Cash-Only The breakfast items are pretty well made, I found it pretty much comparable to any other breakfast place. I was surprised to find out it's cash only, but they do have an ATM machine inside. The restaurant's utensils and cups are pretty old. The ketchup bottle old an old jar, someone could easily dip their spoon in it. I am all for businesses maintaining their heritage/originality, but modernizing some of common items like payments and utensils, would improve customer experience. read more

Located on a beachside boardwalk, this tiny breakfast spot is constantly busy...and for good reason. There is something to be said about the homey feeling you get when walking into this crowded dining space and speak to the servers. While I can't possibly acquire the appetite to try most of what is on the menu, I tagged along with nine others who ordered different dishes from those I got. I can say with confidence that I demolished two plates of food, a.k.a., "the big one," and would happily do it again. Everything on my plate tasted high quality. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were not rubbery, the bacon and sausage were both crispy and fresh, the home fries had lots of textural variety, and the toast was thick and not overly buttered. My brother's omelette was the best he ever had, and the special omelette was very tasty. There was nothing short of praise all across the board. All that being said, if you are on a diet, this place will not suit you too well. I had a feeling of what I was getting myself into when I saw my order placed in front of me. I am not sure if there is a side of fresh fruit on the menu, but that is something to consider ordering when coming here to balance the meal out. Everything was delicious, but at the same time it was definitely greasy. However, the hearty and big homestyle American breakfasts are likely what this establishment is going for, so I cannot hold it against it for the grease. Not every restaurant can suit everyone, after all. Overall, I absolutely loved Fishin' Pier Grille. The servers were very kind and welcoming, which added to the amazing experience. Also, the prices are surprisingly low. I got 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, 2 links of sausage, toast, and home fries--equating to two plates of food--for less than $17. The home fries were cooked and added the extra bit of fullness, I needed to help me through the day. Sweet: the place is very family friendly. It small, so if you are trying to bring 8+ people it will be a bit tough unless you go outside of peak hours. It pretty perfect for groups of 6 or less. On most days I am confident that I would be providing a five star review but being that we went there on one of the hottest days of the year and it barely seemed air conditioned, in good faith I can't give five stars. The waitresses and owner were all attentive and friendly and you could tell they were doing the best to cool the restaurant with fans, but the cooks were sweating over the hot griddle and we were both uncomfortably hot as we ate. I couldn't wait to finish just so that I could get back to my car's air conditioning. I am looking forward to going back on a cooler day and hope to update my review. The omelette options were awesome. I ordered the big rick, which came with sausage and sharp provolone. It was served with toast and home fries. My friend ordered the big farm, which came with eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. Another friend got the avocado toast, which came with two slices of toast and was topped with arugula. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes. It was amazing. The food was so fresh and delicious. The omelette was cooked very well. The portion was pretty big. I cleaned my plate but I was very full. Cash only (which is ridiculous in 2019), not told checks needed split at time of ordering, and woman at register (short blond hair) very rudely refused to split at the register, since"it's too much work for me", despite our friendly waitress breaking out the checks on the receipt. The building is nicely decorated; the family did a great job renovating it. As for food - get the grilled cinnabon with butter. It's delicious. I like mine a little more on the well done side so everything is a melted goodness. Any of the omelettes are huge and delicious. The pancakes are great too.
