5/5! We enjoyed our stay and it was incredibly peaceful and appreciate all the activities mentioned while we were there. There are some spots of the location that are spotty in service but you are basically camping so that's somewhat expected though they do have wifi you can connect to! From my experience there wasn't a physical desk or reception desk to check-in so you would have to contact the hotel by call or text where they provide the information to you. I will mention that I thoroughly appreciate their customer service through text when we needed something or asked for clarity. Incredibly attentive and so helpful! Really made the experience memorable because of it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the lookout, the games, plenty of seating, private chairs/hammock, activities around, personal space of acres, etc. We would absolutely will come back again! Such an amazing experience!! I wish we could've stayed longer! The private domes were sooooo dreamy. While also being so so cozy. This is definitely glamping for people who don't enjoy camping. ;) The inside had a cozy bed in what I would call a "living area" and behind it was a full bathroom with hot water in the shower. The toilet was not connected to central plumbing (unsurprising), so you are NOT allowed to flush toilet paper or anything other than human waste. Just FYI on that! It had its own AC system so we were able to crank it down to our usual bedtime temperature of 67 degrees to enjoy a peaceful sleep. It also had a mini fridge with some water and a couple beers. Snacks on the counter for us to enjoy. A cute little "camping" coffee system along with instructions on how to use it. Card games that my husband and I played together one evening. Yoga mats! And a sheet to help you practice different yoga poses. A record player that actually works and so much more!!! It seriously was a luxurious experience out in the middle of nowhere. The site also has an outdoor game area (giant Connect 4, ladder golf, etc), hiking trails and event a labyrinth to go explore! We closed the curtains to the giant window at night because the moonlight was BRIGHT, plus we didn't want the possibility of people being able to watch us while sleeping. Creepy! Although the only interactions we had with people while staying here was one evening at the community game area we saw a family leaving as we approached the area to play giant Connect Four. Then we heard our neighbors in the dome next door chatting later that evening. Otherwise, it was pretty empty! Granted, our stay occurred on a Sunday through Tuesday in October. Our dome had a plunge pool on its private patio, although it was still cold in October, but we used it anyways. 10/10 recommend booking a weekend trip here if you're looking to get out in nature and relax but still want to enjoy the comforts that life has to offer. read more

Booked this place this past weekend. After booking the room, there was some more "hidden" fees that we had to pay. It would've been better if we were aware of it. We already spent a lot for it and to pay more afterwards was unnecessary. This place is great if you want to get in touch of nature. We booked a "sunset view" and didn't get a view of the sunset, very unfortunate. They have curtains so you can block out any light but it doesn't cover up all the way. Not sure if that's their concept... They have out door games and an area to hit some gold balls, but none of them are kept up, it did not look like they regularly clean up or organize the games. The outdoor furniture also does not look like it is kept up neatly. They need their exit signs to be bigger. Wish they had two different roads for exit and entrance because it's shared, really inconvenient. Their entrance gate was open the entire time during our stay. I felt that anyone could come and go, therefore leaving us open to theft and our safety. I enjoyed the highland cows and farm cat, very cute. Wish it was more dog friendly. Great concept, but not executed well, needs more work. read more

