If I could give zero stars I would. We recently moved from Atascadero to Sacramento. They have locations here so we were hoping to just switch our "home gym" to here. Of course no one could help us at this location or the natomas location. Anyway, so after getting the run around multiple times a girl at the natomas location stated everything is good and fixed. Then in the month of July we were charged twice for my boyfriends account. Of course neither location can help us again, and they claim that we are only being charged once on their end even though we showed them the proof. The manager Cody is awful, when I called to get things fixed he not only told me that I was wrong about being charged twice but that we have a balance of 14.99. Not even sure where that cake from since our membership is 9.99. After I tried to explain everything to him multiple times he started yelling at my over the phone calling my stupid and an idiot that I was lying and don't know how basic math works. We had to result is a stop payment, and filed a claim with the better business bureau. read more

I've been looking for a decent gym and so I was recommended this gym. It is decent. Looks like it used to be a grocery store and has a very open layout. They have a couple of TVs, a lot of treadmills, stepping machines, and all the basics. They have weights, some classes and massage chairs. Decent, but in order for you to clean equipment you have to walk across the room sometimes to paper towel dispensers, which I have seen people just walk away after working out because the cleaning solution isnt close at hand. Now for the reason for my low review: Employees are very unprofessional. They will give you the run around and claim they don't know anything. If you want good customer service and a trusted gym. This isn't the place for you. I asked to speak to the manager on duty, yet the "new girl" just continued to talk to me. When you sign up the employees are suppose to inform you of all the fees. They will not do this. They will also decide they want to be in your gym photo without your consent, then type in the wrong information for payment, leaving you to have to pay the extra hidden $5 fee for using a debit card and not having it be directly connected to your bank account because they don't know how to type it in correctly. Had them fix it twice and my payment method is still my card. Oh by the way there is a hidden yearly fee after you sign up. They claim they have it posted everywhere. They do not. When you call and ask about anything they will tell you "it is easier for you to just come in" even when you tell them it is an inconvenience. In short; I cannot comment about personal trainers and classes as my membership did not included these items. Cons: Horrible customer service Unprofessional Hidden fees Untrustworthy Employees do not know how to help you if you have an issue, they will give you the run around. Not always sanitary No AC just fans (gets very hot) Only two water fountains (no water bottle refill stations) No wifi Pros: Water Massage chairs Decent amount of basic equipment Large open layout Large parking lot / easy to find parking Clean lockers / decent size Women's locker room is large Water bottle vending machine Everyone leaves you alone This is based off of a three month membership. The staff and trainer that used to be a big part of what made this gym special are no longer here. For this reason, I canceled my membership. However, it was difficult. The original front desk agent couldn't figure out how to cancel it (odd...) and said the "new" manager would cancel it for me when she was in on Monday. It was never canceled and I was then charged for my membership because they didn't cancel it in time. I had to contact the manager to refund me. She then assured me it was refunded and canceled. Then the next month I got billed again, had to contact the manager for ANOTHER refund, took 2 weeks to get the refund (and I had to remind her I was WAITING for a refund) and then another week to get confirmation of cancellation. read more

MALIK THE MANAGER is a total FRAUD!!!! He scanned me out of 200$ Canadian for "online coaching" first of all I was told I would have support and somebody to hold me accountable LOL yeah right for $200 I got a crappy meal plan with foods I told him I didn't like before hand and a gym routine made for a body builder....clearly he just copied and pasted something he found online, it definitely WAS NOT catered to my needs! Not only did I have to wait 2 weeks for this crappy $200 online coaching but since then I have been emailing him with questions and he has been completely ignoring me!! He asked me to write a good review on here a couple of weeks ago before I had gotten my meal and training plan because he said "some crazy bitch" wrote a bad one....but now I see it was probably him!!! great place, maricar the HIIT trainer is amazing, Jacob at the front deck is awesome, they both are very help full, skilled and talented trainers. one bad thing about the gym is Cody the manager, not friendly, has no people skills, never greets you always on his phone when i walk in. they might want to think about there management shows before all the employees leave. all it takes is one person for everyone to quite. i would give 5 stars but the manager sucks read more

