The manager lied to the customers in line for needoh and dumpings saying that they didn't have any. She started laughing then the customers in the line started to leave. Later on one of mom's friend said that she had to go back to the store to get her change back. She said when she entered the store there were fully boxes of dumplings, the manager started giving the dumplings to the employees and the manager wouldn't let her get one dumpling. My Autism classroom and I went for our yearly gift exchange to have our students purchase gifts for their secret Santa exchange and the reason we go is to show them life skills in purchasing items and receiving change and the one employee at the self-checkout gave us the worst experience for my students and I. She rushed us and was visibly annoyed that we had 4 students attempting to pay with cash and she had the worst attitude in assisting us. Not just this but she humiliated us and them by apologizing to people in line by us being an 'inconvenience'. I will be informing our school site about this experience to ensure no one else has this experience and I will be posting it in our community group as well. We will not be back. These employees need proper training as to how to interact with different populations of the community because they have just as much of a right to be there and spend their money there. read more

I typically love this store. Five-Below is great for many things. Love that there's tons of variety of different products. The products too are for great prices. Though the last time I was there I had a less than desirable experience. While I was looking around I saw a cup of pens that had a plastic lid and while there was plenty available, like 10+, all of the lids were broken. This wasn't the only product that had multiple broken on the shelf and they were scattered across the shelves too. When I went to check out, I saw they only had self service check outs, which I prefer because I like avoiding the social situation as an individual with social anxiety, but there was an employee that was doing it all for you and working with like 3 customers at once. She'd take items out of your hand forcefully to scan it even though you were in the process, and overall it was really rude. At the very end, the screen asked me if I wanted a printed or emailed receipt, then it gave me an option to pick the amount of stars to rate the cleanliness of the store. I picked two stars. I don't think it was very clean to have broken plastic shards around a store that often has children in it. It's not glass, but it can absolutely be a safety hazard. The woman saw me press two star and she started yelling "NO YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HIT FULL STARS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE." I kindly explained to her that it wasn't about customer service, it asked for store cleanliness and she insisted I was wrong. I told her I'd be happy to go online and answer whatever survey they have for customer service on the receipt and I tried looking for it. She replied in the most condescending tone "that was the survey you just answered incorrectly." I again explained it was asking for the cleanliness of the store and she insisted again I was wrong. This was only 7/16/25 at about 11:30am. Honestly, after that, I'll stick to the Lancaster store. read more

Great store for brokies like my self. They have $5 gifts for Birthdays and Christmas. The have all the candy and snacks you can't find somewhere else. They have my Calendar markers. I typically shop at this store because of the low priced and fun items for my kiddos. But today I went only to be disappointed by a female employee who accused me of taking an extra 35 cent bag (which I did not) I bought 150 dollars worth of items and when she (cashier) gave my daughter the bags I guess there was 5 instead of 4. I was in the restroom with my 3 kiddos and came out to make an additional purchase all to be accused of TAKING an extra bag. So I said no worries just charge me the extra 35 cents for the bag and donate it to someone else because I surely am not trying to steal a bag after making two separate transactions. The rude cashier insisted I was taking an extra bag after I kept telling her I did not and to ring me up for an additional bag (which she did) so at that point I decided to ask for her managers name and number which she gave attitude doing that as well, then to top it off I was called ghetto by a WHITE customer because I was asking for the corporate info or a manager to tell them to teach their employees diversity and inclusion. I NEVER yelled or cursed but simply kept stating I had not taking anything after paying for ALL my items. Employees should not always assume the worst about people of color. I was super offended that she would accuse me and she didn't even have teeth in the front of her mouth. The nerve right? She did apologize after I requested the managers info. But on the bright side the male employee was very polite and tried his best to rectify the situation due to his rude coworker. I did call corporate and left a message and in the end I hope at the very least this woman is made to take additional training and to choose better words when addressing people whom she fill has taking an extra bag #smh Do better 5 below in Palmdale... read more

Great store the only thing I didn't like was the clamp on umbrella. It's really not big enough to prevent the sun on a table unless your a child. It's really small. The waterproof Speaker isn't loud. Maybe I got a defected one. But oh well I don't have the receipt. But the store is cute. And the lawn chair is kind of small for someone of 180lb and adult might be more comfortable for child. read more

This type of stores a bit tricky. I bought a mouse pad for $4.00. The day after, I found the same mouse pad at the 99 cents store for just 99 cents. There are some good items at five and below. Their T-shirts are funny. However, you have to be careful as you are likely to find many of their products marked for $2 and above at the dollar tree and the 99 cents stores. read more

Last night at 9 pm I was so excited to go shopping at 5 below, but then I couldn't open the door. It was close!!!!!!!!! I was so upset because 5 below is awesome with their items and price and I couldn't shop there, instead I had to shop at Ross where it's way more pricey than 5 below. I'm so disappointed with how the coworkers did not go by their schedule. Maybe I should shop at the 99 cent store now where they're honest with their schedule. read more

First time in this place it was the holiday season and lots of people. But my overall impression was that the items were good yet slightly overpriced. I really enjoyed the variety of things they had and is similar to a Dollar Store. The line was long but went quickly because they were properly staffed. The store was clean and interesting. I would come back to check out if there products are worth 5 bucks but I ok only got a cat toy and it works pretty good so far. I didn't notice if they had a bathroom. Location is good. read more

First time here.. they have some neat items and it's cheap ... the only thing that pissed me off is their greeting cards... it's posted all over that it's a dollar... as in not just one sign but it's all over the place and when I paid it's $ 3.89. Told the cashier and she said "oooh we have to tell the customer the card is not a dollar" ... then u should have removed the signs then coz that's deceiving your customer... I'm sure most of the customers don't even look or realized it. It's not the money ... it's what's right and it's not right to use false advertising. read more

Brand new 5 below store. Clean and well stocked. It has a little bit of everything. What do we buy there? Toys, tshirts (very well made), slip-ons, sunglasses, rugs, picture frames, Kawaii candies, nail polish, mascara, art supplies and lots and lots of headphones (hubby and son use them for Call of Duty and they have the gamer ones for $5!!!). Employees are friendly. There were also lots of elementary educational books, adult coloring books and kawaii stickers. read more

A coworker told me about a great deal on miniature beverage dispensers - they look kind of like mason jars on stands and are so adorable - and can hold a whole gallon of liquid - they are only $5 a piece and are perfect for our work needs - putting together adorable thank you gifts for our referring offices. So I went on Friday, May 4, at about 8 p.m., to check it out - opened in Lancaster last year but I never got over there and this place just opened recently and this was my first visit to the chain. They had a cute display featuring the dispenser, a white table and two chairs, some inflatables and a small area rug - all priced at $5 or below! I asked a man for some help finding the dispensers - well they were put out right by the front door and I missed them! And I picked up 15, as I said - and I wanted that little white table, too - but couldn't find it. When I went to check out, John, the cashier, told me the little tables were a hot item and they only had one left in teal - well that was perfect as that's my accent color in my RV - so yay! Then I asked if I could buy the white one, too, the display table, and he said no, he didn't think so - then he asked the manager, Javier (the man who was so helpful earlier!) and Javier said yes - and got it for me! He didn't have to do that - they will get more in and I could have returned to the store as I said I would, to get another one - but Javier and John both are committed to good customer service and it shows. Congrats on the new store and I know you both will go far in your careers as your determination, caring and hard-working "can-do" attitudes are so important to success.
