We absolutely can't wait to come back!! This facility is so nice with countless amenities. There's lots of little details that make it one-of-a-kind. We stayed in the standard, $50 back in spots and loved it. Parked in 83 along the road and had great PM shade. Amenities: Premium amenities all over the place. Decent size pool with lots of umbrellas! Tons of seating both at the pool and surrounding the the pool. Turf with cornhole, dice, soccer balls. Pickle ball court with balls and rackets. Ping pong table with balls and paddles. Sand volleyball court with a washing station for the sand. Dog park. The pond was beautiful!! It had lots of Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, a tree swing. Plus poles for you to use to fish. The check in office was fully stocked with a small supplies, snacks, and tons of drinks including beer. Thoroughly impressed!! The sites were average in size, maybe a touch small. Park was quiet, even on the 4th of July. The grass on the sites was pretty spotty but no big deal. And lot of sticker burrs on the pup but luckily they were soft not spikey! Lots of dogs, all on leashes. All in all, can't say enough good things Open Air and we will definitely be back.

We wanted to test out the new Super C RV and Open Air Resorts was the perfect place to saddle up. The staff was over the top awesome and super friendly. The kids had a blast fishing, swimming, and making fire :) This is a newer park and has all the amenities. We had full hookups for the rig and sweet spot right by the lake. Highly recommend!!

We spent a week at this lovely place and loved it! We rented a retro trailer that was awesome! My kids had a blast and upon leaving I asked how they like it they all gave it five stars. We loved the amenities and the great linens. Our friends stayed at another trailer and each are uniquely redone and cool! Each trailer had a deck and a picnic table. The kids spent most of their time riding bikes, swimming in the pool and fishing at the stocked pond. It was a quite and relaxing week. It was a great location with easy access to different things to do locally. This place was also clean, every morning I would wake up to go and shower and the staff was cleaning and serving everything they were super nice!

    This sign was really cool.

This was my first RV trip and I'm glad I chose to take it to Open Air RV Resort. It's conveniently located so it's not far from all the cool stuff to do in this part of the state plus the managers were super friendly. The landscape is well kept and even though you're next to people I still felt like I had my own piece of solitude. The on-site amenities were awesome and the bathrooms just as clean as the ones at Buccess. I'm definitely coming back here again soon because I felt at home. Thanks Open Air RV.

Great for COVID social distancing vacay! Don't have your own RV...no problem! Rent one onsite. Excellent staff and amenities. Become members at Stonehouse Vineyards for easy getaway and wine pick up. This is a great place to stay and enjoy the surrounding attractions.

We stayed on opening weekend and really enjoyed our time, so much we re-booked for Labor Day weekend while there. There's a great winery down the road and Angels Icehouse is also close. Opening weekend they had a fun event and they have another planned Labor Day weekend. It's a great spot for Austinites to get away without making a long drive.

Our campsite with good shade and next to some vintage Airstreams!

The electricity here in the summer in a fifth wheel from my experience and from others experience here is 225$ and up per month. Which is nearly half or more of the rent of the actual site. A lot of insects, scorpions, spiders all over the outside of the laundry house and around the RVs. Red ants are everywhere. Had to close all of my tanks or roaches would come up through the drains inside of the RV even though I have a clean rig. Wild hogs are around and go through this area often as well, you can hear them, and they roam through the park at night when they pass through the area. The water system is separate on the back sites by the laundry vs the rest of the park. Some of the maintenance i know in the park has been done by unlicensed and unprofessional individuals. Causing toxic very strong smelling water to run through the rigs and water lines of the rigs. There is nothing in the park other than lots and a small laundry/bath house. Being that they also charge so much for electric, along with the rest of the issues, I would highly suggest and recommend choosing another park.

What a beautiful property! The lake, unfortunately, was dry due to the hot Texas weather, but looks like it will be fun to hang out at once it is full again. The house was well stocked and the owners provided little touches that make it even more welcoming. Katz even brought us some home made cookies on our last night, they didn't last long! This is the perfect house for your small or large groups, as it sleeps 20. Stocked kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry. Towels, linens, and most kitchen needs are provided. Beds are comfy and the view is amazing. Sit on the deck while hummingbirds fly all around. We can't wait to come back when the lake is full and spend a little more time on the property!

Some of the tree roots were the biggest and most unique I've ever seen in my life. The whole place just had such a calm, magical feeling to it. One thing to note is that there are a LOT of stairs in many locations and most are very steep, so it's definitely not stroller-friendly if you are a family with young ones. If you're bringing little ones, just be mindful and watch your step going down the stairs toward the springs. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. You can either camp overnight or purchase a day pass. From what I remember, day passes were $10 per adult, kids under 3 were free, and camping was around $21 a night. They close the springs at 8:00 pm and for campers quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. No loud generators allowed for campers. They had so many little hidden coves and tucked-away areas where you could set up camp, which made it feel really private and peaceful. I was also very impressed with how clean everything was. The bathrooms and showers were pristine, very sanitary, and conveniently located within walking distance of the entrance. One surprise I didn't expect was that they also have a separate swimming pool in addition to the springs, which ended up being great because the water at the springs was a little murky the day we went due to recent rain. Still gorgeous to look at though, especially with the waterfall. It honestly felt surreal, like you forgot you were still in Texas. They also have a beautiful butterfly garden with tons of unique plants and greenery that made the experience interesting. Overall, this place just gave off such a good feeling. Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful, and definitely a must-see if you enjoy nature. We'll absolutely be returning again.

The man-made pool has spring water; this is where I would recommend families with children or inexperienced swimmers go. It's lovely and more of a managed pool setting. We hiked down the stone steps to reach the natural springs which are so beautiful with a picturesque mini waterfall and a rope swing as well! However swimming here can be treacherous. I highly recommend water shoes as there are lots of rocks and moss in the springs. Water depth also varies greatly from one spot to another so it's important to be aware of that. Water temperature was comfortable and cool - felt great on a hot summer day. Wrapped up our visit in the garden, which is so beautifully maintained. Absolutely lovely and zen. The changing room and bathroom facilities are clean and easily accessible. We left feeling dry, happy, and peaceful after a wonderful day in nature.

I couldn't even get a campsite reservation because it was so popular a few years ago. It is truly past its prime now, and not just with the lack of cliff jumping. The campsites seem to be at about 50% capacity. We drove past so many camping areas that were closed. They're not using their usual online reservation system, and instead you have to reserve by emailing them and requesting specific sites. This is very inefficient as I saw quite a few vacant sites in person that were supposedly taken according to the website. We stayed at Kate's and Johnson campground, which is a primitive car camping site with pit toilets. There were no sinks, but there was hand sanitizer, and the bathrooms were quite clean for pit toilets. The campsites each had a grill and fire pit, but there was a burn ban so we couldn't have a ground fire. There was also a picnic table at each site. They limit each site to two cars, and they told me I couldn't park elsewhere in the park or pay for just the parking for an additional car. I would have had to pay for another site just to add one car. There's a lot of land in this park and not a lot of people with plenty of empty campsites even on a weekend, so I thought this was a little unreasonable. We went hiking on the blue trail per the recommendation of the lady at the lady who checked us in at the entrance. She told us it has the best views of the park. We certainly reached the highest point of the park, but there were no views. It was all rocks and trees. The trails are all pretty short. We went up the blue trail and down the yellow from the southeast trailhead, and it was a total of 3.6 miles. I liked the hike for a bit of exercise, but there wasn't really anything to see, so we felt deceived. My friend went swimming in the lake, and he seemed to enjoy it except for the sharp rocks at the bottom. I didn't go swimming, but I'm sure it would be enjoyable on a hot day.
