Anita and Nick (Anicka) welcomed me in, even though the store was closing in 15 minutes. I think everything I bought was 60% off, including some cute Halloween items (this was early October) including a spiderweb candleholder with a dangling spider and a plug-in vampire air freshener diffuser that projects a pumpkin face onto the wall just above. It was like magic! I am entranced. They say money can't buy happiness, but I think this place is where you can. The products are diverse and luxurious. I stock up at sales because they make great little gifts (they encouraged me to take as many gift wraps, ribbons and tags as I wanted. Who doesn't want a nice candle or bubble bath? They even have simple fragrances for men, or women who don't like products that are too perfumey. The store is attractive, and the service was stellar. I am a huge fan of B&BW. I use their products every single day and give their products as gifts. I burn the 3-wick candles nightly, and I absolutely love their Halloween and Christmas collections. I look forward to the new collections coming out every year. My friends joke that I need to buy stock in this company. I buy their products both online and in the stores. I frequent three different locations. This location is in Claremont Square next to the Vons grocery store. I go to this location every one or two moths as it is on my route for some meetings that I attend. It has its plusses and minuses. First, in general, it is a neatly organized and well-stocked store. They had tons on sale after the holidays this year. Second, the people working there are knowledgeable about the products. Third, I usually get there around 5:00 or 5:30 on a weekday, and it is never very crowded, so I don't have to wait in line. However, lately, there has been something really bothering me. It has now happened two or three times. When I walk in, they ask what I'm looking for. I either know exactly what I want (my usual scents) or I want to quietly browse. I will ask the staff if I need anything. Lately, they have been super insistent on trying to spray me with some new scent or make me use some random lotion. Last time when I walked in, I told them I was just browsing. They then lead me to a sink and asked me to wash my hands with the new scent. I declined, but almost felt like they were trying to force me. They almost act like, how dare I decline! This was not the first time they have given me this reaction. This has not happened to me in other stores. I have liked this store up until the past few months. I'm not going to buy a new scent because I'm forced to use it. Also, they are not going to make more money from me by trying to get me to switch from the scents that I was already planning to buy. I have placed this feedback in a customer survey as well, so I'm hoping for a change so that I can continue to shop there. read more

Came here for a nice body lotion. I found some but none that really stood out. The store was pretty clean and well organized. It was a lot of Christmas themed stuff and it was a bit much imo. I don't particularly find the holiday scents as appealing. Wished they had some of their non seasonal scents available. Staff were pretty jolly. Helpful and all. A little pushy at the end when we didn't end up purchasing anything and they kept offering bits of information to help entice us to buy something. But nothing overwhelming. Parking lot is huge. The ladies that work there tell you if you have rewards where the one nearest to me doesn't! Had a bad experience, coming here placed an order 5am for the Starwars collection. Got here and it was slow for them which the staff said they were behind in orders which didn't seem busy in the store. Walked in saw there was still available hand sanitizer holders but when she did my order I had missing items but on their website they had them still available. Asked if I could switch it to the holder available the lady said "no you would have to order it or buy it again because I cancelled the ones that were missing." Bad customer service here. read more

I ordered online and picked up at this location. Most items online are available in store and I can still use coupons online to get discounts. Fulfillment of my order was very quick. When picking up, they do have a stand at the door that indicates you should ask for your pickup order there, however, no one was nearby, so I had to find someone to help me. Even when I did find someone, two employees were chatting for a bit until they actually stopped to help. When they did, the person getting my order was very nice and gave me coupons for my next visit. This location is right next to Vons, so it can be busy in the parking lot, but I would just suggest parking further (there are plenty of spaces) to avoid all the immediate foot traffic in front of the store. read more

