I'm regards to Hanford, CA location. I usually don't post a lot of reviews but I have to agree with many of the reviews the equipment is very old to the point that some of the leather on some equipment is ripped and makes it hard to do your exercises. Not to mention they never lubricate the machines and they are rusty and some machines get a lot of friction making it hard to know if you are fighting the weight you put on or the sliding friction (ex. Back squat machine, seating calf raise, etc.). I used to go to planet fitness and although they don't have as much free weights as fit Republic most of their equipment is very new and lubricated and not rusty for sure. I know they have to make some money but come on at the very least repair the rips and lubricate the equipment. I joined in December 2020 at that time wasn't very crowded and now March 2021is overcrowded to the point that it's hard to get machines to do your workout. They have a seldom use training area it will be nice to put some machines there and allow members to train when classes are not happening that would allow more room to keep up with the crowd. At $19.99/month plus $39 yearly fee I definitely expected more. Plus they don't allow multi-membership accounts so no discounts at all. Will definitely consider going back to my old (newer) gym once that is open if they don't take care and maintain their equipment. Another thing is the no gym bag tule really sucks as I was able to carry all my equipment there and keep it neatly in my bag until I needed it. Now I have to carry a bunch of stuff in my hand which makes it more unsanitary and unsafe to have all on the floor. Funny thing is they say is due to COVID, safety and make it more sanitary which doesn't seem to be. My bag was very small by the way kind of like 16"x14" bad and they told me not to bring it in anymore. read more

This gym is perfect. They have plenty of cardio equipment as well as weight lifting equipment, so really everyone fits in here. On one side of the gym is the free weights, mirrors and other machines (which my husband uses and says is great). Right across the walkway is more of the abs/circuit training area- which I love. They have a group of machines all set up in a circle that each works a different body part. I love this side because I feel that I can do my thing without being in the way or feeling unconformable- which is always how I feel at other gyms that cater to the bro type only. They also have a fitness class room that looks nice but I haven't tried it. Also worth noting- the bathrooms are NICE. Very clean and new. The staff is also excellent. This place has turned into planet fitness just not as nice. There is always broken equipment, missing equipment and now they are strictly enforcing ridiculous rules. Either go to a real gym like Just Lift or a nicer fake gym like planet fitness. Terrible !!! No loyalty they are now fixing basic members from day one to upgrade to the premium which has no extras. I think this is irresponsible for the owner to do they just want more money. The more smart thing to do is keep the basic and keep strong sign ups but no they want less people to make up for they're mistake during COVID shutdown.. have some respect for your members CHRIS!!!! Fit Republic is a so so Gym. Reasonably priced but kind of getting to the run down stage. They have equipment missing. When asked about it, "oh yea, we've ordered replacements" but other members says that's not true. Some of the equipment just needs to be replaced, WORN OUT. The funnest (saddest) thing is they have an entire bank of tv's with different stations but after asking 3 different employees not one of them knows how a customer would access them...crazy. Please do not go here gym is dirty the bathrooms always smell & not to mention the manger is very rude & snobby. Also the hydro bed massage chairs are always broken. They treat there employees like shit as being a guest there a few times I felt the hostility in the place as I walked in just a very bad environment overall. This is by far the most unprofessional business I've ever had contact with. It's the only business I've ever heard of where you can't voice your complaints to anyone who can make a difference. I've had issues with management for months and months and have had no luck hearing back from corporate. After a heated discussion with Ms Becca(the office manager) this morning , she kicked me out of the facility and refused to give me any information on someone I could speak to. She added "good luck with that". The only reason I've kept my membership until now is because I love group training and I've had to travel to the Selma and Visalia location where I get what the Hanford location used to have. The Hanford location is now beyond unprofessional. I will prbe switching gyms after today. Glad to hear Planet Fitness is coming to town. We need more options. Update: 5/1/18 after the comment from "corporate" I dm my phone # to further discuss this matter. Haven't heard back from anyone yet. Not surprised. read more

This is EASILY the best gym in town! They only cost 10 bucks a month, cheaper than anywhere else, and the equipment is all really new and nice. I've been in there anywhere from 5am to 6pm, and it's never felt crowded or cramped. The staff has always been accommodating, and I haven't had a single poor expierence with any patron. If I could put ZERO stars I would. My husband and I canceled our memberships not too long ago due to the bathrooms being dirty, clogged toilets that don't get cleaned up on time, water on the counters because there is no papertowels, soap dispensers broken in both bathrooms, a number of things really. The staff I feel is very unfriendly and they don't greet you, I would like management would at least be different and set a good example, but current management Megan is just as unprofessional. I avoid asking her anything due to the fact that she has a shitty Attidude & I caught her twice making negative facial expressions when another member asked her a question. If she's doing that to people, she's doing it to me and my husband and many other members. We cancelled our gym memberships and I'm only writing this because this happened to my sister law also. I hope this goes to corporate because there is one too many complaints from my friends and family regarding current management and staff and a business should not be run that way. read more

Staff is okay. Quinnten is cool but I think he left already so F. Workers look annoyed most of the time. Look happy to be there lmfao, you guys are getting paid. There's one worker who's on Netflix like most of the time she's on shift and doesn't even bother to greet people walking in. They also wait super long to refill the towel dispensers/spray cleaners. Sometimes they don't even give a fuck and just go like 40 minutes without putting anything and some people are forced to leave their sweat on the preset machines. The gym equipment isn't that clean. Some people use like 3 machines at a time and I gotta wait until they're done hogging it. There are also some people who don't wipe the machines after they finish using it, so that's kinda gross. People turn off the treadmills improperly sometimes so there's always like 1 or 2 treadmills that are broken. It usually takes like 3 weeks to get it fixed. Bathrooms are kinda clean. One time I walked in to take a piss and saw a dude was bare ass naked in there. Luckily I only saw his ass because that shit was gross af. Overall just go to Planet Fitness, they actually have WiFI.... read more