As a member of five different gyms, some in the central coast and some in Los Angeles, I am really happy to say fit republic is easily one lf the best out there, and the best value by far! The gym is always insanely clean! I am surprised at how everything is spotless and the locker rooms always feel super well maintained! The equipment is very high quality and in abundance! The staff is friendly and experienced, and the gym offers some nice amenities in addition to its heavy duty machines and workout equipment. All kinds of people would feel comfortable at this gym! Great for my exercising needs. Would definitely come back here for my health to be better. Also did I forget to mention that I am more flexible now due to this gym? The hubby and I joined a few weeks ago and so far it has been a great experience. Love being able to get on the Equipment without waiting. The staff is nice and willing to help. I joined Fit Republic a few weeks ago and just walking in the doors the first time it felt like home, like a club I wanted to be a part of. Clean facility, friendly staff and a great General Manager Malik who welcomed me like I was family! For a few months I did my own workouts at my pace but when Malik gave me the class schedule when checking in I decided to be brave and try it out. Now I love the classes. All the instructors are excellent and really work well the General Manger to make sure all the members get a great experience. Every time I take a class I know with confidence that I am going to have an amazing, knowledgeable and upbeat instructor who encourages us through the whole class training and guiding us. When you leave the class you can't help but be proud of your workout and feel like "Wow. What. A. Workout! " If you haven't taken the class I highly suggest it! Be prepared for a great workout and to be sore after the class! I am definitely a fan! So glad I joined Fit Republic. This is by far the best gym I have been too. It's very open and depending on the time of day you don't have to workout extremely close to people or have to wait for a machine. It's nice to be able to go in get your workout done and go on with the day instead of working around a machine waiting for one. I started taking the HIIT classes and Rae is by far the best coach i have had in a long time. She pushes you to better yourself without pushing you to far, has a great motivation music and you are never doing the same thing twice. I leave there feeling great from the class alone and would highly recommend it. The front desk staff are great employees and are always smiling and greet me when I walk in by name. I was always intimidated to go into some gyms or even start going to the gym again. But this has by far been the best gym experience I have had. This gym is like no other in town!! It's HUGE, full of top of the line brand new equipment, extremely reasonable prices and the most friendly staff! I always shop around when looking for a new gym and the manager of this gym took his time with me not making me feel pressured or rushed. I love the FIIT Nation Group Training classes at Fit Republic. Rae is a fantastic coach, she keep us motivated and energized without being annoying about it ;p She also understands the need to modify the workout if that's necessary for a person and is great about showing us proper body mechanics. I wasn't sure what to expect my first time. I am not super fit but I'd like to be more fit and I gotta start somewhere. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up with the class but I was very pleasantly surprised. Although it was and continues to be extreemly challenging, there is a spirit of camaraderie and I've never seen anyone be made to feel inferior because of their skill level. There is also a wide age span represented in class which is cool to see. We are all sweating our butts off together! The staff is also great about welcoming/allowing guests which is fantastic because that's how I discovered them in the first place. A friend talked me into coming and I am so glad I did. I can honestly say it's the most fun I've ever had working out! I love it. read more

A few months ago I would have given this gym a 1 rating! In fact, I actually left to join another gym because just like the review from Ryan S. this gym was a hot mess of drama and constantly changing personnel, & no management on site. However, I'd paid for a year in advance and didn't want to waste my money (since they wouldn't give me a refund) so after a month I decided to give it one more try and I'm very happy I did. Malik has provided much needed consistency, he's there every day and he truly seems committed to the members & the gym, something that was seriously missing. But the best thing about returning to the classes is their trainer Rae who is absolutely the best. She's funny, encouraging and the reason I'm now going to class 4 days a week and I'm finally seeing results!!!!! I've lost 4" and I credit that to Rae and her classes. Rae changed up the classes - more warm up, a challenging class, and longer cool down which includes stretching out the muscles we just worked. I love her emails about diet, nutrition & work out attitude etc. Before Rae arrived, I had been doing the classes approximately 2 days a week for 4 months and only saw minor results because I had to force myself to go. Now the classes are hard while being fun, and thanks to Rae I'm committed and actually look forward to class. Thank you Rae!!!!!!! You're awesome!!!!!!!!!!! read more
