We have been members since the gym opened as Aspen. Although it was never a great gym it was worth…read morethe 10$ a month per member. At one point many machines were down for long periods of time but recently that has not been an issue. our major issue has been billing we at one point had 5 people on the account and would typically get at least 3 transactions a month and sometimes more. The maintenance fees that were always in Dec started coming out some in Jun some in Oct others Dec. It became a mystery what would show up on our statement each month then we would go in and the person behind the desk said they were not sure we would get a call from a manager and they would kinda explain it but could never get the billing to come out as one transaction or give us any detailed billing. At one point one of my sons got dropped off the account he was not using it much so we just did not fight to get him back on. On a regular basis we were stopped when we came in and told we were not member's. After arguing and missing half our workouts it would be resolved until the next time. In Dec my older son's moved out of state we told them to remove them from the account. We were informed they had to give 30 days notice via certified mail. Because they were 18 ok this is annoying but its a rule I get that and we followed the rule. My wife and I considered all leaving at the same time but decided to stay on. With out notice on Jan 1st my membership doubled in price. I decided at that time we would all leave we filled out the paper work and I even confirmed with Miguel a manager and Estavan the owner that as of Feb 11th we were done they assured me we had nothing else to do. So this morning we look on the account we were still billed for my wife because she had not signed to leave. I had asked if we had anything else while my wife was onsite and they could have had her sign the paper then. Also one of my sons was also still charged and we had a certified letter of him sending his notice to leave. It has been a billing nightmare working with this company and is boarding on fraudulent billing. We are currently expecting a refund for the most recent deduction and will not contact Kore if further billing goes through it will be handled as Fraud through our bank. In short decent inexpensive gym if you can get past the billing nightmare.

I don't know where I put it, all I know now is that I got to looking a little too much like a big ball of pudding. Nobody wants that. Gym trainers are one thing. I've dealt with them in the past. Expensive, and crappy. They're not as interested in you as they are in the act of blowing kisses to themselves in the mirror between sets. All you are is a means to an end. Not here. Joe and Frank are something else entirely. These fellas are completely and entirely invested in helping you reach your goals. And maybe you don't want to be Arnold, but you don't want to look like you were carved out of pudding either. They're realistic. No one-size fits all nonsense. Because you're not a cookie-cutter person, and these aren't cookie-cutter trainers. Trust me. I know. Every day I get a bit stronger, and a bit less pudding. Stop wasting time on inferior trainers. I visited after work for the first time at around 5 PM. The facility was as expected: a huge room with a large number of cardio machines, free weights, universal training machines and a 30 minute circuit space. There are gender specific locker rooms with changing stalls and showers as well as the aforementioned tanning, massage chairs, and HydroMassage Since I was new to the brand and location (I joined via the app with no human contact) I asked for a tour of the facility. The space was very clean which impressed me. The locker room, showers, changing stalls and toilets all looked good. I was surprised that there is no towel service and you bring your own lock, no self locking options here. I used the treadmill, locker room (purchased a lock from PF for $5) and changing stalls. I would say the facility is what I would expect for the price. Not an expensive fancy club but a basic space where you can meet all your workout needs. I'm pleased with my membership and the friendliness of the staff. One thing my tour guide left out was there are sign up sheets for the amenities like tanning and massage. Don't forget to sign up!

