Great gym to go to. I first went to this gym back in 2017, and I don't remmeber having a bad experience. The people up front are nice are will help you if you ask for help. It has a lot of the equipment that I would use to workout. Price is affordable and there is different membership options to chose from. I like the extra room next door. Very open and allows you to do any extra workouts. Although, it's preffered to head into the room at around 12pm. Great gym to go to! read more

This week will be the 3rd week I've had my membership and I feel disappointed. I have no clue what's up with the Zumba classes and the instructors. I was told the instructors were part of Fitness 19 amazing staff. If there is something that is grinding my gears it's 1) instructors arrive and don't start the class on time. 2) the schedule keeps changing last minute. For the last 2 weeks there are subs and the staff and instructors are not notifying the class. If you get lucky, the instructor had a FB account and you get notifications that way; but FITNESS 19 staff COME ON! You don't even let the members know that there is a sub for the class or a class cancellation. read more

I signed up for this gym last year and couldn't believe how plush it was for such a low rate. Top-of-the-line new equipment, always clean pool and Jacuzzi, and an incredible staff, especially Duane Who saw me waiting to talk to the manager and kindly offered to help me. I was in an accident last year that hospitalized me and kept me in a wheelchair for several months. I didn't have a chance to go to EOS to freeze my membership but when I provided proof they credited me for the months I was out for the future. So the 5 star review I gave on this place was only because the assistant manager (the tan looking bald guy) told me he would give me a better deal if I leave a 5 star review, I assumed they do this with everyone so don't take any of the 5 star reviews seriously. I had to write the review and show him to get the better deal. I'll give you my real review of the gym now. As a gym it is kind of small, but it has what you need and they do keep it clean. It does get very crowded in the afternoon where, you have trouble getting your workout routine in, cause every machine is taken and your always next to someone. I would've given it a 3 star review, possibly even a 4 star...IF...they weren't shady. Again the assistant manger or possibly manager. I'm not sure if the blonde lady is the owner or just the manager, but the bald tan looking guy looks to be the one running things when she is not there. He told me to write a 5 star review, show him, and he would give me a better deal. Then when I told them I wanted to cancel my membership, they obliged or so I thought. My old gym, was open again after the pandemic so I returned back to it. Well Fitness 19 kept charging my card without me knowing, even though I went up to the front desk and told the worker to cancel my membership. I saw other reviews complaining of the same thing, but I was a fool and ignored them. I went back complained about how they were still charging my card when I told them to cancel it months ago. I even told them to look at my check I'm times, I stopped going to that gym months prior. I had it canceled again and called my bank to make sure they block this company to steal anymore of money. Fitness 19, is a decent, small, but clean gym. However, like other reviewers said they will continue to charge your card after canceling. Plus expect to get asked to write an illegitimate 5 star review. read more

FYI...I'm age mid-60's; I've been a member at this club for 7+ years- Plusses: - Good sized facility, by no means huge but big enough - rarely ever overly crowded/congested - Good selection of equipment, free weights and machines appear to be kept in good working condition - Recently upgraded lighting in locker room areas - much better now; this was long overdue - Overall facility cleanliness is good - Adjacent wood-floored room for classes is nice if you're so inclined to join group exercise Minuses: - lack of hand sanitizers / wipes - Music: need more variety - and bit lower volume. A wide range of ages use the facility, but honestly I feel like a larger dose of classic rock and MUCH smaller portion of Rap/Hip Hop would help read more

Our family of 4 decided to join Fitness 19 originally because it was close to our home, however; there are other reasons as well. Benjamin and the other staff went above and beyond to befriend us and show interest in our needs. We interacted with a couple front end personnel and Benjamin actually called a personal trainer to see if they could fit our kids into their normal day off. Marisol is the best Zumba instructor my wife and I have ever had. We've had several, but none compare to her energy, her friendliness and her ability to motivate her students to push themselves to greater endurance. She is truly a fantastic Zumba instructor! Additionally, my wife and I have tried several different gyms in and around Oceanside, to include but not limited to: LA Fitness and 24hr Fitness and must say that this facility is well worth the low cost for membership. The facility is always clean with a friendly atmosphere of regulars, but never crowded. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. I must note that the on sight day care room is awesome! I highly recommend this fitness 19. I signed up a year ago and had a great experience here. I had to cancel my membership due to moving out of state and they made it so easy. The gym is always clean and never too crowded for my liking. I usually workout between 3-4:30pm during weekdays and machines are pretty easy to get. I just signed up, and it's pretty good. I appreciate the efforts to keep everything clean and sanitized for covid. I love that they require maks because I want to gain muscles, not The Rona.. The staff is friendly but dont get in your face when you're working out, which is great. It's also hardly ever super crowded. I'm not sure if its normally like that, but I definitely dont mind it right now. The gym itself is small but it has everything I need to get back in working out shape. I've been going to Fitness 19 for the past year and I can honestly say I've enjoyed my experience thus far. They have all the equipment you need in order to get in a good workout. Just enough free weights and a ton of cardio equipment. Although I don't attend group classes people seem to enjoy it. It's never over crowded when I go unlike other commercial gyms. I quit the gym today. First, thank you to them for having the guts to stay open when they are risking penalty. I am 61, in top shape ,been working out 40+ yrs ( competed a few times) and have worked and managed gyms in the past. ( Ballys total & 24 HR) . A recurring problem today. They let members and trainers use LOUD BOOMBOX when they work out. I asked them to stop this in the past. So you are listening to the overhead canned music ( thats ok) , someone's boom box and on top of that your own headphones ! TOO MUCH NOISE ! I work in a noise high stress casino and come here to relax. NOT to listen to someone else's music booming at me. I ask the trainer if it was allowed and he said he needed it for training. ( Main floor members everywhere) Kid is half my age and I said " SIR, can we do something about this ? I come here to relax." Trainer ( CARLOS) actually SNEERED at me and sarcasticly said " If you don't like it wear headphones !" I couldn't believe he talked to me in that tone and manner , so I said," NOW you are being sarcastic" He replied " YES I AM !" ) These are direct quotes. I promptly went to Benjaman ( Manager ? ) and explained I'm quitting. To his credit, he was very good and professional trying to get me to change my mind. I cant have a high stress environment when I walk in ,or any problems. I want a comfortable resonable noise level where I can work out by myself in peace. read more

I've been going to this gym since last year April 2021 and it initially started with me finding a gym that was affordable and conveniently close to my house. I was happy to know there's a kids club and ZUMBA classes! I immediately signed up and it's been my go-to gym to get my workouts in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The trainers are very knowledgeable and I enjoy my workouts in the morning before I go to work. I also love using the hydro massage machine on my rest days!!!
