I happened to find Valley of the Sun Towing on Yelp and gave them a call. From the moment I spoke with Jose, I felt at ease. He was kind, professional, and very communicative throughout the entire process. When he arrived (right on time), the weather suddenly turned -- it started pouring rain just as he got the van loaded. Knowing how much the van meant to us, Jose took it upon himself to pull over under an overpass to let the heavy rain pass before continuing. One of the van's windows doesn't roll up all the way, and he made sure no water got inside. That extra care and attention meant so much. The van arrived safely at the mechanic, and I can't thank Jose enough for treating it with the same respect and care as if it were his own. I purchased a complete vehicle as a parts car in which the seller stated it ran but with occasional…read moretransmission issues. Got the car but battery was beyond dead, more dead than what my little lithium battery powered jump starter could handle. Figured I'd call AAA since I've got the Premier plan so this tow home would be covered. Truck driver arrived 30 min later, and NOPE, apparently this is a "courtesy" tow as opposed to an "emergency" tow, which would NOT be covered since the car was not currently registered or insured. Apparently AAA doesn't do those anymore. I then called a towing company I recall seeing in one of the Facebook groups I'm in, and I'm quoted $190 for a 12 mile tow, but it'll be at least a 3 hour wait. Owner/dispatcher said he'd find out where his drivers are and will let me know. 30 minutes later and I still haven't heard back, and the wife was starting to get hangry. I finally find out that the driver was way out by Tucson and they wouldn't be able to come until 10:30 pm which was 7 hours later. Unfortunately, one of the front windows was open and with a dead battery I couldn't close it, and I just couldn't trust it left open as is until night time. While we were waiting to hear back on the location of the driver my wife found the Tow Guys on Yelp and was already in the middle of messaging Tony, who was very responsive and helpful. After finding out the first company wasn't going to work, my wife got a quote from Tony which was less than half what we were quoted from the first company. Not only that, as soon as we said ok Tony said the driver (Thomas) was en route. We hurried back from where we were about to grab something to eat 10 minutes away and minutes after we get back, Thomas arrives. I've had to get a few vehicles towed in my time (it's what you get when you have a bunch of old finicky German cars) and Thomas is the coolest tow truck driver I've ever met. Like, so cool we could be friends. He brings out this beast of a jump starter to try to jump start it so he could better line up the car. It starts, but the transmission issue pops up and is unable to be put into drive nor neutral. Thomas works his magic and is able to get it into neutral after a few minutes. A quick drive home and he's able to put it exactly where I need it to go. What started as a not so pleasant day turned out to be a great one. Easy and painless, as opposed to most times when you need a tow. I'm so glad the first company wasn't able to do the job so we were able to meet Thomas and we now have a "tow guy" we can trust, and everyone needs a tow guy they can trust! 10/10 would not hesitate to use them again, in fact I am planning on having them assist with future projects already ;)

When you call you are immediately put on hold, every time. Not only that, you will be asked your location and told that it will be quick. FALSE. After giving "Speedy's" Towing the name of the company my car broke down in front of, the cross streets, the closest popular stores the tower still had no clue where I was located and got mad at me when he asked if I was north of him and told him I wasn't from the area and was not sure. He continued to say down the road every 15 minutes until I waited an hour before he showed up. He had me put the car in neutral, try to figure out the angle the car needed to be in for it to get pulled onto the ramp. He towed the car less than 2 miles, if the street was not so busy, I would have gotten help pushing the car if I would have known he would over charge me. I would not recommend this company to my enemies.
