I used to eat here quite often many years ago amd enjoyed every meal. It seems things have taken a downward turn. I got a to go order and half of it was missing. The sausage and corned beef hash was burned. The eggs and potatoes could have used at least some salt but other seasonings would be nice as well. The Hub, kiddo and I ate here for the first time today. It was good. We both had breakfast, which were both enjoyable. I liked my omelette very much. I really liked the hash browns. They were accomodating with our kiddo. The waitress even made sure they didn't put butter on his toast (milk allergy). There seems to be a lot of regulars, I can see why. We found Fitzy's on yelp and we love old diners so we decided to try it. What. A. Mistake. We waited over 45 minutes for a bagel and a breakfast combo. The service was terrible. We had to get up ourselves multiple times when we needed things. Prices were high for a low class diner as well. 7.99 for a breakfast combo. Great burgers and pancakes but the best part is the service. Always friendly and fast.

This is the typical old-style diner. While the decor has been in place for some time, the staff is friendly and prompt. Expect a full-house around lunch & dinner times on Saturday & Sunday. The menu is 5 pages long and if you can't find it on there, you probably don't need to eat it anyway. They have everything from man-whole sized pancakes to fried bologna sandwiches. The food is excellent and down home style. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but if the good food at a reasonable price (and a wide variety of choices) is what you want, give Fitzy's a try. Ok for a strip mall diner, but not as good as the nearby Yanni's Greek Grill. We actually went here for a late dinner. Service was a bit slow since there was only one person working around six tables. Waitress had to re-ask my order after taking it once, and my hash browns were not extra crispy as requested, but whatever. It's cheap, filling food, great to preface or suffix a night of drinking. For under $10, your only other options are fast food chains, and I would eat here over McD's for breakfast any day. read more

Crazy area, never would have found this place of someone hadn't raved about the breakfast. I had a nice server, and a good homemade Neal. Buffalo chicken tenders sandwich and fries. The fries were meh, and the waitress said they were fresh cut but they aren't. The chicken was great tho. Hand breaded and fried, real chicken, not frozen sticks. Cheap. Loved it read more

I was expecting more homemade tasting food. The food wasn't bad, but, the mashed potatoes tasted like instant. The brown gravy didn't taste like homemade pan gravy. The macaroni and cheese not only was served to me cold, it tasted more like a box mix. The meatloaf was okay. Lastly, the service was just so so. First time I tried his place I got a pretty good hamburger. Now my second time ordering and I can say I won't order from here again. I purchased a quesadilla with steak. I was specific and said No Onions. Since this was a delivery I paid extra for delivery charge and a tip. Well after throwing my meal into the trash I'm really upset. It seems every bite of this "steak" quesadilla had onions in it. Also, I think I tasted one piece of steak. So too bad but i won't be a return customer. read more

Been here a few times good food, service is terrible, sent coffee back but was charged for it, waited 15 minutes for the check , manager talked to everyone but us. Definitely a dive and not so much a dinner. Setting in a strip mall off of 710, the place has seen better days. I have eaten at hole-in-the-wall places before, and had great service and food, not in this case. Service was okay at best, our server must of had a ruff night or shift. Had to flag down a server twice to get cream for our coffee. One of them wasn't about to help out her coworker to get what we needed and just ignored us. I ordered the everything omelette and my partner ordered the pork chop and eggs. Our food came at a timely manner, however my omelette was quite full on ingredients, but looked more like a egg scramble than omelette. Hoping it tasted better than it looked, I dug in and was disappointed in the blandness and the gristly bits of ham were rather off outgoing. My partner's pork chops were " tuff, over cooked slabs of cardboard" as he took his first bite. I also had to ask several times to get refills on my ice tea, with a good server I wouldn't have to. On thing that this place has going for it, is that it's 24/7, so if your drunk or hung over from the night before you might not notice the bad service and food. read more

Do not waste your time! Place is dirty, food was not good and very greasy. Also the one of the cooks looks like he wants to kill you if he catches you looking at him while he is cooking. Waitresses really spend more time socializing than anything, I watched one sweep the floor and a napkin was stuck under the table leg, she swiped at it several times with the broom then gave up and left it, lol! One of the best Diner breakfast in Columbus with service that can't be beat