I was in the store for a while as I'm indecisive with the scents at these places, and none of the staff members approached me asking if I needed any help or even acknowledged me in general. Maybe it's because I'm not an older lady as staff members approached those shoppers perfectly fine (with fake niceness/over-the-top enthusiasm if I may add.....don't mind me I'm just salty lol). I did catch a split-second cold look from the cashier lady toward me while I was waiting in line, and at that point I just wanted to buy and leave lol. The cashier Kiera (not sure on the spelling) really stood out with her electrifying energy. I am a very upbeat person and it's rare I encounter a person who is an upbeat as myself and she matched it! I had just left Big Lots and Burlington with cashiers who didn't even say Hi. Just your total is blah blah. So I was shocked when I put my items on the counter and she complimented my scent choices and even suggested a scent that was similar to what I had so of course I have to buy it! I'm glad she suggested it cause for some reason I had overlooked it when I was getting my wall plugins. As soon as I walk into this store, I always need to mentally prepare myself to try not to walk out of the place with armloads of smelly good stuff! Twice a year they lure me in with their semi-annual clearnace sale. And I try not to go balls to the wall crazy with purchases. I like stocking up on their candles when they go on sale. Several times a year if you pay attention they sell the candles for less than $10! Which they are normally priced at $22.50. The last time that theynhaf a stock up sale, they even had special tote bags for your candles. The totes held 6 candles. LOL (Yes, I came home with a 6pack! - and it wasnt beer!) I like when they have gift sets..usually at the holidays they have some really pretty ones. The gift sets are always a good value Each time that I stop by this location the staff has been friendly and the store has been clean. I like this location because it is not located in a mall. First of all, they don't even have direct customer service to file complaint. Store # 81892 in San Diego was trying to overcharge me arguing with me that the sales tax applied to an item's original price and not a sale price. When the store manager finally refunded the overcharge amount, not a single apology was offered to me. On top of that, one of them (sales girl or a manager) removed from my bag the only scent I really wanted and put something else instead. Terrible store!!! This place always has me smelling super nice. The girls there are cool, I thought it was a little weird at first to have a chick greet me by rubbing lotion on my hands. But the stuff was amazing! It left my skin feeling as smooth as a baby's butt. They don't have as many lotions in store as they do online,but you can always buy a gift card and do the online ordering thing. My fav scent is Juniper Breeze that unfortunately they don't have in store any longer but they do have it online for the same price as in store products. Also don't forget to check for their semi annual sale, usually around Jan and may or June-ish where the lotion is usually no more than $3. There's also gift basket for any holiday or occasions, if you don't like the gifts in the set they'll let you pick out what you like and make a whole new basket for you right there. This is the best BBW around. First of all, it's tucked away next to Vons in Clairemont Square, and I don't think anyone really notices it's there. Every time I pop in, I kinda feel like it's my own personal store...it's generally empty, except for the super cheerful employees fawning all over themselves to help. It's kinda like being a celebrity in a store opened only for you. Second, they always have great sales, but none of the sale items are ever picked over or out of stock. I found a shower cream scent I loved, but the mall BBWs all ran out immediately. A few weeks later, I found a giant bin of that exact item here, and it was marked 75% off. It pretty much made my whole week. They also hand out tons of coupons at the register. Actually, I don't think I've ever spent more than $20 in one trip, but I always walk out with huge bags of fragrant goo. Yay for smelling good on a budget. Third, the girls are SO NICE. I don't know if that's because they're bored to tears and are just excited to have a customer, or what, but they're all just darling. Yep, this place rocks. read more

I love this store!! The ladies here are so sweet (well there was this on asian bitch who I havent seen in awhile) and they really remember you. I come to this location alot, maybe like once a week? The ladies are always telling me stories about the new products and asking how my work is going, very friendly. I feel like they always have good personal testimony to tell me about the soaps, that it makes me want to try it to I usually go and by the wexler ance kit (its soooo much better then proactive) . Now I have had then help me out with a coupon if I have forgotten mine and even one time when the lady was ringing me up and I said i had a headache, she gave me the aromatherpay heache stuff for free (she used a coupon for me). They even have noticed a change on my skin and complement it everytime i go I love this location, you dont have to dealwith the crazy mall and the people are very kind. read more

