The worst customer service. Membership is a scam. I had a membership and my credit card was compromised (new card was sent to me) and I hadn't been using my membership so I just figured no harm no foul and did not contact a fit and tan. Bad on me. Once I did called and said, just go ahead and cancel I haven't been in for months and months and months. They said oh well you have to pay everything that the card would have charged which was 12 spray tans. So I said fine cancel my membership and I will use the 12 and pay it up which was over $100. They said we can't do that. you can't use the 12 and have a cancelled the membership. So I said fine I will keep the membership, pay it up, and use of the tans. I went in today and my membership was canceled and 12 tans are gone. so I paid over $100 for one tan. This place is a scam. read more

Went yesterday and paid $62 for a spray tan. My roommate and I got the "same thing" and hers was $53. After spraying I realized I didn't get what I wanted. Asked for a respray and was denied because attendant was insistent it would show. They offered me a 25% discount on tanning products instead. It's now the next morning and my tan has not shown! I'm frustrated and feel like my money was spent on nothing especially since they did nothing to help fix it. read more

THE WORST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER DELT WITH!!!!! Had a membership for several months, but after experiencing poor customer service every time I went in, I decided to cancel. The process of cancelling my membership was ridiculous, took several days, and they would not take no for an answer. Finally after a 15 minute conversation with the district manager they cancelled it. Then a few months later, after losing my debit card, I get a text from Fit N Tan saying that my payment didn't go through and that I needed to fix it. Then I checked my bank statements and see that THEY HAD STILL BEEN CHARGING ME MONTHLY!!!! I responded back with a screenshot of my bank statement and saying that I had cancelled months ago, and they never responded. For 2 weeks straight I would call and ask to speak to someone, then they would say they would call me back and never did. The district managers dodged my calls and didn't give me a straight answer until I called the Better Business Bureau. Then suddenly they said my refund will be in my account in 7 days. The workers were very helpful and nice- i did get a versa tan and it seemed that the machine wasn't cleaned completely because the bottom of my feet turned black, also in the beginning the machine did not seem to work. I would definitely say tho to switch to versa spray tans because you receive a way more natural tan than a mystic would give you! read more

Do not sign a contract with these people. The contract is vague and poorly worded. Was told one thing in person but apparently under the cancelation clause it makes no mention of what actually happens. They tell you you can cancel but it has to be before 15 days to avoid next month charges. But they secretly don't tell you that you have to wait 30 days to make changes. Then if you dispute a charge they hit you with a $25 fee. What reputable company does that? Their equipment has exposed wiring which is dangerous. read more

Will never go back. Tanned for one week. Level 4 bed (1b ulb out) and there was an open hole with wires where the radio should be, level 5 bed (3 bulbs out) and cracked, level 3 bed (2bulbs out). A quick look around will reveal no one is taking care of this place. And today the girl at the front desk who appeared to have worn her pajamas to work today said that my lotion had glycol and there for could not be used... the lotion I had been using the last three times I had been to this exact salon. Also I did some searching and found that many of the lotions they sell also have glycol. I used to work at a tanning salon and I remember how hard they used to push us to sell lotions and hit goals. DO NOT sign up for a membership with this company. I had my membership for a few years.. put it on " hold" for $5 a month then when I finally went in to cancel it they told me I had to go back to my previous membership first and then I could cancel it. So... I got charged for that month $67 then I went back in again to cancel and was told by manager everything was cancelled and I would not get charged another penny.. 2 weeks later I get billed another $67 and in the 2 months time I went in once to tan... that is some EXPENSIVE tanning. When I called to inquire what happened I was told that I cancelled after the first day of the month and that was why I got charged for yet another month. Seriously it takes 2 visits and 3 phone calls to get your membership cancelled. Don't join because you will never get your money back. Unbelievable!!! read more

Very shady company. I don't recommend Ever !!! Bought 5 tans with credit i had stored up. Went on vacation . While i was gone they had charged me monthly fee $19.99 . Twice. 2nd time an additional 10. I was not asked, informed , nothing. Im still dealing with fraudulent charges from credit card company. I will never go back. I will go out of my way to make sure no else gets scammed by this shady operation . Avoid at all cost. read more

I bought an unlimited sauna package. I make an appointment every single time, well in advance. I have been here around 10 times; yet, every single time but once, I get to the Winghaven location, the sauna is not warmed up. After a hand full of times, I VERY politely spoke with the person working, expressing my frustration and concern and asked if there was a better way to schedule the sauna since the workers are consistently forgetting to turn it on and warm it up. She assured me she would bring it up in some kind of meeting. I have a very busy schedule, as do most people. So when I make a 30 min appointment and have to end up being there 45-1 hr for it to completely warm up, it is so incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. Nothing has changed since expressing my concern to the employee so I've emailed the address provided on the website and I'm leaving this review in hopes that someone will care enough to fix this. read more

Customer service is extremely poor. They tell you one thing, and charge/bill you for another. When you try to cancel or freeze your account they still bill you without notifying you. Absolutely ridiculous, especially considering I have been a customer for over 8 years. Will never recommend or refer anyone here again. read more

Beware when signing up for a membership they tell you a lower price and charge 8% tax which is never told to you when signing up. Then when you call to talk to them about the charges on your debit card the girl wants to talk over you and argue. Virginia does not have any customer service skills at all. read more

Unbelievably BAD! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...WILL RIP YOU OFF BLIND!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! I had 5 different accounts there and froze some and cancelled some for the summer. They STILL charged me!!! I wasn't expecting the charges so they overdrew my acct. That cost me an extra $70. Then when I called to get the charges removed they told me I had to tell them 2 weeks in advance or they still charge me for the next month! SUCH B.S.!! I told them I wanted a refund plus the bank fees...they refused because they claimed it was in the contract I signed when I first joined. Really? Fine print? Why should it take 2 weeks to cancel a tan account? It doesn't. This is BULL.
