Finally tried this place today and happy to say it was very good and healthy. I had the Cuban panini on sprout bread. Full of flavor!! It came with a side salad and a vinaigrette. I feel comfortably full. Only wish they had one on the east side of madison. My daughter and husband had salads which looked amazing and they said tasted delicious. My daughter loved what she got here - I have to admit complete ignorance of poke. The place is very bright and clean, service was fast - we were the only ones there. Most of their business seems to be curbside right now. Her food looked beautiful- lots of fresh veggies and a nice serving of tuna (I seriously have no idea how I have a teen who prefers her fish raw). The Fit Fresh meal plan may turn out to be the best thing I've done for myself in 40 years. I've been on the plan for six months and have never had a bad experience with the food or staff. The plan makes healthy food delicious - a big help in weight loss. I'm down 25 pounds and have dramatically improved my health overall. I almost feel bad taking credit for the positive change when my docs congratulate me - it has just been that easy. The meal plan has been fantastic, but I've also purchased breakfasts and lunches off their restaurant menu. Currently doing the keto week long meal plan. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the food. I've done the cleanse twice and loved the food (last year). But meals are not worth the $260/week. I will say that there were a few meals that I did enjoy, the pumpkin bread for breakfast vs eggs was a nice treat and the stir-fry was good. But today's lunch of ice berg lettuce and a few crumbs of feta and chicken just isn't worth it to me. They also used to give you a menu with the meals telling you want it was and cooking instructions, that didn't happen with any of my pick ups. Sad this go round :( read more

I had been toying around with ordering a meal plan from Fit Fresh so I thought I'd stop in and eat a meal before I committed. The reviews seemed positive and I love finding healthy places to eat in Madison. I stopped in and ordered a pressed juice and the Award Winning Greek Turkey sliders which was served with a side of tabbouleh. Overall, I was so disappointed. My juice which was said to have a beet base with ginger tasted straight-up like celery juice, barely any beet taste and no hint of ginger anywhere. $7.15 for a cup of flat tasting celery juice. The hurts! The turkey sliders were not very good. The patties were thin, dry, bland and tasted a bit livery or old. The buns they were on were dry potato like buns. The scant smear of taziki sauce, small piece of tomato and tiny slice of cucumber on each slider barely helped mitigate the dry bun and turkey patty. I'm not sure where these won an award. They were just not good at all, unfortunately. The tabbouleh served on the side was decent. It was begging for more fresh ingredients, though. I counted two dices of tomato, 1 dice of cucumber and 3 specks of parsley immersed in a sea of bulgar wheat. The Turkey slider plate was $10.50. My overall impression is that this meal had a lot of cut corners cost-wise. The fresh ingredients (such as vegetables) were totally tiny and lacking. My celery juice spoke for itself in that regard as well. I really wished this would have been a good experience as I really wanted to try the meal plan but I will definitely need to look elsewhere. I had such high hopes for this place. I orderd an acai bowl, and it was a smoothie in a bowl, with a giant chunk of banana in the middle. No granola or fruit anywhere on top which is what I was expecting. My husband got a flatbread which was okay. Bread was a bit hard and stale, but he said the toppings were fine. What it is: Healthy and fresh made food, with something for everyone; smoothies, salads, sandwiches, pizza, cookies and bars. *I have my favorites - see below for my recommendations* Produce is purchased locally through their participation in a CSA; I like that they buy local, just like I do. The sauces and dressings, the salsas and greens...now I wish I had the curry chicken sandwich to munch on while sitting here writing this! Caesar dressing is out of this world, the mango salsa, also a favorite! What it is NOT: Prefabbed, shelf-stable, just add water and microwave meals that you see on TV. Have you ever eaten that stuff? (Those people are getting paid to say it tastes great and not like cardboard, I just know it!) It is also not the freshly frozen type that you order on the Internet and put it together yourself later, been there done that also. What you should know/remember: This is food with a conscience. While national chains are bragging about their low fat or low carb menu, they are still selling you a plate with more than a days worth of sodium or sugar. Fit Fresh is not going to be the right answer for everyone all the time, but it is certainly a great alternative. FF gives you a chance to see what a balanced breakfast, lunch or dinner looks like, so you can better teach yourself, when you want to stay in and cook. I had heard really good things about Fit Fresh Cuisine so I ordered a week of meals online. When I was processing my order it said due to the holiday I didn't make the deadline to get my food the following week. I feel like their communication is not professional. I contacted them via email to check on the status and didn't hear back. It turns out they had processed my food and I couldn't pick it up because it wasn't there anymore. I had to pay $190 for nothing. I didn't get any of the food. I would caution anyone from buying the meal plans from Fit Fresh Cuisine. Bad communication and customer service. read more

