I joined Fit 2 the Core a little over 2 years ago and I haven't regretted one day! This past year proved to me the decision I made to join this gym was the right one. I injured my back April 2018 and I couldn't work out for about 6 months. After months of healing (and weight gain) I finally decided that it was time to go back (with my doctors blessing of course) but ... I was scared. I didn't want to aggravate my back again because I didn't like not being able to workout and being in pain. I went back to Fit in January 2019 and sat with Camille to have a one on one conversation about coming back to the gym and what concerns I had. I told her of my fears and that I was worried about working out with all the weight back on (30lbs) and how it was going to impact my back. I was worried about hurting myself again and that was the last thing I wanted to do - there was a new trainer at the gym and one of the existing members had become a trainer so for me it was all new as well which was also scary. But Camille was great! She reassured me that she would not let me re-injure my back - we would have me do two one on one person training sessions a week and two small group classes so I would feel more comfortable with less people in the class. Camille and I made a pact that she was dedicated to my success and I had to be dedicated to getting to the gym for all my classes and PT sessions. Camille cares about her members and numerous times during our conversation she said she was not going to let me get hurt. If I listened to my trainers and followed what they showed me along with watched my form - I would be ok. And 8 months after coming back - I am better than ok! My back feels great and my trainers are awesome! I can honestly say I have no fear of re-injuring back because I work as a team with my trainers. I listen and pay attention to what my trainers are saying and showing me and they watch what I am doing and stop me if things don't look right. I appreciate Camille, Lisa and Diane. I appreciate the time, effort and care they put into every workout. And I appreciate their friendship and motivation! I can honestly say that I am at the lowest weight I have been at in years and the strongest as well! I am so happy that I didn't let the fear keep me away forever - I am glad I came back to my gym family because that's what I consider Fit 2 the Core ... family . read more

I love the boutique feel of this fitness/nutrition center. Camille looks at the whole person with respect to fitness and weight goals. The sense of community and commitment of both members and staff makes Fit 2 the Core a happy place to be. Nobody loves dieting and exercise but Fit 2 the Core manages to put a great twist on meeting your goals in a group of like minded ladies who are invested in themselves and others. It is not just the drudgery of diet and exercise. The Little Black Dress challenge included a social side with an evening of dress shopping and a ladies night out to celebrate our success. Anyone reading this wants to know, so how did it work? The short answer, great. I cannot diet on my own, not because of a lack of commitment or discipline but simply put, I need hand holding and lots of guidance on how to get rid weight while being menopausal. Camille and Dawn can keep you off the emotional ledge for those weeks the scale stubbornly ignores your hard work. My weight loss to date in week five of a six week program is 10lbs. I feel much better and my energy is back. Ive lost enough inches to fit into clothes that were too tight and now are somewhat loose. The program works, but better than that you get to work out with like minded ladies who check their egos at the door. Fit 2 the Core is the best gym I have ever been a member of. Joining Fit2theCore was the best decision I made after having my baby. I felt stuck. I tried exercising on my own, but I didn't see much of a difference in my weight and I didn't feel myself. The extra "baby" weight needed to come off. I inquired about a fitness challenge they were having at the gym and it literally changed my life. I joined this 6 week challenge and I lost just about 20 pounds!! I wasn't at the gym everyday either, I worked out about 4 times a week and followed the meal plan Camille prepared for us (and yes I had cheat meals!!). I found that I needed to eat healthier and more often. Learning how to eat was my key to success and attending the training sessions gave me energy and muscle. The trainers are fantastic and the accountability the gym provides really helped me to reach my goals. Whether or not you need to lose weight or gain weight, there are options for you. The trainers can personalize any workout for you so you can get the most out of each training session. The women you train with are all so nice and friendly. If you have been thinking that you need to take better care of yourself by exercising and eating better, but are not sure how or where to begin, I highly recommend signing up for a challenge at Fit 2 The Core Nutrition Works on Oaklawn Ave in Cranston, RI. I did just that about 2 months ago, after not exercising for many years. Not only did I learn targeted exercises to strengthen, tone, and lose weight, but I also learned the importance of combining proper nutrition with an exercise plan to achieve desired results. Meal plans, shopping lists, and recipes are all provided, which makes it much easier to stay focused. Classes are small, allowing individual attention to be given, and the studio is beautifully decorated and pristinely clean. The owner, Camille, her staff, and the studio's clientele are all extremely supportive, and are available to help you through any set-backs or struggles. Being part of their wonderful community has encouraged me to continue with this lifestyle change! So glad I completed this challenge! read more

