I stopped by Uncle Bill's Pancake House for breakfast last Friday morning, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! I'd previously eaten at the Cape May location and had such a great experience that I knew I had to try the Wildwood restaurant too. One thing Uncle Bill's definitely doesn't do is skimp on portions. The amount of food they give you is incredible! My breakfast was easily enough for two people. I actually ended up taking half of it back to the motel for my husband because I just couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly, everything was fresh and piping hot, and the pancakes were absolutely delicious. Between the generous portions, fast service, and great quality, it's easy to see why this place is so popular. Be prepared for a wait in the summer! We visited off-season and later in the morning (11:30 AM). We had no issue with outdoor seating on a gorgeous Sunday. Uncle Bill's offers standard breakfast fare with enough pancake and French toast varieties to have your head spinning. I went with the peach pancakes (served with whipped cream). I didn't go wrong here! My love had the buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon. Our friends split an everything bagel with an over-easy egg and sausage. Everything came out quickly and piping hot. They have more than one location and for me, so far, all have been outstanding. Everything is made fresh, the servers are very friendly, and no matter how crowded they are the food is served quickly. Pancakes were a 4/10. Almost tasted grainy like it was box mix. Kinda sad for a pancake house because Id personally rather the box mix where you just add water. This was a traditional family spot that served mostly usual breakfast items along with some lunch items too. There was outdoor seating available and only cash was to be used I believe. The service was very friendly, and the food came out in a timely manner. I split the chocolate chip pancakes and Denver omelet as well as having a cup of fruit. The pancakes were alright. There were three regular sized ones to an order. They were a little dry, but the butter and chocolate chips helped with that. There was a fair amount of chocolate chips present too. The Denver omelet was neatly constructed and had a good amount of filing. The pieces of ham and vegetables were diced extremely small, which was a pleasant surprise. I always get nervous that not enough cheese will be used in omelets, but that was not the case here. The cup of fruit had honeydew, pineapple, and cantaloupe. Got seated and waited for 20 minutes. Myself Pregnant wife and 8 month old. Waiter didn't even bother to serve. Walked right passed us multiple times serving the table behind us and next to us. We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning with a party of seven people. They do not seat you until your whole party is there which is important to know. The place is busy but they do a good job of moving people in and out quickly. My husband has the lemonade, which I believe was homemade and it was delicious. I can't remember the last time we had pancakes, has to be years. The pancakes were really good. They were light and tasty. They put butter on each plate, which was the perfect amount. They also then give you syrup for the table. I had the corn pancakes, which I thought were a little different but I love corn. They were not sweet they tasted like a big corn soufflé muffin. I would definitely get them again. We got a side of bacon. I was a little disappointed to see that there were only three pieces in a side of bacon that was $4.75 but they were very tasty. There are a few parking lots for the place there's two before and then more after so you have to look to see, but you definitely should be able to get parking which is included and you don't have to pay. read more