Their food is sooo good and you can even order a smoothie or a protein shake! The best part is that this stuff is like guilt free eating! I like that there is a gym in the same location as well. I ordered the impossible burger it's a vegetarian hamburger I would order this on a weekly basis last time I ordered it it came out And I took a nice big bite of it to my surprise it was 80% raw it was the most disgusting thing I ever ate it was biting into a raw hamburger I told the management and they said that they would cook it I still didn't feel like eating something like that after biting into it but I think I'd make the best of things they bring it back out to me and I lift up the barn to my surprise it's the same hamburger with a big bite mark on it. I have been using Fit Fresh Cuisine's meal plan for nearly a year and have been nothing but HAPPY! I am a full time teacher and a personal trainer so I am very busy but also extremely concerned with eating natural whole foods. The food is purchased locally and organic whenever possible and this too is very important to me. During the past year they also reduced their cost based on the cost of their locally purchased foods being reduced. Instead of making a greater profit for themselves they passed it onto their customers. Thank You!! I have been a vegetarian for nearly 30 years so I am familiar with healthy eating however, I had gotten into a rut of eating many of the same meals over and over. I began using the meal plan to take in more calories via a larger variety of healthy and whole foods. I am also very aware of maintaining the proper balance of macro nutrients (i.e., protein, complex carbs, fat) and the meal plans make this much easier on a daily basis. Because I've been using the meal plan for so long I am still amazed at the variety of foods each week. I have my favorites, but I would have to say I find none of them inedible. I sometimes supplement my meals with additional protein due to my high activity level. In doing so, I have purchased their smoothies and I HIGHLY recommend them! They are not only very tasty but they are satisfying, healthy and have a significant amount of protein. Each smoothie flavor has the specific macros posted so you know exactly how many grams of protein, carbs and fat each contains and can choose accordingly. I find this very valuable! I am not a member of Hybrid fitness but they have always treated me with respect as a valued customer. Those who work behind the counter are always friendly, positive and helpful. When I first began the meal plan my only glitch was that I was concerned with the styrofoam containers but I am very pleased they are moving towards using more recyclable food containers. Seriously, I have always said that if I won the lottery the first thing I would do is hire a healthy chef....with Fit Fresh Cuisine I didn't have to wait to win the lottery to make this happen!! read more

The food is great but they close at 7pm :( I love the food and I have really enjoyed the cleanses they offer. I wish their meal plans were more cost effective though since I feel like the food they give you doesn't really equate to the price per meal i'm paying for. I feel like you get a ton of salads. The biggest negative for me though is that they close at 7pm. They are located inside of Hybrid Fitness which is extremely convenient for me after my work out. Hybrid has a last bootcamp though that lasts until 7pm and unless you ditch out of bootcamp and run over there by 6:55pm they will help you. If you get there at 7pm to order since you've just been participating in a bootcamp for the last hour, well then you are out of luck, which is unfortunate. I love the food and would love the ability to take it home after my workout. I wish they would stay open until 7:15-7:30 so that the sometimes large groups of people in the bootcamps have an opportunity to also enjoy their food after a long workout read more

