The facility is impressively clean and well cared for. The only thing more impressive is how friendly and caring the staff if. They quickly got to know us and our dogs by name and always call the day after a visit to check on the boys. Dr. Shuman is who we always see and we love him as do our 2 dogs. He is great with them and goes above and beyond to keep the visit a positive experience. He truly cares about the guys and gives them a through exam and always takes his time with them. We've had a few "emergencies" and even a surgery at their office due to a certain "rock hound" eating a rock and obstructing. They took great care of our boy and we always felt we could call or run back if we had to. The cost of service isn't the cheapest in town, but it isn't the most expensive either. Based on the service, staff and technology they employ it's a great value. I wish they had emergency hours but I do understand that is whole other level of costs and staffing so I don't fault them at all. If you need someone you can trust to care for your fur family give them a call.

I pay $150 a month for my two dogs, you'd think they'd be able to offer better customer service. Especially with such a simple task. Last time I was there it sounded like they were beating animals in the back. My dog was so scared she pee'd herself, and that has never happened. She hasn't pee'd inside anywhere in years. Plus she went potty just an hour before. They need a complete overhaul of this location, maybe find employees that genuinely care about animals, instead of just doing it just to have a job and make money. *UPDATE* After an hour I hung up and called back and Laina laughed and blamed the phone for not reminding her I was still there. We kept calling to let them know he wasn't eating and they kept charging us to get him other food and keep doing the medications. In short, he passed away not even two weeks later. When my partner went to return the kidney food (as they told us to do), someone at the front told him "people don't realize how serious Lyme disease is", as if we weren't taking the necessary steps to prevent this. He told them he wished the vet informed us enough of the lethality and risks of Lyme disease. The emergency vet ER nearby treated my dog more fairly than this vet did.

I made an appointment for a euthanasia consultation not knowing if medication would be considered. My heart was heavy trying to decide what was best for her. Thankfully Dr Howe listened to my fears and we spoke about Athena's long life and that it was okay to end her suffering. I truly appreciate Dr Howe and her staff. Their professionalism and care is apparent in everything they do. Two medications are given in the process, one to gently sedate and the other for release. Dr Howe was so gentle with Athena, talking softly to her. Dr Howe pushed the sedation, said something softly and quietly to Athena, kissed her head and then administered the second medication. I have never seen a doctor care for or respect an animal's life as she did. It meant a lot to me.
