This Five Below is located in the busy Clairemont Town Square shopping center off Clairemont. The parking is a bit weird as you cannot park behind the store and walk in from that side, you need to park at the Vons Grocery store side and enter that way. While times if have changed from this place actually being $5 and below for items, then moving to $5.55 and now offering items up to $25. Somethings are not a great deal anymore. While somethings can be found under $5, it seems like the mass majority of items are $5 or $7. There is a lot to see and look through from toys, to games, to candy to clothing and bath essentials. The store is for the most part stock with the exception of holiday or seasonal items, then its pretty much first come first served. They do have steal deals for clearance items in the past... like 50% off items. Again those items are first come, even if ordered online for store pickup. Which they have and I've used in the past before. Saves time, especially if its in-stock items. This store kind of reminds me of a higher end Dollar Tree. Because 5 Below does carry more name brands than Dollar Tree. What's new is that some of the cosmetics line offer a sample trial before you buy (see pictures) super tiny but awesome! read more

Really enjoy this five below! I feel like they have a pretty high turnover of product, so there is always some new stuff to look at every time you go! This is a great place for collectable figures, blind boxes, and pop culture stuff! I have found some gems here! The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is the clothing. It's always kind of messy and they never have a range of sizes, even just the straight sizes. They also never change the displays so you have to actually look at the shirts, it's rather annoying. read more

This Five Below is pretty big! It's very well stocked and has a lot of stuff from tech, Halloween decor (seasonal items), toys, fitness gadgets, clothes, beauty products etc. All items are good prices. The staff is very friendly, upon entering the store, checking out and leaving the store. They always had a smile on their face and very helpful. Plenty of parking here. It's around alot of other businesses as well. Definitely will return in the future. read more

This was my first time in a Five Below. Perhaps I dislike Five Below, or perhaps I dislike this particular store. I am not sure if their other stores are much different. After one of my favorite party supply stores closed, a friend commented that Five Below has some party supplies and decorations. I was doing errands in the shopping center and decided to stop in. Anyway, I didn't really see much in the way of party supplies or decorations. What they did have, was a variety of figurines, cups, and plushes. Most were $5. Some were $7, They had a section with no-name beauty supplies and a section with small electronics, as well as a snack and sweet section. My main issue, other than not having what I had been looking for, is that most of the items did not seem to be worth $5. I did pick out a few Care Bear and Hello Kitty items to make gift baskets. The snacks were mostly less than $5, and probably the most reasonably priced items in the store. Anyway, I headed to the checkout, all self checkouts only. The employees were friendly and directed me to an available self-checkout. I found that they do not have 10 cent bags as most places do. They do have some fabric bags for 30 cents, but I really didn't want one, so I wrapped my arms around my purchases and walked out. Despite having found some items for gift baskets, I didn't really feel like my visit to Below Five was worth it. read more

Well Date of Visit : February 5, 2024 and this Five Below is a New Store and it is located next to Vons and across from Burlington in the Clairemont Square Shopping Center . Well as I walk in I look around and I kind of have to say in sorta feels like Dollar Tree but much more organized and cleaner too . They carry almost the same types of products here such as Candy , Toys T-shirts and drinks plus lots of other stuff also . There are stuff they carry here over 5 Dollars so don't think everything is 5 dollars or less because that's what I thought !! But was wrong !! It's an store you would go into if you needed some Party Favors or just to pickup that quick item that is not that expensive and looking for cool Candy they do have quite a selection of candy here !! Well here is what I can say about 5 Below it is an store for that person who is looking for less expensive things and quality of products here are just like the quality of products at 99 Cents store or Dollar Tree so don't expect to find anything that has super good quality . Overall I like 5 Below and I surely can see me coming back and shopping again !! read more

Apparently I walked in on their grand opening day - lots of shoppers. Since I have never been in one before, I checked it out of curiosity. Lots of cheerful toys, various supplies, clothing, candy and a ton of other seemingly random items. Teenagers/kids targeted brightly colored inexpensive stuff. read more

Two teenagers working there clearly hate their jobs and are running the store with zero enthusiasm. I walked in at 7:30, and almost immediately, the speakers announced, "Attention shoppers, the time is now 7:45, and we will be closing in 15 minutes." Just seconds later, the announcement came again: "It's 7:50; we will be closing in 10 minutes." Meanwhile, I heard the girl employee say, "I don't care," to her coworker. Keep in mind--it was still only 7:42 PM! I understand wanting to leave work on time, but being rude and trying to push customers out before closing time is unacceptable. If you don't like working late shifts, request an opening shift. And if you truly hate your job, it's time to find something else that doesn't leave you treating customers poorly. read more

I visited Five Below earlier this evening, and they have a whole bunch of Sanrio toys! My younger sister will LOVE them! The young woman who checked us out was so kind, she was talking to my three year-old son and I, and he was laughing nonstop! It's great to have a local Five Below Store in my neighborhood, but this store is very sloppy and messy . I went this morning when just opened and it looked like a tornado hit. The shelves were messy , merchandise scattered almost on every aisle, empty shelves, shirts not folded . Considering this business just opened it's very unorganized, they need better management and employees to clean and reorganize the merchandise on shelves. It was very unpleasant to shop there. read more

This was the strangest experience that I've ever had while shopping. I go to a register, I'm the only person there, so this young man rings up my items , and abruptly walks away saying absolutely nothing to me ,walks across the floor and started ringing up purchases from another customer, two young girls. I just stood there for a second in disbelief, it did take a second to sink in what was happening, I didn't say anything to the guy, I just proceeded to bag my own purchases and left. The highest price at this store is only $5.00, the name of the store is Five Below. Located at clairemont Square. I guess one only gets $5.00s' worth of service. I ONLY WISH THAT HIS MANERGER WAS THERE,or maybe he was the manager. Thanks for the crappie service guy. read more

Although I'm happy to have a five below around that is close by, my experience there wasn't good. The bathrooms were completely disgusting, probably the worst I've ever been in. Both of them were clogged filled with nastiness and there was no toilet paper. The store was also playing very loud music, it was not pleasant or comfortable to shop. read more
