We timed it right, and only waited five minutes for a table. Salads were quick and food came out reasonable time hot and tasty. Really cute place! No overhead music, so great for conversation. And...clean restrooms! A must! Ordering desert to go. We will be back!

    Not while I eat!

Had lunch there. I had a pork chop and it was delicious. My friend had ribs and she was pleased, too!

Great service and good variety on the menu. Small capacity and there was a crowd when we left seemed to be the only downfall.

Probably the best food in Sedalia and reasonably priced. It's noisy, but it's worth it!

The lacquered soup bowl and spoon are par for the course but the cast iron teapot and teacup give that authentic quality. So the miso soup is not as salty as I am accustomed to, but I believe that is a me thing, not a quality issue. The composition of seaweed and tofu is good. The salad has a ginger dressing which I appreciate, but my daughter didn't. Again, it's a her issue. The salad components were fresh. The sushi flavors were pretty good. So the fish is not as fresh as it would be in a coastal state or on an island. Hey man, this is the midwest! That being said, this is NOT grocery store sushi though, it is much better and much tastier than that. The flavors of the sauces are mild to allow the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through, something that many places err in. Typical rolls have such overpowering sauces that the actual ingredients are unidentifiable. This place does not make that mistake. The spicy tuna roll is probably the best tasting spicy tuna roll that I have had in a very long time. Most places use sriracha as the main pepper ingredient, despite it not being of Japan origins. This spicy tuna roll has more of a togarashii based pepper base. As a result it has more of an authentic Japanese flavor. Yum! The staff are very nice, greeting you with a smile. They even ask if you would like a plate cleared away before taking the dish away...my husband has had instances where he wasn't quite done and the servers whisked the dish away neglecting to ask. They checked on us frequently as well. I also am pleasantly surprised that their last call for dine in is 15 minutes before they close. My daughter wasn't available to go out for dinner until 8:45 pm. This is 20 minutes away, so it was still open when we arrived and we didn't feel rushed to place our order.

Couldn't wait to order espresso but all coffee service was "broken" Music is ridiculously loud and repetitive. Not a great place based on my first experience

Having never been into the restaurant it was quite nice, very casual but upbeat and had a positive air to it. We began with the fried portobello mushrooms and dip. The seasoning and breading on them was absolutely full of flavor, great job to whoever does the breading. We then had a garden salad that we split which was a perfect lite, delight, the raspberry poppyseed dressing is a must for salad lovers! Finally, we also shared a kehde's special of society (burnt ends are just the best) sour cream and chives fries, with beans. Everything was incredibly delicious and to top it off we had the best service from Kristen who was very attentive, conversational and made sure our dining experience needs were excellently catered to (plates for both of us, making sure drinks were full, checking on us). All in all this was a great experience and I hope many others get the chance to dine here if they have not.

My ribs were very good, nice smoke ring and were not fall off the bone, which is good. The beans were out of a can but were doctored up with onion and small chunks of meat, not bad. The slice of Texas toast was meh. The sweet potato fries were luke warm and very limp, not the best I have had.The burnt ends looked like some over done prime rib cut into nice square pieces with some thickened BBQ sauce. The cole slaw was actually pretty good, the wife liked it. Here again, the Texas toast was meh. Overall, nothing special to write home about but a good dinner.
