    I have been working out with Carlos for over a year now. In about a two month time frame he helped me decrease my body fat percentage and increase my lean muscle mass which was my ultimate goal. He works with you on your nutrition. He makes sure I'm consistent with my protein intake and taking my aminos. Carlos has always been consistently professional. He is supportive and motivating. He keeps the environment fun! I've had personal trainers in the past but his workout is what has helped me reach my goals. I don't write many reviews but I feel it necessary to support Fitmonster as he has supported me. If I ever had an injury he would make me feel comfortable and I worked with him to do alternate workout type. Communication is key. A lot of other fitmonsters have injuries and communicate with him and ask for a modification when needed. I feel that this workout can be difficult for some people and it's not easy but it is easy to make excuses for ourselves and to not push ourselves to get to the next level. Life is best when you work out of your comfort zone.

    This place is awesome! You can exercise and enjoy the views of the ocean. I love the boot camp Carlos is an amazing trainer he's very professional and kind. My pictures will tell you more than my words. I've been exercising for a year with Carlos and I feel amazing!.

Being new to the area, I was looking for a specific kind of gym--smaller, non-chain, that offered martial arts but also a good variety of strength conditioning and cardio classes. With LB Fitness I found exactly that, and more! Cardio kickboxing, combat conditioning, and Muay Thai with Edson have definitely been transforming my body--I am stronger, leaner, have more endurance, and am overall more fit than ever before. But taking these classes and seeing the results has also had a tremendous impact on how I feel: more confident, grittier, and full of energy! I'm now addicted to learning more combinations, practicing my kicks and punches, and am motivated to continue getting faster and adding more power. Also, as Edson is big on technique, his combat classes are great to learn how to properly work with weights, lift, and develop more strength without getting hurt. Boot camp and Zumba Strong with Bailey are also a must! Mixing cardio with strength conditioning (to a great soundtrack!), these classes are all about tightening, leaning, and burning calories. Also, Bailey is an incredibly encouraging, supportive, and motivating instructor, so while she will push you to your limits, you likely won't even notice until the next day when you are beyond sore =) Finally, LB Fitness tends to attract people who are willing to work hard to get results, but who are also down-to-earth, friendly, and supportive of each others' journeys, which has been truly refreshing.     DJ changed my life…read more I was 50lbs overweight and just felt slow, weak, and generally tired of living that way. I didn't seek out a personal trainer (at first) because I didn't think I needed one, but after a full year of going it alone and incorporating youtube workouts into my routine with nothing to show for it, I wanted to make the investment. DJ was training several people at my gym and I liked his approach. When I asked if I could hire him, he interviewed me! No joke. He asked me what my goals were and if I was willing to work hard to achieve them. The first few weeks were difficult, but DJ never designed a workout that I couldn't physically do. As I developed my core strength and cardio, the workouts continued to challenge me and in turn built my confidence. DJ helped me examine my diet, cut weight, and keep it off. We started strength training, and later incorporated weight lifting. My proudest moment was standing on the scale only 6 months after my first session with DJ and seeing the number I had held in my mind for so long and thought many times impossible to achieve. It was a surreal moment and one I'll never forget. DJ is the real deal. He has a big heart, he's intelligent and knows his craft, and he has a way of developing individuals into athletes. DJ taught me how to shape my body while giving me the confidence to always put in the work. He believed in me, encouraged me, pushed me, and was as committed to my goal as I was. DJ changed my life. I'd never worked with a personal trainer before DJ, and I had no idea what to expect going in. In fact, I thought I had to be in "good shape" before working with a trainer. I could not have been more wrong! I trained with DJ 2-3 times a week for a full year. Over that period of time, my body and lifestyle were completely transformed. DJ is incredibly knowledgable, and knows exactly when to push you, how to challenge you, and he never gives you an exercise that you can't handle. Every workout was different and fun--I don't think I ever did the same set of exercises twice! What I appreciate most about DJ is how committed he is to my success. I am the happiest, healthiest, and strongest I've ever been. I can honestly say that I never would have thought I could accomplish the things I have, and I was able to set and achieve my goals because I had DJ as my guide.

It was a good little adventure, but I still wanted a home base where I got the great workout and felt accepted. I have been going to Cory's group classes once a week since March, and I feel the results and see them. I also believe Cory is such a great trainer and motivator. He's so informative and helpful to each person that walks through his door. Not to mention his group classes in the evenings are a whopping $5 each per person.
