Peep my reviews and you will see I've visited a lot of different gyms around the Irvine / Lake Forest area. We have heard of FoF from a couple members of another gym we went to and we were lucky to meet someone at FoF at Hyrox last year. I couldn't remember the person but I remember chatting with them, signing up for their email list and got a cinch bag. Well I was finally able to actually check out their gym. I'm bummed it took me so long after Hyrox to visit. Wow, they aren't faking it when they say "everybody loves everybody" in the gym. That's their motto. I checked out their Wednesday Hyrox class (met my friend Erin that morning) and I was immediately welcomed with warm smiles, high fives and good vibes. I legit felt "part of the family" at the get go. Matt, the coach, is a fantastic coach. He is always suggesting either something more challenging or something to substitute based on any injuries. I especially also love the extensive warm up before our runs -- A skips, B skips, you name it, we do it. I'm already seeing a noticeable difference taking the Hyrox classes (Wednesday, Saturday) on my runs. The staff always say hi and are extremely friendly. Brenda, always smiling and cheering us on. I really appreciate everyone is the gym here. Everyone is kind, and supportive of each other. Like I said, on day one, I felt like family already -- it's apparent that camaraderie and community is their number one priority here; everyone is supporting one another and the questions at the start of the day lets you connect and learn more about your fellow athletes in fun ways (outside of sharing the pain and trauma of the current workout lol) All in all, even tho I've only gone here x2/week for maybe a month now, this place really lives up to their name, and can't wait for more classes and challenges here. Walking into Wild Studio, I was hopeful but didn't expect to vibe so well with a personal trainer. I've been around loads of fitness instructors, personal trainers all decent but Dani? She stands out. Why? She listens. She's respectful. She's fun. She is professional. She's not just there to bark exercises at you she meets you where you are and pushes you in a way that feels empowering, not punishing. She's flexible, focused, and genuinely wants you to succeed. And you will hit your goals, trust me. She's also not the type to ask for reviews or showboat posts on Insta she's humble, professional, and just gets on with it. Which, of course, made me want to write this even more. Let's be honest I probably would've loved whoever I was set up with. I went in to train for Big Bear Spartan "Super". I went in to the race prepared, conditioned, and confident thanks to their training. Ive been coming to this gym for around 4 years, took a break when I went to college and came back recently. I loved my old trainer Coach Crystal and my new trainer Coach Dani. Everyone at FOF is kind and greets me by name. The owners, Josh and Haydee have created a very supportive, encouraging, and loving environment. The trainers use an app where they can load workouts for me during the week. I only see Coach Dani once a week, but she has created plans for me for 3 other days where I can go for open gym. During open gym there is always a trainer or staff member incase I have questions or need help. Coach Dani also helps with my nutrition and checks in with me to make sure I am staying on track. The staff demonstrates that they care about my success, even if they are not directly working with me. All of this has helped with my "gym anxiety" and helps keep me motivated. I feel very comfortable as a young woman here knowing that this is such a tight knit family business and I have never felt unsafe. They have even had self defense classes for women. If this isn't testimony enough, there are people who have been coming to FOF multiple days a week, for 5+ years. It's obviously a great place to be. So glad I found FOF. read more

FOF is worthy for an updated review. So grateful for my coach Crystal and those who have taken care of me this past year. With my triglycerides creeping up every year from 2018 to 2020. I realized my old routine at 24 hour fitness and self work just was not working! I didn't want necessarily to get ripped up per se...just a good sweat 1x a week for a full year plus not a drill sargeant style place belittling me. From the first meeting with my trainer, Jenny De Anda Fast, I was hooked. This place has and does it all, They have group in-person and virtual classes, personal training and specialized training such as OCR and yoga. I just moved to Socal from Pacific Northwest (PNW) recently. I did OCR training by myself for over 5 years because there were no organized OCR gym at PNW. My plan was to sign up for a basic membership (open gym). I am glad I tried out the new member only unlimited classes and semi private session for a month. The open gym sounds super lame after I experienced their OCR, strength, cardio, and fitness on fire classes. :) All of the coaches are super friendly and knowledgeable. Josh was kind enough to give me a preview of the new gym when we worked out this week. It's brand new and still shiny with new equipment. I particularly like their boxing set up with this really cool set up to practice all of your combinations. Additionally, I'm partial to the trx set up as well. Josh gives a great workout and he's focused on your individuality. He adjusts his training to fit your needs and issues instead of pushing one cookie cutter program on you. My first session at Fitness on Fire was back in 2017 to start training for a Spartan race. I was SO nervous because I had no idea how to do any obstacles and didn't want to embarrass myself in front of others since I knew it was a class setting. When I walked through the doors, it was the opposite of what I expected. Everyone from the first impression specialist to the members to the coach's are so warm and welcoming. Of course, I couldn't get through some obstacles, but the coach's (and members) would help me and walk me through each step. There is no judgment at this gym either - we start each class with everybody loves everybody! I work with Coach Gabby and she is incredible!
