The resort itself is incredibly unique. I loved the retro feel and all the little details that make it feel like so much more than just a place to stay. We happened to be there during the hottest part of the summer, but the camper's AC worked amazingly well, and the pool was the perfect place to cool off. One of my favorite touches was the record player and collection of records in the camper - it really added to the whole retro experience and made our stay feel extra special. The Two-Stepping weekend was absolutely fantastic! Casey and Atticus thought of everything and created such a fun and welcoming event. From the incredible musicians performing live on the patio to the dance lessons, activities, and wonderful local vendors, it was clear how much thought and care went into making the weekend so special. It was the perfect combination of a unique place to stay and an unforgettable experience. One of the things I really love about Blue Skies is that there are only five campers on the entire property. It gives the resort such a private, intimate feel and would make an amazing getaway for a small group of friends or a family. And being so close to Fredericksburg makes it an ideal Hill Country escape...you get the peace and charm of being out in the country while still being close to great restaurants, wineries, shopping and everything Fredericksburg has to offer. Blue Skies has such a great atmosphere, and you can tell the people behind it genuinely care about creating a memorable experience for their guests. I booked Miss Lottie for myself for a solo trip. My retired mother decided to join me. So, I tried to upgrade to a larger trailer. Even though I booked well in advance (at least two weeks), when I tried to secure a larger space, I was informed that no changes could be made inside the 30-day window before my check-in date. Also, no refunds either. So, Mom and I shared the small trailer and made the best of it. But it would have been better to have the ability to move our reservation, especially if other trailers were available. Another reason I dropped a star is that we were not able to take a hot shower during our entire three-night stay. The property manager tried to fix the issue, but the water never got warmer than barely lukewarm. Since it was October and cool in the mornings and evenings, this was disappointing and very inconvenient. Furthermore, the showers are outside and I could not stand under cool water while being exposed to cool air, shivering to get clean. Besides those two grievances, we enjoyed our stay in the spotless, beautiful surroundings.

Since it was only my husband and I we originally requested a kind bed, the 3 queen room was not an upgrade. It was terrible and smelled like heavy, toxic women's perfume. We then requested again to have one king bed which they told us they originally did not have one available, but after a few minutes there was one available. Once we got in the room, which was right next door to the triple queen room.It did not smell of heavy toxic, women's perfume, instead it had black mold in the bathroom. Also, the shower control was broken and we could only get scalding hot water to come out of the shower.

Knowing that the Eclipse was coming to Texas in 2024, me and my lady decided to make a roadtrip adventure out of it. While it has been a tremendous adventure, there have been many challenges along the road. Near the home stretch of our journey, my vehicle started exhibiting bad behavior but we didn't have a lot of options for repair. We had a reservation at Cedar Creek Inn, but because of our impaired vehicle we were running severely behind time. We did not arrive at Cedar Creek until roughly 8am on the day we were supposed to check out. Exhausted and at the end of our mental and physical stamina, the owners were kind enough to allow us stay late to rest and recuperate. After the eclipse event, we needed a place to hole up again while we tried to organize a solution for the car. Again the owners bent over backwards to help us and give us a safe, clean and comfortable place while we solved our problems and got back on the road. I am truly grateful that people like this exist in the world. It goes beyond a simple merchant and client relationship and shows true care and understanding towards another human being in need. Someone else did the right thing and called the cops to put it out of its misery. When these honorable men arrived the female owner with a buzz cut lost it. The police ended the does struggle and then it all went downhill. This woman proceeded to holler at the top of her lungs all sorts of obscenities and curses at these people. Absolutely disrespectful and angering to watch. The man who I assume is either her husband or brother, silently watched in approval and glared at the policemen. That's the kind of place this seems to be. To be honest this is pretty typical of the owners. On another occasion I went to them to ask for a piece of information. It was the morning and the two were sitting on a log and had thrown a watermelon on the lawn for the deer. The whole occasion was a bit uncomfortable now that I think of it. The woman was dressed in a robe and held a dog. The man was dressed but both were staring me down as I approached them. Perhaps it was too early in the morning for them to deal with customers, but I figured since we were in the public area it would be cool. Not at all. The man straight up ignored me after I asked my question and I walked away with the converse just hanging. That's the kind of people the owners are presenting themselves as. This place is right next to a hippie dippie CBD/smoke shop and an industrial storage yard. They have semis, a bulldozer and random pieces of industrial trash just laying around. If you can deal with this, then hey, maybe this place is for you. The place right down the road, closer to pace bend park, seems like a better bet though.

(For size reference, we have a 36 ft pull behind trailer that is pulled with a Chevrolete 2500 Silverado) Overall the resort has cozy, friendly, family feel which I enjoyed. Creeped us out. Set the tone for whole stay. There is no office or reception. Self check in. Felt so out of place, left within 30 minutes. Felt creeped out. Just us and demon statue. Contacted business to let them know we were disturbed and did not stay due to way place made us feel. Deep in woods with a demons statue. Ew. They were inconsiderate about our stay, charged us full price (over $500) and refused refund or partial refund. I don't care what kind of business you have. Different strokes for different folks. If you are into that cool. But when a place advertises peace and relaxation, but the environment makes you feel completely opposite, and you DONT stay, you leave right away, it would have been fair for partial refund at least. It shows they don't stand behind their business and don't believe in what they sell. Just profit. Disappointed