Before I started going to Fit 2 the Core I really didn't have any wants to exercise and had no motivation. Now if I can't go to the gym I feel like I'm missing something. Camille and Dawn are great motivators. I have shoulder and knee pain and Dawn is always able to modify the workouts so that I am able to work the same muscles as if I were doing the other exercise. Since I started this program I am feeling much better. More energy and more motivation. Cravings for not so healthy foods are mostly gone. I find myself craving fruit. My go to drink used to be soda but now when I am thirsty my first thought it to grab some ice cold water. Camille and Dawn have taught me so much about nutrition and making healthy choices. I love the one on one personal service that I get there. I joined Fit 2 the Core/NutrionWorks RI about a month and a half before the winter holiday season. I have to say it is one of the best decisions I have made! I have learned a lot about nutrition and how to exercise effectively. All of the trainers are outstanding and ensure each individual person in the class understand what the movements are and correct as needed. I also have 1:1 training sessions which are very helpful in getting me to a point where I can keep up with the class. My trainer, Kate, is my cheerleader and I am so thankful for her. My fellow classmates are also very supportive and encouraging. The challenges are SO fun!! New Year/New You was an opportunity to hit the "reset" button and re-evaluate goals going forward. I found Fit 2 the Core while searching online for a personal trainer. They have personal trainers, small classes and team classes. I was never a class person when it came to working out but ... I love this place!! The trainers are amazing and no matter what your fitness level, they make you feel comfortable and help you reach your goals. If you are having trouble performing an exercise, they are always willing to modify it - they do not want you to fail and I love that! The people who go to this gym are so friendly and encouraging of one another! Fit 2 the Core NutritionWorks is an amazing place! Camille, Dawn and Karina inspire you and motivate you to be your best self. After having two kids I wanted to get back to my original weight and feel healthier but I lacked the motivation and confidence in myself to achieve this goal. I joined one of their 6 week challenges where they show you how to achieve a healthy lifestyle by planning delicious and nutritious meals and pairing this with cardio and team workouts. This place is AMAZING! It's so much more than a gym- A group of dedicated and supportive WOMEN HELPING WOMEN meet their goals for better health and food and exercise habits. I came in 2 months ago after trying every diet and exercise plan in the book when menopause hit me like a ton of bricks and left my metabolism stagnant not to mention a 10 pound weight gain overnight. With Camille and Lauren and Dawn's guidance and support (and laughter!) in just 2 months I've lost that 10 pounds, found something resembling my arms again, and feel lighter and happier and so much healthier! I not only lost weight I learned how to eat healthy! The classes were fun and never the same! I was pleasantly surprised by all the support given. it was nice to feel that they all cared how I was doing. The 6 weeks flew by!! I did the work and it was a genuinely rewarding experience. I want to thank the instructors who have lots of patience, the regular members who help you feel you aren't alone and the newbies like myself who shared this journey with me. Hi my name is Cheryl, I want to tell you about this fantastic gym I've been going to. Fit 2 Core is an awesome place. I've only been going for four weeks now and I've dropped weight , lowered my cholesterol and blood pressure. These women are amazing they teach you to eat healthy and show you great exercises to shape the body you want. They give you the extra push you need to get the best results. I started going to fit 2 core 3 weeks ago. I have tried other health alternatives such as other gyms,weight watchers and 21 day fix to name a few. Don't get me wrong these are also good health alternatives but I needed more guidance and discipline, and I have gotten that with fit 2 core. Camille and Dawn are awesome kick-ass trainers that only want the best for you. I have begun eating clean and healthier then I thought that I ever would and I feel GREAT!!! I joined FTC in the summer of 2020, which was a challenging time due to COVID 19. From the moment I spoke to Camille I was excited about the journey I was about to take on. For a long time I was focused on maintaining my weight by eating pre packaged low calorie foods. I knew I needed to exercise. I needed to get off the pre packaged foods and start to love exercising again. I am on my fitness journey and I am continuing strong. Just finished a great New Year New You challenge at the wonderful gym. I feel great with the help of our wonderful trainers the meal plan was delicious so good I put my family on the plan and my son lost 11 pounds in 4 weeks never felt deprived. I have belonged to this gym for a little over a year now, and it is my happy place! I can honestly say I LOVE working out here. I'm not in tip top shape but feel like it's actually possible at Fit 2 the Core.
