We went here on a date night during DC restaurant week. The staff was incredible, especially our bartender. We sat at the bar for a drink before we sat for dinner. She went out of her way to make our special occasion even more special. The food was really good. We probably didn't need to order the brussels sprouts on top of the prefix menu, but we were worried the portions wouldn't be enough. We were so wrong! The portion sizes were excellent. We ended up taking some food home. My complaint is how close together all of the tables are. We heard the entire conversation conversation other people next to us and it was not a topic we cared to hear about, but we didn't really have a choice due to how close the tables were. Definitely suggest going during happy hour they have a number of classic cocktails, a few glasses of wine for $10. The draft beer is also five dollars happy hour.

The service here was absolutely fantastic. Our food and drinks were also delicious. Every course from the wagyu tartare to the key lime cremeux was beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Portions are fair as well, great all around food experience, but the staff here really make Fitzgerald's stand out. This space has great, intimate ambiance and would be perfect for a date night. The bar by the entrance is gorgeous and the drinks are well-made, not too sweet and well-crafted.

I just had an AMAZING experience at Fitzgerald's. We went for Restaurant Week because the menu really caught my eye. Did not disappoint!! Our waitress was so personable, checked on us the right amount, and the courses were timed perfectly. We are doing dry January but the cocktails around us looked amazing. A run down: Complimentary bread and butter: this is where I knew we were in for a good time. The bread was warm, soft, and salty and the butter was the right temp. I am a sucker for a good bread and butter sitch, so this was a great start Tuna crudo: probably my favorite of the night. So fresh, bursting with flavor, a mix of textures. Beautifully done. Waygu beef tartare: I loved the flavor on this and it was also really fresh. The chips that came with it added a salty crunch, but they weren't super sturdy. My fiancé thought the tartare could have had more flavor, but I really enjoyed it. Branzino bouillabaisse: I'm allergic but my fiancé said the branzino was cooked so perfectly. The tiger prawn was huge, and he said the flavors were really great. Waygu short rib: melted in my mouth!!! Really flavorful and perfectly cooked. The accompaniments really added something too. Pomme rösti: the crunch with the harissa aioli was chef's kiss. My only wish is that each piece was smaller so they'd be crispier but to each their own! Warm fudge brownie: nothing to really write home about but very solid! Key lime crémeux: SO crisp and fresh!!! A really great way to end the meal The atmosphere was sooo cozy and the decor was classy while still being simple. Every table was taken, but it wasn't too loud. A wide array of ages. Will definitely come back! A perfect restaurant week choice!

I like the vibes here. I feel like this is where rich grandpas talk about golf and drink whiskey on a Sunday afternoon. That being said I am neither a rich grandpa nor do I drink whiskey. Anyways, we got the truffle fries, beef tartare, chicken wings, and chocolate donut for dessert. Loved every dish and it's details.

After dining at 1789 Restaurant, my wife and I sat at Fitzgerald's bar and ordered the blood orange margarita and their take on a negroni. The bartender was personable and very knowledgeable. It made for the perfect end of our date night!

Overall I liked the atmosphere of this restaurant but the food and cocktails didn't particularly stand out to me even though everything was decent. I enjoyed the brown butter old fashioned and the duck burger. The calamari and steak tartare were ok. I would come here mostly for the vibe.

As soon as I stepped through the doors, I was greeted and promptly seated. First impression of the inside was that it's elegant but also cozy. Ordered the fries and some drinks. I can't remember all the drink names off the top of my head, but I can say the lavender drink was good. They also have some happy hour drinks, so that's the perfect time to go. Aside from the drinks, the fries were delicious! Extra crispy and flavorful. What my bf and I liked the most was the server and how knowledgeable he was about the drinks. Definitely a place to visit again when I'm in DC.

Excellent happy hour on a SATURDAY...my wife and I enjoyed time together on our anniversary...found this little spot and had one of the best nights of our lives together...we started at the bar and ended the night with a dinner in the upstairs area...great atmosphere and ambiance...the staff was absolutely great from top to bottom and helpful selecting drinks, food, and also pairings overall...ask for Simón at the bar and prepare yourselves for an experience, Brian is the manager and was great as well (but busy)...GREAT TIMES...thankful for the celebration and evening...Janae was the best and helpful throughout and the absolutely best server...ask for her and Simón...you won't be disappointed...