My first reaction upon entering was...the food in here better be good. And hooray...it was. The decor would give Robert Irvine (Restaurant Impossible) a stroke. The ceiling was dirty, half the flourescent lights were out and the upholstery on our booth was torn. Speaking of booths...get one along the wall. The booths along the front window have a huge gap between the table and the edge of the seat - it was impossible to rest my back on the seatback and reach the table...quite awkward and uncomfortable. But the tables, seats and floor appeared clean as did the grill area clearly visible to diners. The atmosphere is definitely laid-back and friendly. Don't worry about changing to go out here - it's a t-shirt and jeans place. Oh, my friend used the restroom. Tip: Go before you arrive here. We went for breakfast on a Saturday. I ordered the Pancake Combo and my friend ordered the Fitzy's Fitzer (think Barnyard Buster). My scrambled eggs were barely warm, the ham was somewhat hot but really good, and my pancakes were tasty and hot. The Fitzer was just warm enough but tasted good. Apparently everything waited for the pancakes. Coffee was excellent. So the food was quite good, and my rating would have earned four stars except too much of it was not hot. Our waitress was friendly and very good...coffee cup was kept full and hot. 3 stars = A-OK by Yelp standards and that's just what I would rate Fitzy's. A-Ok and I'll be back. read more

I have been a patron of Fitzy's since the original owner Don was there. Unfortunately no longer a patron. Since the owner has opened his new location and does not frequent the Schrock Rd location, things have gone greatly downhill. I ask for just a BLT and when handed my bill was charged $7.95! For JUST THE SANDWICH. When I ask as to why it was the same price as a platter, she stated I had to pay the same. I then ask the cook and was told 'I don't know and it doesn't affect me'. We won't be going back! As we left we watched the cook use a large knife she had been cutting sandwiches with to scrape crud off of the counter..she then sliced a grilled cheese sandwich with the same knife. As a trucker I've been everywhere and eaten just about everywhere and my standards on taste is rather low due to it. The decor was alright I suppose if you like such a thing, but I have never really gone to a place for the decor. The food here is overpriced and taste disgusting, the food bland, and to be honest I often now just drive past this place and go to the Steak n Shake with the same theme, better food, and better price. read more

I've been here many times, for lunch, when I was working, and for late breakfasts (with a group) on football Saturdays, (with a group of friends) and lunch or dinner several other times, since retirement. We all agree that it is a fun, casual diner, with heavy emphasis on Elvis, and Marilyn Monroe décor.. I would recommend this place to anyone. There Omelets, and Pancakes leave nothing to be desired. This place was very disappointing. The only thing that was good was the 1950s Diner feel. I had ordered the steak omelette which the waitress said was good with a side of hashbrowns mixed with onions and green peppers. When our food arrived the steak was rubbery and overcooked. I didn't even eat the steak... I ate around it...as well as forgetting to mix the onions and green peppers with the hash browns. My kids sausage links were burnt. The waitress never checked to see how we were doing and there was hardly anybody in there. She finally came to give me more coffee when we were pretty much done eating. When I told her about them forgetting to put the onions and green peppers with the hashbrowns she didn't even say anything. Very poor service from that particular lady and the food quality was not worth it!....there are much better mom-and-pop breakfast places around the area!!...I will not be returning there! read more

This is easily the worst breakfast experience I've ever had. They seemed to be having trouble with their exhaust fans, as it was pretty smelly and a little smoky when we walked in. We ordered 2 coffees, 2 waters, and an orange juice (for my 6 year old) to start. We were served 1 coffee, 1 water, 1 iced tea, and a glass of orange juice that was only 3/4 full. Took a good 5 minutes to get the second coffee and never got the second water. After ordering, we sat without coffee for another 8 minutes when I finally got up to ask someone to serve us. When our food came, the bacon was a soggy, fatty mess, the over easy eggs were fine, but the toast came out 5 minutes after the eggs and potatoes. By the time the toast came the eggs were cold and on their way to over medium. When it was time to leave, we waited around so long for our check (our waitress was a master of avoiding eye contact), that my daughter and I put on our coats and walked out to the car. Another server saw us going and asked our server to bring us the check, and she said she'd be there in a minute (she was parked talking to a cute couple and holding their baby). Overall, it was an extremely unpleasant experience. OH! And I didn't mention that our bill was $33! My husband and I had 2 eggs with toast and home fries & coffee. My daughter had a pancake with a side (2 pieces instead of 4) of bacon and an OJ. Her meal was $9...That's insane. The food was bad, the service was worse, and the prices were outrageous.
