About 30 hours or so. They never told me that it was auto renewing, and after I finished with my personal training, my trainer asked me if I was planning to re-enroll. I said no, I was not planning to re-enroll. Next thing I know, I am the proud owner of like 120 hours of personal training! And I can't return them, or get any money back. Also, the customer service here really sucks. One morning I showed up to work out on a Saturday, the gym is supposed to open at six, I got here at about 10 till. The parking lot starting to fill up with people, and at 6:05 the gym still wasn't open yet! 6:10, 6:20, at 6:30 I finally left with a bunch of other people. So much for waking up early on Saturday to work out! Also, I'm going to post a picture of a sign that has literally been on the men's restroom for a month. A month! How long does it take to hire a plumber and get them out here to fix the toilet? Evidently it's just easier to secretly charge people for personal training then it is to use that money to actually take care of the clients. It's kind of a small gym, lots of the machines breakdown., It's just kind of a place that you go only if it's close to your house. Update!! Here's a picture of the other men's restroom. Notice there's no toilet paper? Well, instead of replacing it, TruFit has, in its most epic display of customer service, put out tissue boxes instead! Classy, guys.

What I didn't enjoy was not knowing what workout we would be doing; for example, upper, lower, core, etc., and the redundancy of the workouts. I also didn't like that the trainer didn't provide options for people with injuries. I told her many times, I have a bad knee. Nonetheless, no options were offered. It would be helpful if the trainer demonstrated all movement and not assume you know it. I would ask questions, but she would seem annoyed so I stopped asking.

What once was an amazing, inspiring atmosphere whose leadership truly wanted to see people improve themselves jas become just another average run of the mill fitness establishment that's no better than the other fitness chains. It's no longer the advertised family friendly environment it once was. They work hard to maintain the facade of a great gym that is better than the rest when in reality they fall short in comparison. This gym has really become run down due to lack of maintenance. The bullet hole in the front window that's been there for a year or more is one example. The broken mirror in the multipurpose room is another. It's been broken for years at this point. They have pictures of pro athletes hung on the wall for all to see, many who used to support this gym. The multitude of pro athletes that once supported this gym has dwindled to just a few over the last year and now you don't see them in this gym much at all. The music is often inappropriate and vulgar and is played at levels that make it difficult to hear anyone you might be talking to (trainer, friend, staff, etc) during the weekdays, especially in the afternoons. The volume tends to be ok in the mornings and weekends though and i think that is because its different staff running the gym at those times. Should you bring the music volume up to gym ownership the response you get is inappropriate, acusatory, and unprofessional. On occasion, the facility smells of sewage when you walk in the door. It's been occurring for years but remains an issue to this day Equipment is often in need of maintenance that seems to take longer than other gyms to address (inoperable cardio equipment, torn up pleather seating or pulleys on weight machines, etc). The equipment is older and perhaps this is to be expected for an establishment with older equipment, I don't know. It does get fixed eventually though. The 3 knee pads available are compressed to the point of being ineffective and the 2 mats they have are torn and ripped. They have needed replacement for well over 6 months at this point.

But today this blonde girl who was working the front desk would not let me do a day pass. I got there at 7:00 she argued that I couldn't stay there after eight. This never was an issue before and I also go to other Powerhouse gyms like the Las Vegas one and never had an issue. So disappointed that I won't be able to workout here when I'm on the road. Thankfully I was able to go to armbrust pro gym and had no issue there. I hope they revise their travel policy.

I love this gym but everything is always broken... Today I…read moregot on my first treadmill and it was unplugged, easy fix? Sure. Before plugging it in I move to another and the screen wasn't working. Okay moving on through my workout 1st stationary bike, screen broken. Moved to gym floor & started the circuit machines - only 1 of 6 not working today. Better than usual I suppose. Workout completed One of my favorite things about this gym is the recover area, so I went to do the leg compression. 1st set (size small) air leak in zone 1. Next set (size small) air leak zone 1. Sitting in 3rd chair down, decide I'll just stick with this set and skip zone one but the chair is broken and won't lean back at all. Decide if I am going to switch chairs at this point I should grab another set but then I was informed the other two sets left out all had leaks too. So I do my 10 minutes with leaks and sitting up straight. Swing by the front desk because I've been a member for over a year and this is pretty much a regular visit here. Once during a GTX class the front plate of the treadmill just fell off while the girl next to me was on it. All we could do was laugh Hate to complain but decide it's time to say something although I've heard from other members it won't change anything... I give it a shot. I report all the items while my husband orders us two protein shakes (about $21) and she said I can file a concern on the app or she can relay the message Monday. I have no intention of figuring out how to report each thing on the app, I honestly don't care that much because we can always switch gyms but I thought I'd give a heads up to anyone considering joining. I do love lots of things about this gym but it's not seeming to be worth the price tag currently. Some pros include the private sauna's in each bathroom and their additional coed saunas by the pool. The pool area in general is awesome, the kids love the slide and the snack bar (not outrageous but priced like you are at a beach club) They do have an adequate amount of equipment, so even with a bunch of broken things I can usually find enough other things to do to complete my workout. Large parking lot and great location.

They have teachers that have been with the club since I started, very low turnover of teachers, which I love. Obviously if I have been with them for going on 6 years now, they have to be good or I would find somewhere else to go. (Isn't 24/7, is small, doesn't have similar equipment, doesn't have a hot tub, doesn't have a sauna, doesn't have massage bed/chair) We were told essentially too bad, we were provided a gym 1 mile away "of greater value". (Who is the greater value deemed by?) I work rotating shift work & the 24/7 accessibility was the main reason I signed up for this gym. Apparently the company did the same shady thing in FOCO with the location there. Shame, was really excited and the 4 or 5 times we went I had some good workouts. Hoping they at the very least remove the bi-annual gym enhancement fee they are holding us to. Ya know... considering there is no gym to enhance... Avoiding zone athletic in the future for sure and letting anyone I know looking for a gym to look elsewhere. If they correct this shady business practice I will amend this review, but this is so dishonest and crooked to have done this.
