The procedure was quick, virtually painless, and the staff made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. Now, three years later, I'm still thrilled with the results! My legs look amazing, and I'm so happy I decided to do this for myself. While I'll eventually need further treatment for my main superficial veins to maintain these results, this was the perfect solution for me in the meantime. Dr Fitzgibbons is a nice guy but does horrible work. At one point he injected my leg without even numbing He kept apologizing saying he never ever did that before. Well he did it now. My legs are worse then they were before I went to see him ( see pictures ) Every time I called to say something their response is the file says your very happy with the results I never said that. My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Fitzgibbons for treatment of varicose veins, and am I thankful he did! I had throbbing pain in both legs, suffered from occasional swelling after going on a run and severe itchiness around bulging varicose veins that wake me up in the middle of the night. Without reservation, I recommend Dr. Fitzgibbon to treat varicose veins. He treated mine, and now they have disappeared. My varicose veins were exceptionally large, especially for a male age 66; but after two treatments and followup work with sclerotherapy, they were reduced by 100 percent. I had my varicose and spider veins treated with Dr. Fitzgibbons in July of 2013. Based on the heat showing up on the ultrasound, my very large and painful varicose vein was about to ulcer. I had it treated immediately with EVLA and 2 Sclerotherapy treatments and there are no more remnants of ugly veins. I am very happy with the results! I feel like a new person and can wear shorts again. You would never know my legs looked so bad before. I had gone to 3 other vascular specialists for paid consultations before selecting Dr. Fitzgibbons. He has done thousands of ablations and has excellent qualifications. Varicose vein disease is genetic in my family (both parents) and I have been dealing with this disease since my mid 20s. Dr. Fitzgibbons was the first doctor to acknowledge my condition as medical, not cosmetic. It was a great relief to FINALLY hear this, after so many years of listening to other doctors say "It's not that bad", or "It's cosmetic", when I was the one suffering with the hideous veins, pain, swelling and was certain condition was not "cosmetic". Previous doctors before Dr. Fitzgibbons were not willing to attempt to get my insurance company to pay for my treatments so I always paid out of pocket. In 2008, Dr. Fitzgibbons performed endovenous laser treatments (EVLT) on both my legs as well as sclerotherapy. Even though my insurance ultimately refused to pay for my treatments (probably because of my "young" age), I really appreciated that Dr. Fitzgibbons at least made the effort to talk to my insurance about my condition and took my situation seriously. Regardless, it all worked out in the end. With Dr. Fitzgibbon's medical authorization, I was ultimately able to pay using my flex plan and the prices are very reasonable in light of his expertise and years of experience. I now see Dr. Fitzgibbons every year and my insurance company does at least cover the annual ultrasound exam. Any issues with my legs are dealt with immediately so they don't get as bad as they were. Today, I no longer have any bulging veins and marks on my legs. After hiding my legs for most of my life, I have been able to show off my legs without feeling self conscious or embarrassed. I can say with 100% certainty, Dr. Fitzgibbons is an outstanding doctor. He very knowledgeable, takes his time answering all questions/concerns and is generally very pleasant person to be around. His staff has been there for many years and there is always music playing in the patient rooms from his iPod. Dr. Fitzgibbons is the best! My bulging varicose viens were so bad and my ankles were so dark and veiny, not to mention the discomfort. Dr. T. Made an appointment 3 weeks before and same day 2 hrs before my appointment got a message they need to reschedule because of a medical emergency. Idiot name Michaela (so called patient coordinator) was so busy that she wouldn't even listen at my availability and hung up the phone on me when she didn't know what to do, rude and disrespectful!!! That's the kind of customer service you will get just because you called to make an appointment. Don't have an opinion on the Doctor, never saw him and I never will because of highly unprofessional staff! What a shame! I would say that I am not Dr.Fitzgibbons typical patient; I have peripheral neuropathy. My treatment is not fished yet, however I already feel a big improvement!