I want to start by saying that I am an extremely passive and non-confrontational type of Customer…read more I did not go into the gym with the expectation that there was going to be an argument or especially to be berated. Last Wednesday, my friend and I signed up for the 3 day pass at your 2100 Polaris Parkway location, in Columbus Ohio. We went and were greeted by Tyler who at first introduction seemed very kind. My friend and I worked out and loved the gym. Tyler told us he would be sending up offer emails, and to expect prices to go up by Monday, as "the gym is switching back to LA Fitness." We saw this as a ploy to get us to sign up faster, but it didn't deter us from joining. The plan was to use our 3 day passes and then sign up. Tyler called me on Friday, I explained to him that I haven't had a chance to come in, but we were very interested and I would sign up through the offer email. Later that night, I attempted to sign up with my American Express card. I received an error on the next page. I retried with my routing and account information, signed the documents, and went on with my busy weekend. The following Monday (4/1) I walk in and attempt to give my phone number because I haven't received a badge. To my surprise I'm not found in their system. Tyler takes me and my friend back to his office and says that he told us to sign up within the timeframe, as prices would increase. I explain to him that I had. He then asks to check my browser history, as if I'm lying. I show him, which proves I was in fact on the website and received the error and continued to re-attempt. He continued to question my search history and stated that if my search history had shown thecorrect URL that he would have been able to honor the price. My friend and I both questioned the point of the browser history interrogation, and explained in detail exactly what happened: that I signed up, received the error, and retried, but something must have gone wrong. We asked that he please honor the price as it was a system error and not a human one. He continues to badger us, and tells me I should've come in if I had issues. Again, had I known the system wouldn't process the signup, I would've come in; it was a complete surprise that it did not process. This goes on for about 10 minutes. Where I feel he is completely chastising us, and accusing us of lying, and he offers the jump in price of $29.99. I tell him it's not about the $5 difference. It is about his treatment of us. That I'm extremely uncomfortable by the confrontation, and because of his conduct, that I'm leaving and signing up for another gym. As we are walking out, he proceeds to call us clowns and walks away. My friend and I are in disbelief. I have never in my life been treated so disrespectfully by a staff member, let alone a manager. All for voicing our concerns. I am dumbfounded and chose to walk out. Again, because I don't like confrontation. Because he called us "clowns", my friend asks to speak to the Gym manager who is on a phone call at the main front desk. She waits. All while Tyler is throwing a temper tantrum right there behind the front desk, in front of all the incoming customers, loudly complaining about the altercation and making snide comments about us, all the while my friend is still waiting for the manager and is standing right there, just two feet away, overhearing all of it. That it itself is unbelievably unprofessional. His manager, who is still on the phone with a customer, motioned for him to stop (multiple times), but he continued. This went on for 10 or more minutes. There were two other colleagues who were there and can attest to this behavior. I am appalled that someone like this is in a customer service position. A gym is supposed to feel inviting, and that's not how we felt. Our excitement for the gym quickly dissipated. I will never sign up for a membership here as long as Tyler is working there. As a gym in such a competitive environment like Columbus, there should be more thought into who you hire and who you choose to keep on. Especially with a planet fitness right across the street. My friend and I quickly crossed the street, signed up for planet fitness and had a great workout, contrary to how Tyler treated us.

I kept seeing their ad come across my feed on FB. And even though I had scheduled an appointment…read more and canceled, I went in on my own. My son and I spoke with Ryan, who was nice and polite. Showed us around. Went and spoke about memberships and how much the cost was to start( omg.. expensive unless they give you a deal) ad how much it is per week( roughly$160.00 a month or thereabouts. I wanted to mull it over for the night but, was told that he and the trainer I would be assigned to was leaving for vacation in the morning. I hesitantly signed the paperwork but was looking forward to whenever I might start. Got home , talked over with my bf and he pointed out that was a lot of money for a single Mom and Army widow to pay each month. That was when I realized that this money I needed for my son, for Christmas, to fix his Daddy's truck. We all went in a day later to cancel my membership. The guy we spoke to was nice at first until my bf ( who works for the State of Ohio) told him the state code for canceling contracts. The guy seemed not happy at all.He said fine. Then questioned me about my fitness plans. I have a friend who is a body builder, she helps people get in shape. We asked about paperwork to cancel everything and he said there was no paperwork needed. Then we asked about my money being re, he said he would do take care of it and I would.get a refund. I never got my refund. He was dishonest. I contacted my bank and co tested the charges and they looked into stating that Friendship Fitness denied any chance of a refund. So, basicly... stealing money when a contract was legally canceled. I was going to go back at the beginning of the year and train here. I will not do business with anyone who conducts their business like this. Go somewhere else that will be upfront with you.