One of our favorite restaurants in Georgetown. They have a very good menu and the ambiance is perfect for dinner or just a night out with friends for cocktails and fun. Janae our server is the BEST. She's very attentive, nice and professional. She goes out of her way for what customers need for a pleasant dining experience. We appreciate your service. See you all soon. Dane was also such a professional staff member.

I loved the decor of Fitzgerald's. It's definitely a sports-themed spot, but with a modern twist and clean liners. A couple of tables appeared to be on dates and that was so refreshing to see dresses and blazers being worn. This would be a great date night or post dinner cocktail spot. Speaking of cocktails, I really enjoyed the blood Orange margarita and the Hemingway daiquiri. My boyfriend marveled at the large selection of Japanese whiskeys on the menu and partook in a few new ones. The Korean fried chicken was a must try since I'd read about it in an article for new hot spots in DC. Goodness, they were good! Crunchy, well seasoned, and a great balance of salty, sweet, and spicy. The Pekíng duck burger was exceptionally well prepared. The patty was both Juicy and tender. The addition of the fried egg added just the right amount of umami. The grilled wagyu short rib was very good.

This place is a total vibe. I was hoping for a loungey type place where'd I'd be able to hear my date with ease and that's what I got. The veal was to die for. Lighting was perfect. Attentive staff with great suggestions. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing evening here. The highlight was Tim, the bartender. He is warm, welcoming, and brings true hospitality to Fitzgeralds.

Happy hour (3-7) offers beers ranging $1-3, wine $4-6, $7 margs, and I think a few other drink specials, but those options were good enough for me and I went with the wine. Service was a little slow at first, but the one bartender working was friendly and cheerful and doing her best to keep up with everyone until another two eventually showed up or came back from break. Atmosphere was really chill. I liked the dim lighting, everyone was casual and relaxed with a dj setting up in the corner, some hip hop and classic 00s rap bumping, and a steady flow of young-ish friend groups coming in for cheap beer around 5pm. I tried not to evesdrop on the couple next to me at the bar arguing, but their fight sort of added to the entertainment and general vibe. On the other side of me was an adorable couple unsuspectedly ordering fruity drinks and laughing. Totally will be back whenever the end of my work day brings me to this area.

This is such a perfect spot for either a date night or a fun night out with friends. The speakeasy vibe, the chic atmosphere, and the music (a smooth, chill house mix) all come together so effortlessly. Plus, being open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays is a huge bonus. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time - this place stays busy for a reason. From my previous visit, I remember having a ravioli dish, what I believe was a braised beef, and their sliders with duck fat fries - all of which were incredible and clearly memorable since I was thinking about them for months. The sliders paired with those fries were honestly a standout. This time around, we had to get the duck fat fries again, and they were just as phenomenal as I remembered. The cheesesteak oysters were easily a 10/10 - fresh, meaty, and honestly surprising coming from someone who used to not even like oysters. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was well-seasoned (as expected, slightly chewy), and the fried calamari, which was light, not heavy at all, and paired perfectly with the sauces. The tuna tartare was another standout - super fresh, soft, and practically melted in your mouth. For drinks, we went all in. The Dirty Diamond martini with blue cheese olives was great, though if you like your martinis extra filthy, I'd recommend specifying that. The Hemingway Special had a nice subtle sour kick, and the vanilla mint espresso martini was strong (you can definitely taste the alcohol) but still smooth and frothy. The Mary Pickford with Malibu was surprisingly delicious - almost like a mocktail. The Paloma was solid, and the Code Red cocktail gave me slight cosmopolitan vibes. But the real star was the dulce de leche espresso martini--absolutely unforgettable. What really ties everything together here is the service. The staff - from the hosts to the servers - are attentive, welcoming, and genuinely elevate the experience. Overall, Code Red is one of those places you keep coming back to. If you're looking for a stylish speakeasy atmosphere with great food, drinks, and energy, this is it.