I shop at this location every couple months, and everytime I walked in I see friendly staff. It's not a big deal when I don't greeted when I walk into the store, I'm a big girl. You have to understand, sometimes Staff is busy helping others. However, if I need help finding an item then I would expect an available staff to be there to assist. I am a little disappointed with this Bath & Body Works Store. I had arranged a pick up order to pick up this evening and according to Yelp and Google Maps it didn't close until 9. I got there around 8:55 this evening due to having to work later and eat dinner. The door was already bolt shut. I knocked on the door and some lady came up and said they were closed. She said I would have to come back tomorrow. I told her I had already paid for my pick up order online and all I needed was the bag of my stuff. She said she couldn't do anything cause she already shut down the computer and couldn't register me out. I am sorry but it really doesn't take that long to clear someone's order. To me, this just seems like laziness. You can't take a few minutes to clear someone's order/ especially since you still had a few minutes before you needed to close? They actually messed up something today and said my order was picked up before I picked it up. I called about this and they said they registered my order with someone else with the same last name and it was ready for me to pick up. I understand mistakes happen but closing a store early without letting customers know in advance is simply bad store etiquette especially given with high gas prices and people being on a time schedule. Disappointed with this stores actions today. I hope this store can do better in the future. read more

This store has been fun to have so close to our house. Yesterday my daughter wanted to get a nice spray for after P.E. She was happy with her purchase but when we got home we realized the sprayer wasn't working. I dropped her and her friend off at the store today to exchange it while I went to run an errand. She was told by the cashier that she couldn't return the item without an Id. She is 12 and had the receipt. The manager confirmed that she couldn't exchange the item without an id. This is one of her first experiences handling her own business and she was shot down by ignorant people. I called the store and talked to Elle, who said she didn't know she had a receipt. I went to the store last Friday to grab a birthday gift for my niece. I'm always greeted warmly when I go to the store and most of the time, I don't engage and prefer to look around by myself. This time I communicated what I was looking for and the sales girls were amazing! Not only did they help me find a gift, they wrapped it it an iridescent type cellophane and tied a happy birthday sanitizer to the top. It was absolutely perfect and such a hit when it was actually opened. On top of that they were fun & kind. Always a great experience but this one was above & beyond. Good customer service. Greeted at the door. Knowledgeable employees. They tell you the deals so you got the most for your money. I was gifted a gift card from a friend. I finally was able to use my gift card on a need for glitter or shimmer lotion/spray. They had a sparkle spray. It's very light and comes in many different scents. I also bought a mason jar candle for six dollars. The discount is more than half. The scent I choose was chai latte, smells super good want to eat and drink it! read more

I miss the former staff. I miss Lucy and Allison. I think I will start shopping the UTC store where I know at least one of them went. I love the products and they keep me coming back but the new staff is a bit "put out" at times when I need assistance. Also, they have me on a list to call me when there is a sale and they never do. I shop there so much that the last staff knew me by name. I am not high maintenance nor do I need special attention but when someone shops at your store and recommends everyone they know to it, then at least be nice. I went in for holiday shopping and had to ask for my gift to be wrapped in the clear wrap and the girl acted annoyed and then made me wait while she serviced the people behind me. Wow. I waited my turn, and I felt very bothersome for requesting a service that they not only offer, but are supposed to offer with every transaction (and, she didn't). Also, I did not recieve my monthly coupon mailer but they did not want to honor them for me. I had to ask, get a manager involved and so on. Really? Like I said, I miss Allison and Lucy and the other girls that worked there at that time. I wish they would not shuffle staff as they do. Will I be back? Yes. Best products, period. I just came in this Bath & Body Works with my mother Lisa and we were looking for a plug-in air freshener and a mini perfume. We were VERY kindly greeted by a nice lady named Alex. She didn't push any products into our basket like an annoying worker would; and I greatly appreciate that. She gave us very good support while picking a scent and style of air freshener. Another worker that deserves recognition for being extremely helpful is Stacy. She introduced us to many new scents and deals we could use.
