At the end of the 3rd class, I talked to the owner/teacher, Joey Bratton - he gave me tips which helped me to continue.

Transformative Training Program with Coach Eric Trust the…read moreprocess that Coach Eric guides you on and you will be amazed with the results. For the first time in my life, I've found a strength training program that is customized to my body and my needs. I went into the program with concrete physical goals - reducing pain in my shoulder as well as starting to learn how to properly lift heavier weights. Now, six months in, not only have a reached my goals, but I've exceed them. My shoulder pain is gone, and is structurally improved and strengthen so that I am confident about using my shoulder without fear of aggravation. I went from barely being able to lift a 45 lb barbell to most recently a 115 lb deadlift - and I believe that's just the beginning! Additionally, I'm better able to do daily tasks better such as hiking, swimming and gardening. I travel often for work, and Coach Eric was very flexible in scheduling and also creating a program that worked for me while I was gone - and as an added bonus - improving my physical well-being so that I did not have pain as a result of travel. As a person who has received training in leadership coaching, in my opinion Coach Eric is much more than a fitness coach. His style and approach to partnering with you to break through limiting beliefs, patterns and behaviors is powerful. What I've learned about myself through working with him has been priceless. **Would I recommend?** Absolutely, without hesitation. Don't be intimidated by the structure of the program or the classes - it is not what you will be used to, and that is actually a really good thing. Invest in yourself and you'll be grateful you did.

Even though I enjoy exercise, it felt like a full-time job to figure out how to stay fit and prevent injury as I age. I have practiced many different fitness modalities (crossfit, fitness clubs, pilates, yoga). This is the first one that has felt simple, clear, and effective. I experienced results at FiF immediately--in my mood, my confidence, and my strength. I have retained excellent mobility without all the tricks and recipes and overthinking. Pain that I had in my right hip and right foot has disappeared. I have osteopenia but my bone density has not declined; I fully expect it to increase in the next couple of years as I solidify my practice at FIF. Eric helped me to get clear on my fitness goals and the process to get there. I want to be able to camp and hike with my family for decades to come, I want to continue my acro yoga practice and remain injury-free; I want to garden and care for my land into my 80s and beyond (I'm 58 now.) As with most people, my schedule is quite full (full-time job, ailing mother, children, land to steward); I am thrilled to know I can accomplish my goals with a mere three hours a week training. I had always thought I needed to be at it hours a day most days a week. Actually, so many of the things I used to believe about fitness I have (thankfully) learned are not true. I can honestly say that my time with Form is Function has been life-changing in the best way and I give them my highest recommendation.

I've made incredible progress thanks to the support of the coaches -- they truly care and are always there to help you improve. I've been going here for almost a year, and I can honestly say it has transformed not only my body, but also my mindset and confidence. Over the past year, I've become stronger, healthier, and more confident. The gym is fully committed to its athletes, and it shows. The community is amazing. I felt welcomed from day one -- everyone is friendly, supportive, and genuinely wants to see each other succeed. The culture is what truly makes this place special. If you're looking for a great gym, this is it.

High quality coaches (both bad-ass fellas and ladies) both in fitness competency and heart, that are genuinely invested in each athletes growth (as well as their own and each other's). These workouts are both the most difficult and the most rewarding I've ever experienced. I'm turning the corner to a consistent workout commitment of a year and a half. What I can report it is, you get out of these work-outs what you put in. Consistency and embodiment have been the keys to having a successful and enriching experience with zero injuries incurred. I have been fortunate to engage in both the group work-outs and individual training sessions; both are highly productive and affordable. The community is lush - supportive, playful and welcoming. I am deeply grateful to be a part of this community.

Red flags!! Red flags!! Red flags!! "After a change of management"…read more My health professionals recommended I join a fitness program to overcome my PTSD, so my husband and I /working professionals/ 35+ years of age started this gym about 6 months back. I've noticed, that when others got in late for a session, they didn't join the class and worked out on their own, so the day I got in late I thought I could do the same and hurried in. I was minding my own business until I asked Cam (the trainer) a question.. and - that was it! He told me, you got in 30 min late so I won't help you which was understandable so I walked away to my corner, because I didn't want to disturb the class either. But then I saw him complaining about me to the Gym Owner "Susan" who then came up FURIOUSLY towards me and started YELLING, in the middle of the gym while the class was in progress - 'that I can't be walking in 30 min late and ask Cam (the trainer) questions ever again'.. and so on.. she went on schooling me for next 10 min and questioned me about things like - "where is my husband", why do I owe her any explanations about my personal life again? Did she want a confirmation that I was singled out so she could berate me further? I was put under so much stress and pressure by watching her monitor me so I couldn't put up the equipment right and there she started to insult me again- "You don't even know this much, you have been coming to the gym for so long you should know at least this by now... And so making further such personal attacks" No one treats their clients this way after I had already apologized to her and had requested that I can do it on my own, so please let me be. I'm still taken aback by this experience and this incident has taken a few days to process, for me to put it together, so I can share my experience with you, for you to know actually what happened with me. There is no place where one should be schooled like a child and with no dignity, especially if you are in the health industry. It's so disappointing to see an elderly woman over 60 years of age, shouldn't you be the one encouraging and not putting down a woman client? I'm confused, shouldn't you be the one acting a bit more professional being the owner? Couldn't you have taken me to the lobby to discuss this rather than create a big drama in the middle of a class and insult me? But I also learned by digging in deeper that this is a new management since Covid so the story kind of makes sense! She has created problems for us in the past about other issues as well - like before joining, she said dogs are welcome, but then later I was told by her to get special permissions from the trainer each time I want to bring my dog in the gym, and this is a SERVICE DOG for my PTSD we are talking about. Why are the clients here not treated with basic equality and basic dignity? She never tried to care or ask why I needed a dog to bring with me, but created problems so I had to avoid bringing my dog. The lady has to deal with her power trip issues and get educated about the basic mannerisms of being a gym owner. Hope, someday she'll know better and learn to maintain her cool! NO ONE is supposed to be treated this way, her actions were DEMEANING and VICIOUS towards me. I would encourage everyone who is facing this behavior to please speak up, stand up, and educate, and don't entertain this nonsense. My husband and I are people of color, and are proud to have been graduated from the Ivy League universities of Cornell and Yale respectively, and run several businesses and own properties around the world, and we have worked hard to achieve our dreams, especially in another country. I feel, the lady not acknowledging and being disrespectful towards us just shows her lack of exposure, experience, and immaturity. I'd not recommend this gym to anyone, especially to People Of Color, who are doing well for themselves, by working hard, away from their homes... I know their struggles and endeavors to thrive against all odds, do not allow discrimination, WATCH OUT for these ones!!!

I've been loving coming here! I love the community, the coaches, and the workouts are exactly what…read moreI was looking for.
