several folks ahead of you ordering. We stumbled across this place on our drive back home. The had allot of cool flavors to try. They offer a variety of sizes, including kids scoops for fraction of the price, which had me sold. It's just nice to spend less for little ones that probably won't finish a whole cup. My daughter got cotton candy, my son got super man, I got a large ultimate Oreo shake, and my husband got a regular scoop of the blueberry cheesecake. The service is so fast. My favorites are always the zamzibar chocolate (it's a dark chocolate) and the Fat Elvis, which is banana ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate chunks! They have dairy free options as well. Other ice cream shops who serve Chocolate Shoppe always charge an arm and a leg. This place is reasonably priced, allows credit cards, and has a punch card...woo-hoo! The only downside is that there are no tables inside, just chairs lining the perimeter. And it isn't really a downside because if it's nice out, you might as well eat outside! My favorite flavor of all time is mint chocolate chip, so based off that and my dream I had to go for their upgrade of "Mint Avalanche" which includes Andes candies and Grasshopper cookies. That was delicious, but I was really blown away by their "Fat Elvis" - banana ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate chips, which had a great balance of sweet, salty, and bittersweet. Some things are worth the drive. Sprinkles is one of those things. A friend found out about this place so we stopped in (on a 90+ degree day) before heading back to our turf. Fantastic flavor and lots of variety! I got the Peanut Butter Cup which had a base of rich chocolate and chunks of pb cups contained within, in a crisp yummy waffle cone. My friend got the Coconut Almond Bliss which was sufficiently blissful. Be sure to read the humorous "nutrition information" on the side of the cup! Only downfall: this place is tiny (most of the space is taken up by the ice cream freezers, and on this hot day it was overrun by loud teen customers). Even though it is always busy here, the line moves pretty fast and there are always plenty of servers here. My favorite flavor is the "$&@! Just Got Serious" flavor. In fact, I first tried it after reading a previous review here. It is very unique and creamy and is kind of a salted caramel taste but better. I am sorry I don't recall the owner/manager's name, but he always takes time to greet people and offer suggestions or tastes. The quality is a step above many other shops and incredibly smooth. Their Ice cream was creamy and smooth. We tried the small sundaes, two scoops, and had a hard time finishing them. Went with some friends. Huge, huge variety. I went for the Yippee Skippee (peanut butter ice cream with choc covered pretzels), and friends had caramel chaos and Superman. They have an incredible selection, including low sugar and sorbet options. They also have a cool board with a rated listing of their most popular flavors. There are a variety of sizes and cones, different sundae options, toppings, etc. Staff were attentive, helpful, patient and efficient even when the place got pretty busy. There are a few colorful plastic lawn chairs outside, but other than that no seating area inside. My friends and I sat on the curb and enjoyed our ice cream there. I liked the flavor I chose. I had never had peanut butter ice cream before, but it was flavorful and didn't have ice crystals or anything. The choc pretzels were a bit softish just from the moisture I guess. I got a kid's scoop in a cup for about $2.25 or $2.50, which is very affordable. I would like to come back and try more flavors. From the customer service, to the variety of flavors, to the price, Sprinkles was a great last minute off-the-beaten-path discovery. Located in an outside strip mall about 5 miles west from Ikea, serving up Chocolate Shoppe brand ice cream, my winning flavor was probably the best ice cream I can remember having. And, take note, I'm not an ice cream fan. In fact, I could live my life not eating it. But, after having the flavor *This $&@! Just Got Serious (TM)*, I'm hooked :-) A generous scoop of rich and creamy ice cream with ooey, gooey salted caramel, sea salt fudge, and crunchy salted cashews...come on! I'm not sure I'll get to Sprinkles again, unless I'm in the area, but I'll for sure be seeking out Chocolate Shoppe ice cream at a location...hopefully closer to where I live. I actually tried Zanzibar chocolate ice cream at a small ice cream stand in Wisconsin. Overwhelmed by the flavor, I asked who the distributor was -- The Chocolate Shoppe. I then immediately went on a search to find ice cream stores in the Chicagoland area who sold The Chocolate Shoppe, only to stumble into Sprinkles. At this point, I've now brought family and friends to Sprinkles and they have enjoyed the other amazing flavors such as: Fat Elvis, Superman, and Zoreo. This little shop is small but has an amazing selection of flavors. Staff is super friendly and they have a rewards program (which is good for a frequent buyer like myself)! The way these teen stare at you and don't greet you erks me. Last night around 8-9 I walk in and there's four workers there not one of them said anything. To make it less awkward I say " hey how you guys doing" no response ..... elderly white woman , young black women , young tall white guy and young white woman said nothing. We just bought a home in the area and love the neighborhood. Sprinkles is one of the local spots that our family has been visiting on a weekly basis and my family just can't get enough of this place.  For starters, they have banana cream pie as a flavor which got me hooked right off the bat. They have other unique flavors and the prices are completely reasonable. The first scoop is $3 and then just $1 more for each scoop afterwards. Kid's scoops are only $1.25 each which is a huge plus for my little one. They also have a rewards program that I recommend.  Special thanks to Sprinkles. Good stuff!!!! If you can't find a flavor here, then you are the pickiest human being alive because they seriously have freezer cabinet upon cabinet full of different flavors. And the scoops are big. I got a double scoop (banana cream pie flavor for one, and kitty kitty bang bang I think might've been the name?) - and they were both really good.
