I dipped my toe in it and it was icy cold. I absolutely loved this day spending time enjoying nature. Don't sleep on this recreation park. There's restrooms onsite.

A couple years ago we swore we'd never be back because the hosts were essentially harassing us over every detail of our group (we tend to take about 10-15 camp sites, which is more than half of the park. This year was the best ever. The hosts, Mike and Annette, were AMAZING. They knew about our experience in the past and knew to give us the ground rules up front, and did it in the nicest way. They were constantly checking in to make sure we were having a great time, they hosted movie nights for the kids, drove the train around the park with the littlest ones, and just made sure our experience was amazing. We already booked a week for next year and can't wait. We hope Mike and Annette stay for many years!

The campsites are set on top of each other, therefore you will be within 10ft of another group. This would be fine if your neighbors are respectful. The restrooms (portapotties) weren't very clean either. However, the campsites did have plenty of shade, a table, campfire, and bbq grill. Could be a cool place if you're lucky enough to be near good people. We ended up leaving in the middle of the night. Unfortunately no refunds :(

We had planned for a family visit since our father of 80+ years lives within a mile. Then COVID second round picked up and Llano county thought it bad enough that they shut the school back down and went to virtual again. I went back to my Cardiologist and Pulmonologist this morning and they both said I should not go and stay inside my own home since our areas have gone back to red. I emailed the owners of this place and said my doctors have advised me to stay home since I am high risk and they offered only half back. We are 11 days out of travel dates and I get a to bad so sad. Also be advise they do not allow ESA animals even with a doctors letter. Run from this place stay at either Willow Point Big Chief or go on up to Tow it will be worth the drive to go to Tow.

So here we go The humans booked us right outside of Austin, Tx at the Sun Outdoors Lake Travis RV park and we have to say we give this place 's from a dog perspective one of the things we loved the most were the 3 dog parks, so space for all of us regardless of personalities. Each dog park has a few big trees for shade, picnic bench for the humans to sit & bags and trash close by. While there are no jungle gyms for us to play on, we are ok with that as that gives us more room to run off the crazies. Also no water bowls @ 2 of the parks, but the largest did have a water bowl along with a doggie wash station The park had nice wide roads throughout so the humans can walk us and if there are any other dogs, each can pick a side of the road if needed! Also a nice off road walking path. RV site - nice and enough room between RVs so you don't feel on top of your neighbor. Usually a tree or two per site, picnic table, and grass at our site. Only downside, no fire pit but it was warm out so we didn't really miss it. Humans are happy tho, 50amp service, great water pressure, and sewer available at each site AND daily trash pick up RV park - nice wide roads, no low overhanging branches, gravel site but level enough and enough room for a 42' trailer + truck Took about 20-40 mins to get to downtown Austin depending on traffic. Pool and jacuzzi for the humans, along with a airstream cafe at the pool! also a gym and a clubhouse, again for humans We would definitely stay here again, everyone was nice and the park was kept in great condition #bringfido

The latest...I am a long term resident and spend $14,000 per year on my site rental. So far, $28,000. I have a premium site with ample room around my rig. 2 weeks ago another 5 th wheel pulled into the spot next door. And quickly erected a 10 x 10 x12 ft high solid wall tent and are using it to store an ATV and a big metal tool boxes. Management tells me it's compliant as they allow "dining canopies." this is not a canopy it is an encapsulated storage room. It is the only one at this campground. Many real "canopies" are here that you can see through and are about 8 feet high. When I walk in my front door, I see the 12 foot solid white wall from the bottom of my window to the top. That is all I see through 3 windows. To boot the RV on the other has 4 vehicles (2 are allowed.) Manager told me "as long as they all fit." So I have a white wall on one side and a wall of trucks on the other. What did I select a $1200 site just to have a tent 5 feet from my window.

And the heating and cooling work very well. The windows in our cabin were able to provide ample natural light. The quilts make a lovely, homey touch. All the beds were comfortable to sleep upon. We enjoyed the clubhouse with the many rooms and kitchen, which can accommodate multiple groups of guests. Far enough from technology to focus on being with ourselves. And so happily, we could finally see stars. It's amazing how peaceful and recharging this place is. I highly recommend coming here and resting your soul.

Tim was very informative about safety, as well as the tour itself. Lots of fun facts about the area, and folk lore as well. The day was perfect. The water birds entertained us up and down the river. The ride was smooth, the boat well maintained. Fresh iced tea or water available. Clean restrooms. Upper or lower decks both have plenty of seating and availability for pictures. Tim came around close to the end of the tour and offered to take pictures of us as a wonderful reminder of what a great time we had! It's a great experience! I highly recommend it!
