Amazing diner with so many wonderful food and drink options. The service is fast and friendly. The ambiance was nice and both retro and modern. Had a chicken tortilla soup, Juicy Lucy burger with fruit, and one of the local beers. It was a the Thursday night before Thanksgiving and mostly full but no wait. They are on InKind as well.

This place is sooo good! We came in and it was busy so we decided to opt in for the bar area. We were greeted right away and provided drinks. We ordered the blue cheese chips and I ordered the meatloaf which seemed like everyone was ordering. The blue cheese chips came with fresh potato chips, topped with massive amounts of Alfredo sauce and blue cheese. Topped with fresh chives. I will definitely be ordering it every time. The meatloaf was massive. I tried the meatloaf alone at first. It had good flavor but was a little dry. Eating the meatloaf with the rest of the dish was the perfect balance. Then we ended it with a blueberry cheesecake and it was soooo good and perfect end to our meal. I already want more! I'll definitely be back to try more!

Ambiance: -Nice red seats, classic diner vibe with a darker lighting twist -Lots of space and seating Service: -Phenomenal service! Super nice and friendly waitress who checked on us at just the right times Food: -Bread they gave as a starter was super soft and had the perfect amount of butter brushed on top -Spicy shrimp pasta texture was great--bouncy and not too hard/soft. Could've used more spice and chorizo pieces. 8/10!

This is my first time here. I'm heading to OSU but didn't want to eat there. I did last time and it was just to expensive for such a small amount of food. So I found Capcity Diner. I ordered the Tamarind glazed chicken wings. Wow! Where have these been my whole life!? Wings are my third favorite food group. Octopus, escargot and then wings. These are not small wings either! I'm not easily impressed but this came close. So taking a page from Arnold, I will be back

I had not eaten at this Cap City location in years and I recently found the food here to have sadly gone downhill. The atmosphere and service are still fine. I ordered a margarita and was told they no longer carry Patron tequila. Strike one. The margarita they served me was lime green. It looked, and kind of tasted, like battery acid. Meatloaf entree was described on the menu as being served with "mushrooms, broccoli, and chili onion rings." What I received had no mushrooms, two pieces of broccoli, and some soggy onion straws thrown on top. Meatloaf was very salty. Mashed potatoes saved the dish. Pies are still very good.

Everything was delicious!! We got the meatloaf dinner and balsamic chicken dishes. So good and flavorful. Reminds me of back home and dinners from my mom. We loved the choice lava cake for dessert- it was really good to split for two. Will come back again!!!

Cap City Diner: A Solid Comfort Food Meal I finally got around to trying the famous meatloaf at Cap City Diner. I opted for the Meatloaf Melt, and it was exactly the kind of hearty, satisfying meal I was hoping for. The meatloaf, which is what they're known for, was served on Texas toast and covered with plenty of melted Swiss cheese. The addition of onions and pickles cut through the richness nicely. It was genuinely delicious--a perfect comfort food sandwich. For the side, I chose the sweet potato fries. They were thin-cut, perfectly crispy, and tasted great. They made for a light, flavorful counterpart to the melt. I finished the meal with a slice of the 24K Carrot Cake. It was a robust cake, absolutely packed with good mix-ins like pineapple, walnuts, and golden raisins. The flavor was fantastic, but be warned, the cream cheese frosting is on the extremely thick side. It's almost a layer of its own! Overall, this was a fantastic, straightforward meal. Highly recommend the meatloaf and the sweet potato fries. Far as the ambience it was low lid but not dark, and although busy the noise level was low enough that you could carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice. Our server was attentive without be intrusive. I would recommend cap city diner to anyone looking for an upscale comfort food restaurant.

We had a ladies Christmas get together here tonight. I had the fish sandwich with lettuce, pickle, tomato and tarter sauce. I had fries with the sandwich. They were a thin shoestring fry. The sandwich was absolutely huge with a good serving of fries. The sandwich had a crispy outer and tender flaky inside. The sandwich was good. The server was very good. We had 15 in our party and she was on top of everything. The restaurant was busy.

All the food was delicious!! I am still thinking about the Walleye special with crab. There is plenty of parking but it looks busy since it shares the lot with the aloft. We got seating fairly quickly and we were given ample time for dinner even with us finishing a little after they closed. The outside seating is cozy and the inside is like an intimate old school diner which I loved! A very unique take on a diner and I'm here for it. Overall, I would take guest back here when they come to visit. The food was delicious.