I'm currently sitting on the deck with a breathtaking view, as the sun rises and having my delicious drip coffee while birds chirp in the background. I haven't had this sort of peaceful moment in a very long time! What an amazing and beautiful and truly astonishing experience we have had here at the Missing Hotel! I am obsessed with every detail inside and out. Not to mention it was the best mattress I've ever slept on! If you're needing some quiet time and enjoy the terrain and vibe of the hill country in Texas, this is a well thought out business. The cabins sit on a great lookout ridge, and has trails and private little lounging areas all over the property. The Yoku Cabin is simple in a good way, elegant and modern with a tinge of rustic charm. The bed faces 2 doors that are MASSIVE. About 12 feet tall and 10 feet wide, and they open completely up. So you're essentially enjoying the comfort of a nice hotel cabin, while you look directly outside a sprawling hilltop view of all the big valleys and hills. Directly above you is a solid glass ceiling, I wouldn't even call it a skylight because it's 1/3 of the entire ceiling. The patio and deck is big enough ought to accommodate 20 people , though it is just 2 of us. They have a built in electric Blackstone grille with the iron works that wrap around the big deck. In center of the deck there's a perfect sized dipping pool. It's a bit nippy now but I'll be using it in the morning as a wake up. Walk in shower is a very generous size, and the kitchenette is just what we needed to grill our steaks and prep our sides. Counter tops made of concrete and a big mantle. The whole cabin has under lights in smart spots , including the shower which is a very clever touch for that kind of ambience that makes me feel that A.S.M.R. buzz. One of the trails leads down to two highland cows that are adorable and eagerly waiting for their treats. There's a container of sweet feed pellets to hand them and that was an adorable experience. The male is a tank but he's sweet, just don't put your hands anywhere that he can smush them with his huge head. He likes to kinda head-bang gently when you touch him but he is massive, handler beware. We got to pet the little resident farm cat too, a tuxie girl with a gorgeous coat and fluffy feet's. She purrs loud and let us pet her a while. Careful! She's wandering around the compound This is a well thought out little getaway, far enough to feel that you're in the sticks it close enough to go get supplies from HEB and so on. Highly recommend giving this a shot if you're used to the hum drum bed and breakfast type experience. This seems meant more for a city detox and back to nature experience and we love it. We've only been here a half day and already love it. Tomorrow we will go check out the look-out trail that has a pinnacle spot for a vista that's as far as the eye can see. We will look forward to a return again and highly recommend. read more

Ok. It's Glamping. And Pooping is an experience. Dropping mic now. Now that I have your attention... I Gotta say, you either love being away in nature & cutoff from technology, and outdoorsy, or you don't. My gorgeous and loyal wife of 15 years found this secret hideaway place from a TX travel lady who goes to obscure places. Yup. I'm in. The website is fancy. At the time of this posting, they only have 6 lodgings, and that's perfectly okay. We rented a geodesic dome for 2 days. You are paying to go adventure on 100 acres of land. DO THAT! Go hiking. They got painted rocks, and hideaway areas on the trail where you can relax. We found 2 chairs on a ridge with a foot rest and spent over two hours uninterrupted - wait, no, UNINTERRUPTED - except by a welcome breeze or squawking bird. Man. Yeah. That conversation is one I'll never forget. That space allowed for meaningful conversation that I don't know would have happened elsewhere. Priceless. And then we returned where I proceeded to embibe booze, listen to music, and paint. And after, pass out. Pros: Quiet. Star gazing. The space to Connect with your partner. Really good Air Conditioning. Hiking. Darn good coffee and a cool way to brew it. Paints on demand to channel Bob Ross - and I did - and you should too. A dipping pool tub to cool off. A unique experience worth posting & talking about. An Awesome mattress. So awesome that we asked the owners what brand it was and bought a new one fir ourselves. Seriously. Yoga. A friendly cat that finds you. Oh and they provide books you can keep. Cons.... Water pressure but it's forgivable. Tip: take booze. And take sandwiches or wraps or some other small snack foods. The location was great and the accommodations were as advertised (visually). Our unit was infested with 3 different varieties of spiders. We found at least 10 in the first 60 minutes of being in the room. It's obvious that there were no pest control measure taken. I expect bugs when I'm glamping, but for the price, the room should be clean. read more

Australian here! I came here with my boyfriend for our first Valentine's Day together. Haven't yet explored much of Texas I didn't know what to expect. It was also our first time in a Dome! Missing Hotel exceeded our expectations with location, scenery, accommodation layout and activities for adults! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we got the most out of our stay and to accommodate us. What a beautiful resort with cute secret look outs which overlooks the 360 degree panoramic landscapes Texas has to offer. We especially enjoyed feeding the resident highland cows and the delicious breaky and pie from Bluebonnet cafe 15 mins up the road. We also loved the visit from the resident kitty, MJ! What a gentleman! We will absolutely be returning on our next visit to the USA to stay in the other beautiful properties Missing Hotel has to offer. 10/10 read more

This place was outstanding in every way! The property is gorgeous with stellar views. We did a bit of hiking - not too strenuous, and the trails were clearly marked. The dome we stayed in was clean and cool despite the insane heat! The owners clearly put a lot of thought into the "little things" that make the stay extra special, and the decor seemed carefully curated. Lots of hidden gems to be found onsite as well if you embrace your inner explorer! Oh, and definitely seek out the mini cows during your stay. Brand new baby Blue is adorable :) Will definitely be back! read more
