I travel for work and go to lots of anytime fitness. This has to be the worst one I've been to. Most machines out of service I was wanting to use. I've easily been to 50 different anytime fitness and this would be rated at the bottom. I will look for hotel near another anytime next time I work out here. read more

These people are nothing but crooks. My daughter was a member and called and canceled her membership 2 years ago. Now they have sent her to collections for membership dues they claim she owes. My husband has been trying to cancel his membership for months. He has called, emailed and gone in to the gym. They have now sent him to collections saying ge owes membership dues. They refuse to cancel the memberships saying its all on some billing company and refuse to do anything. Do not sign up here. You wont ever be able to stop your membership. read more

I love my gym! The Grass Valley location is very clean, fully stocked with everything I want for my workouts & stretching. and the bathrooms are always nice and tidy - and never too crowded. The staff is kind and helpful, and they actually listened whenever I made suggestions or requests. The owner got me a great deal that I couldn't turn down, and I'm so glad that I signed up! Absolute disappointment -- especially from Doug at Anytime Fitness Grass Valley I've been to plenty of gyms, but this place takes the cake for poor communication and hidden fees. Doug completely failed to mention there was a $99 enrollment fee, which is ridiculous considering that the first time I signed up, the fee was one dollar. You'd think a returning member might get at least a heads-up or a little appreciation for their loyalty, but apparently not. Mikey wasn't much help either -- the whole experience just felt disorganized and dismissive. It's like they care more about getting your credit card info than actually treating people fairly or explaining what they're signing up for. If you're thinking about joining Anytime Fitness Grass Valley, double-check everything before you sign anything. Transparency clearly isn't their strong suit. read more

horrible f-ing service! i cancelled my account months ago and they keep taking money out of my account. they are a f-ing scam artist and i had to cancel my membership because they kept letting homeless people in the club to shower when i was in the the women's side. read more

I've restarted my membership after taking a summer break. During that time, the gym began functioning under new management. What an improvement. The facility is better organized and much cleaner. read more

Don't ever go here. They say you can cancel no problem if something comes up. I've been a member almost two years and now Im laid off and I've called them, they say they can't cancel me so I have to send an email, which I did. Nothing. Keep getting phone calls from an auto dial saying I'm behind, so I email again, and call the owner, they say they can't do anything about billing. WHAT?! Then I get collection calls and texts, they are sending it over to collections now 6 months after I tried multiple ways to cancel. Don't ever, ever go here. read more

Visited Nevada City for few days and needed a place to workout. Found Anytime Fitness on Yelp and decided to check them out. Upon arriving I met Tony and he was very accommodating. I explained I was visiting and just needed a place to workout. I was able to get in a couple days in and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. I visited the gym in the morning and all machines/ weights were available. Very different than what I'm accustom to back home. No need to wait around for a machine or weights! If I lived around the area I'd definitely consider joining this gym. Friendly staff, huge parking lot, and access to everything you need for any sort of workout routine. I've been to all the gyms in town. Anytime is kinda limited in equipment and it's a bit small too. Also id say it has the best staff members of all the local gyms, good prices, great guest policy and I love the location too very convenient. Tons of classes and 24 hour access with private shower. I love this place. As an introvert who can get kind of freaked out in public situations (like going to the gym) this gym is the best possible place for me. There's no competitive weirdness, no one upmanship, no one judging you in any way, ever. It's the most relaxed and at home I've ever been at a gym. The other cool thing about it is that the memberships allow you to attend any Anytime Fitness in the USA. As a result, I've gone to several while traveling and it's been great to have that option of still making it to the gym even if your hotel has a crappy one, or none at all. They also offer military, first responder, and medical/nursing discounts, which are super helpful and are the reason that I initially chose this gym to join. The equipment is perfectly maintained, the entire place is spotlessly clean, the bathrooms and showers are private. Just a really awesome gym experience. Highly recommended. read more

Anytime Fitness has gone downhill with new ownership. The gym is typically a mess: un-vacuumed, disorganized, poorly served. Staff seems disinterested, quite often busy with each other or their phones, seldom or never working on the gym or engaging members. You get what you pay for, I guess. read more
