I absolutely adore this gym! I've been going here for almost a year and don't really have any bad things to say about it. Everyday I come in and staff are cleaning - this is definitely the cleanest gym I've been in. I even requested the sauna door get a blocker at the bottom to prevent cold air from coming in and it was installed fast! The only downsides to this gym are the size - it is definitely small, but it has everything you need! The treadmills aren't all level and are outdated. It would be so amazing if they could get some new treadmills - even if they only replaced a few. More availability for classes - especially a Sunday morning yoga class! That would be amazing! I joined this gym in March 2022, just 2 weeks after moving to Oceanside. The main reasons I joined is because of it's location (very close to home) and because of Taryn the yoga instructor and Marisol the Zumba instructor. Both are EXCELLENT at what they do and keep me and many others motivated to keep returning to their classes. I also enjoy using some of the cardio and Life Fitness machines. There are some things that could be improved, and I have made suggestions to the manager. First, the gym really needs to buy a second leg extension machine. They only have one and it is almost always occupied. Secondly, they need to hire another great yoga instructor as a back-up when Taryn is out of town or sick, and it would be nice to add a Saturday morning yoga class to the schedule. Or as an alternative, add another instructor that offers a different kind of fitness class. I've been told that they offered more variety of classes before the pandemic, so I think now it's time to add more again, especially if they want new people to join the gym! read more

READ THIS....Went for a one day pass to see how the gym looked as they reopened under Covid and was thinking of renewing. CANNOT begin to express how many idiots walked around, worked out, coughed and stood around talking to one another with absolutely NO MASK on!!! I'm not talking about slipping masks or just covering their mouths, I'm talking about a small packed hot gym with 6-10 ppl not wearing masks, 8-10 ppl with masks covering only their chins and so on...it doesn't get better. Worked out for a solid 2 hours, (went back and wore 2 masks btw) not ONE SINGLE TIME DID I SEE AN EMPLOYEE CLEAN OR WIPE DOWN equipment. Not once. A bunch of young employees walked by not addressing mask situation or cleaning the whole time. This is a disaster and very very poorly run fitness center. Being here made me scared for myself, family and community. Read other reviews stating the same; seriously thinking of reporting to County Officials. RUN from this place if you want to avoid COVID-19. read more

Signing up May 2021 because they had kids club available and this is what this stay at home needs most. I was more surprise how amazing everyone has been. Walking in every morning Marlene has been greeting us and brightens me and my kids mornings. The girls that are in the kids club are amazing and I trust them with my kids. The spot for kids isn't the biggest but they make sure the kids are happy, sometimes they do crafts other times they love watching the TV or playing with all the toys. My kids never complained about going, ages 9,3,1. We are beyond sad we are moving in a month, this team has been amazing. read more

I cant say enough great things about this gym! Been going here for a few months and it's inviting and welcoming. I dont feel uncomfortable working out here. It is always very clean as well which is great! I also utilize their kids club for my daughter and it is excellent! The girls who watch the kids are so nice and love the kids too and i have trust in them and don't worry too much about my daughter while she's in there. This Fitness 19 is great, they have flexible plans with competitive pricing. New members are always treated well. I used the month to month plan because I was only going to be in the area for a few months. Great location, clean equipment, friendly team members, and the most important thing is that it's never too packed, even during peak hours there are plenty of equipment to workout around. Aaron helped me with canceling my membership, and he was a great help and made the process super simple. Love to workout here! Their staff is always very nice. I have a three year old and the girls at the child care are amazing.

First off, the staff at Fitness 19 are the best around. I was never pressured into signing up for more than I could handle or wanted. They're courteous and outgoing. They're also very encouraging toward everyone I see. I worked with Corbin, one of the trainers there, and he gave me a well-informed perspective on the workout he took me through as well as encouraged me and even did some of the exercises alongside me. Benjamin always seems to be there and is proactive in keeping the place running at high capacity; he's also been great to chat with. The facility is good and has most of what I need to get a great workout. This was very important for me during 2020/21 because most other gyms closed, but this one remained mostly open, and did everything they could to keep fitness a priority for it's members. Other gyms that I've been to in the area have been unnecessarily snotty and restrictive, but I've not once experienced that at Fitness 19. Highly recommend! read more

The manager Benjamin is always there to greet me when I walk in, and he hands me my resistance bands before I even ask now because he already knowsThe whole staff is friendly and helpful! I appreciate each and every one of them. They offer a free personal training session and daycare that is very cheap and convenient. The equipment is in good condition, and it's not too crowded like other gyms I've been to. Best gym in O'Side! I have been going here over a year, and no gym compares in the area. Paper towels/spray are always restocked, and bathroom is always CLEAN! Something that is almost unheard of with chain style gyms today. No matter your fitness level, you will NOT feel out of place here. Bad service , always crowded the girls that work there always give you attitude. No manners , the machines always break and it's super small I recommend commute to a different gym I picked this gym because it was closer , but I'm moving back to LA fitness and almost as same price at fitness 19 I have my last month notice and the guy told me sure we just have to make sure you don't owe anything and you can be good as if I would owe money to them if I did owe them I'm sure I would have been notified every time I would come work out . At first I was excited about this gym, but unfortunately the poor customer service from the managers/owners is what ruined my experience. 1. Personal trainers-DO NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS 2. They try to bill you for their mistakes. 3. Bathrooms always dirty. 4. Sauna is never on. 5. Half of machines don't work. 6. Complimentary water provided tastes like tap water and it's warm. 7. Update on my past review...the staff over the past month have become more attentive to all gym members not just the people who go yo to the counter. Even when the gym is full of people in the evenings with the Zumba moms they're still walking around and making sure everyone is good to go. Definitely worth the membership. read more

I really like going to fitness 19. It is super close to my house and has great options for workouts. I especially love the Zumba classes and working out with my personal trainer Virginia. She knows how to push you but also accommodates any needs you may have. It's always clean in the gym and everyone is friendly.