My husband and I renewed our 10th yrae wedding anniversary and had dinner here. The service was top tier and we enjoyed the ambiance. My meatloaf dinner was very delicious and Im happy that I ordered it after reading a few reviews about how good the meal was. I also enjoyed the strawberry basil lemonade.

My son and I ate here last Sunday with a group of friends for a birthday celebration. They were super busy as it was Sunday at 11 am. My son did not want anything on the kids menu but they were nice enough to get him a couple of plain pancakes and I had the Romano Crusted chicken. Everything was great and our server was excellent!

Always delish! Service was great. I got the grilled cheese with a cup of soup. They sure know how to jazz up a grilled cheese.

He was my server on a previous visit and had the same poor attitude then, so unfortunately today's experience was not surprising. Hospitality and customer service matter, especially in the restaurant industry, and a tip is not automatically given it's earned through good service and professionalism. Today, we went in and the man working the bar was once again rude and unwelcoming. When you ask for something, there's no "yes," "no problem," or even basic communication -- just a look. My son ordered a side of bacon with his meal, and they only brought one slice. We asked twice for the second slice and still never received it. At no point did he apologize, acknowledge the mistake, or communicate with us professionally. He eventually removed it from the bill, but the issue was never really the bacon it was the attitude and complete lack of hospitality. The food here is honestly good, which is why I've continued to come back. However, experiences like this make the environment feel uncomfortable and uninviting. I would probably visit much more often if the staff were friendlier, more attentive, and actually made customers feel welcome.

Charming decor and friendly staff. However, my experience was ruined due to an error on my take out order. I placed an order for three additional meals with an add on order of sausages. Easy, right? I initially thought so, so I wasn't concerned about my order being incorrect. I get home and my order is missing main items like pancakes, french toast, utensils, and it looked as if the order was just slapped together. I call immediately and I explained that I just had an eaten there and then ordered additional takeout and my takeout order was incorrect. The nice young lady apologized and offered to have it remade. Now I accepted that and also stated since I have to come back up there what other compensation can you provide me. She then transfers me to the incredibly Customer Service oriented manager named Juan. I do hope you can sense the sarcasm. As I explained my situation to him stating what items have been missed, what was wrong with the order and what I expected ask a reasonable solution to this situation. He then goes on and asked me several questions over and over again about the takeout meal, I explained to him one more time to which he cut me off, overtalked me, and really wasn't listening to resolve my issue. When he asked again what I ordered I said I already told you. At which point, he cursed and said he did not want to be "a$$ hole" and basically gave me the impression that he was unwilling to fix this situation. So I told him I was going to speak to him in a nicer tone that he was talking to me that I wanted him to remake the meal. I would be there in 10 minutes and I would like it piping hot. To Juan's credit my food was ready once I arrived however, he proceeds to tell me that his waitress and his expediter both checked the order and it was correct when it left. Which wasn't true obviously. As a matter of fact, my friend said she watched the waitress grab the bag and didn't open it and just came to the table. I don't have a reason to go get free food from an establishment where I've already paid and tipped the server. Second of all he indirectly called me a liar to my face, which is poor service in its own right. Thirdly, when I asked what other compensation he was willing to provide me, he just simply smiled and said no he wasn't going to do anything. Juan needs to go back to the beginning of where Customer Service starts in order to be a better front of the house manager, because when your server makes an error, you own it you do not place the blame back on the customer. Juan needs to be retrained on how to actually service people, he does not know how to talk to anyone. He did not know how to de-escalate the situation. I have been in Customer Service for 25 years and 15 of those have been working in an escalation department that was the worst interaction I believe I have ever encountered with a manager to resolve a situation. I mean Wendy's resolved issues better than this. Being that this was my first time coming to Delaney's, it will also be my last time. Because if you treat any customers the way you treated me, is clear he has no respect for the patrons of this establishment.

It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. Makes for an awkward vibe as u pretend u dont hear it. -They cant really handle a fully booked restaurant, but thats not necessarily the servers' fault as it seems they need more cooks, but prepare to wait for more than 1hr when the place is full. Servers try their best -The lunch items can be very plain compared to the breakfast items. One example: the polish boy tasted just like a store bought kielbasa, which is fine, but not for these prices. So beware to order things like might sound "plain" because they likely will taste like it -prices are a little high for the place and speed of service. If they added one more cook the speed would make up for that. Prices arent terrible, but feel a bit much given the above