I regularly eat at the fruit fresh in The Princeton Club Fitchburg location. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. They have registered dietitians on site. The food is healthy, balanced, and very filling. I love the fact that a lot of it is from local businesses as well. I've enjoyed trying a variety of menu items including breakfast and lunch as well as the already prepared items from their fridge. Some years ago I successfully completed a supervised nutrition program through the University of Wisconsin health services, but as the years passed I found myself slipping into old habits and the weight coming back. I contacted the nutritionist from the UW program about how to get back on track, and she recommended Fit Fresh. It's been terrific. I've lost weight, but also I've found that on the days I cook and eat on my own that I'm now tracked into smaller portion sizes and better choices. The program is run by a professional nutritionist, but you don't have to be on a weight loss program in order to enjoy the food. The meals are varied, tasty, and good value. (I figured that last part out when I compared the price of the program meals to how much I had been spending eating out at middle-of-the-road restaurants several times a week, and how much food I bought but never got around to cooking myself since our children left home). The Fitchburg location is right next to Hybrid Fitness, which is extremely convenient for me because I do best when I stay active as well as eat right. I can come out, work out (with a trainer, in a class, or by myself) and then pick up my food to go. The staff are uniformly pleasant and professional. This place is a real find! I've recently completed my second Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner plan and after a short break, I will sign up for a third. My first meal plan was two years ago and I can not say enough about how beneficial it was in helping me understand my food triggers. I had no idea most of them even existed. And every day proper food selection and portioning was further ingrained in my mind. At first I thought the portions were very small, but I adjusted to them (and made sure I didn't cheat repeating to myself when I wanted more "this is all your body needs" "your dietitian planed this meal for you"), so that the meals during week 4 literally seemed too big. I lost 16 lbs in 4 weeks during the first plan and another 4 pounds on my own by following what I'd learned. This got me back to my college weight and lean enough. I took pictures of my meals and kept copies of the menu to refer back to in case I started reverting back to my old habits, which I did from time to time. I'll admit that I did gain back 5 pounds in the two years between plans which was easily knocked back during the second meal plan. I'll do the plan a third time, using a coupon for a price reduction, and will just enjoy the reinforcement of what I've learned. The registered dietitian provides a consulting session before getting started. We discussed my food preferences and needs. I have an inflammatory arthritis so she boosted my protein, taught me about foods to avoid, and we discussed other beneficials that I should add to my diet. During the meal consultation I said I didn't like raw onions and green peppers so she made sure they didn't show up in my meals. I could go on and on because it was truly one of the most extraordinary and insightful things I've done for myself. I encourage all of my friends to try it. WWatchers, NSystem, High Protein, Low fat, cabbage soup, etc. There is no comparison, Fit Fresh is Far superior. If I could rate them a 10, I would! Nutritionist developed and chef created food, cant be beat. This is the EASIEST, MOST EFFECTIVE, and most DELISH "diet" plan that I have ever encountered. I am so sad to see Fit Fresh has anything less than perfect reviews - the food is truly amazing! And so healthy and fresh. I pick up meals here occasionally for lunch and they are fantastic. I tried the cleanse once. I felt a little hungry during the week - but the food was absolutely delicious (just wished there was a little more :) ). I took advantage of "The Cleanse" that is offered from the Fit Fresh Cuisine location at Commerce Park Drive and it was amazing! All the meals were fresh and delicious packed with superfoods, fresh veggies and protein. I especially adored the breakfast smoothies! I have never dieted before so it was empowering to have a specific meal plan that made me cut out all my normal treats, challenging also! But all very well worth it. My energy level increased, my bloat significantly decreased and I felt great! I went in with my own food and was about to plug my phone into the outlet because it was at zero percent, to catch the bus because it was cold outside and I could not find the bus schedule or route outside. The owner looked at me and as she did I asked her about the bus route and she said she knows nothing about the bus route and did not offer to look it up on her computer. Then later said I did not mean to be rude but I know nothing about bus routes at all. I said okay its fine and proceeded to eat my chili and try to charge up my phone. The owner Sara got mad at me and told me I cannot eat my chilli in there and I asked her if I was a customer can I stay there and eat there. She said yes but you cannot eat your food there and she said something very rude and then I said well because you are rude to me I do not think I want to eat here. She said I have been working hard to keep my business running for a while and I will not allow people to bring their food in and I said well you seem very harsh because I had volunteered earlier to purchase food at your business and she was still being mean to me and I asked her for her name and she said Sara and with a mean look said what is yours and I said Nora and she aggressively shook my hand. She said go outside to the lobby and charge your phone but I am not a gym member and was going to her cafeteria. I ended up getting on the wrong bus and asked the driver about the bus route because she would not help me and nobody at the gym would have helped me either look for the bus route because I am not a member. read more

I have been eating at Fit Fresh Cuisine both on their meal plan and off the menu for over a year now. If you have not stopped here yet--you need to! Fit Fresh is one of the best gems in the Madison area; not only for people who like to eat healthfully but for anyone who loves delicious food!! There are so many things to appreciate here... The food is purchased locally whenever possible, from local farmers' CSA programs, which is near and dear to my own heart. This in and of itself was incredible to me, given the variety of meals I've had there. I did the meal plan over the last year for around seven months. I think I could count on one hand the number of times there were repeat meals. The menu is constantly evolving depending on the season and whatever new magic Matti and crew are dreaming up in the kitchen!! On that note, the food here is simply amazing--who knew that healthy food could be so delicious?!?! I've yet to have anything there that I don't like. It's impossible to nail down just one, as everything here is incredible, but to name a few favorites... The breakfast sandwiches are wonderful (my fav is the Texan), the smoothies are just the right after work out treat (not too heavy, guilt free! Try the Popeye!), the salads, with their home made dressings, are absolutely mouth watering (make sure to try the Caesar dressing), and the Greek sliders...well, they're simply to die for!! In doing the meal plan you are able to experience items that aren't generally on the regular menu, again all mouth-watering delicious. In fact, on pick up days I could hardly wait to get home to open up everything and see what I would be eating for the next couple days--like opening presents on Christmas morning!! :) The location is also another big plus--it's located right inside the gym--you can't go wrong with that. My food was always fresh and ready to pick up after working out--a huge bonus to not have to go home and worry about cooking, and even bigger--no grocery shopping!! The ease of having Fit Fresh right there made healthful eating a no-brainer. And, if I ever did have questions, the staff there of dieticians, chefs, and staff are incredibly knowledgeable--and super friendly, too!!
