Being in a beautiful home away from the city is what I needed (and the great sleep I had showed that)! The breakfast was superb both days and they even packed us a to go breakfast for the one day we went to the park early. I will definetely be back and bring friends and family with me!

The place is super dog friendly, they even have a ranch dog on site to welcome your puppy. The main house is the bed and breakfast, and is decorated expertly to invite all who enter a charming and warm welcome. And while the trip into Yosemite National Park, with our reservation and $20 was a complete and total disaster, the time we spent in Groveland more than made up for it. The caretakers cabin does not offer the breakfast part of bed and breakfast, but we were still treated to home made cheese cake prepared by our hosts and it was just ever so tasty. While we were enjoying a lovely cross breeze threw the cottage, a guest puppy found us and invited himself in for a bit of a quick sniff before his mom found him with his new friend Bernie(that's our dog). Our stay was just wonderful. Just a thought, the upstairs bedroom with its queen and 2 twin beds (all done in very comfortable and warm décor) does have steep steps on the outside of the house, not a problem for us, but could be an issue for anyone who is mobility challenged. We were also entertain by the abundance of non-human entertainers, there were horses, a pig, and some turkeys tending to there newly hatched babies. The morning song birds announcing the day were music to my ears, and the abundance of bees and butterflies gave me hope for our planet that all is not lost. after the past year and the pandemic, this little gem did the trick at changing my perspective back to a place of hope and goodwill. I highly recommend this to all you weary travelers.

We arrived to Sonora by way of Ebbetts Pass, winding down through crystal alpine lakes, faerytale meadows and boulders and forests that speak in quiet and ancient tongues. The pass opened upon amber grasses contrasted against lovely sagey-colored trees and verdant yet rugged vineyards. It turns out the Victorian-inspired Barretta Gardens is overseen with a care as golden as the hue of sepia-colored days gone past and motherlodes once legendary for their bounty. Yet breakfasts are as simple, elegant and memorable as any contemporary B&B can boast. The proprietors Astrid and Daniel run an inn as refreshing as the Moroccan mint tea set out every afternoon to greet us from a hot day exploring Gold Country. We found Barretta Gardens flexible and welcoming to our two boys as well. Our only suggestion is that if they choose to turn off each room's A/C while guests are away for the day that they would turn it back on in anticipation for their return in the evening. Baretta Gardens B&B is a rare treasure I hope more visitors to the area will mine for years more to come.

Our cabin was nice and clean and had board games for kids to play with. I liked the smell of their complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion that the lodge makes. There are also outdoor games like Bocce and ping pong tables. If you want to relax, the lodge has a large swimming pool, jacuzzi, and massage room. They also set up bonfires to enjoy s'mores in the evenings. We really enjoyed their All-you-can-eat BBQ night in the swimming pool area. The pool bar made delicious drinks. That was our hangout!! If you don't want the All-you-can-eat BBQ, there's a restaurant at the lodge to order food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) or you can buy snacks at their General Store. They also sell beer and wine. The General Store has souvenirs as well. Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite also offers glamping tents, a laundry room, bike rentals, and fun classes for adults and children, for example, if you wanted to learn glassblowing. You can also book tours from the lodge. Our toddler enjoyed the kids' playground and I enjoyed the zip-line. The lodge is less than 20 minutes away from Hetch Hetchy Reservoir with beautiful views of a waterfall and it's a 17-mile drive to Yosemite National Park. We look forward to going back next summer and staying at the same location. A must visit Yosemite!! Happy Yelping :)

Unfortunately, no one has been able to assist me when I call. I was told that I needed to email the restaurant manager, Rachel T., but she has not responded to any of my emails. I also left a voicemail, which has not been returned. What happened today was especially unacceptable. I called and spoke with an assistant manager named Sarah. I explained my frustration and asked whether she could assist me or connect me with the restaurant manager. I also explained that one of the reasons we chose this lodge was because it could accommodate our group and had an on-site restaurant, which is especially convenient when traveling with multiple families and children. Sarah's response was shockingly rude and unprofessional. She laughed aloud and said, "You booked here for this restaurant, not to see Yosemite?" I then asked to speak with a manager because her response was completely inappropriate. Before the issue could be addressed, the call was disconnected. After nearly a month of unanswered emails, an unreturned voicemail, and this extraordinarily disrespectful interaction, I am extremely disappointed. Rush Creek Lodge urgently needs to retrain its managers and assistant managers on basic professionalism and customer service. This level of treatment is unacceptable.

This place was a gem to find! It has four beautifully furnished rooms with super comfy beds. The linens and bedding are top quality. Everything was clean and fresh. We had the Yosemite Room in the back. It is large and has its own bathroom and is really quiet. The front room also has its own bathroom, plus a balcony that faces the Hotel Jeffrey and "downtown" Coulterville (about 10 buildings). The other two rooms share a central bathroom. The kitchen and dining area are fully stocked with everything you need to make breakfast. You can put your own food and drinks in the fridge. Its basically like a house upstairs. Again, everything is in nice condition, clean and ready for you. Fernando pays attention to every detail. He lives downstairs. He owns the antique store downstairs and the saloon across the street. So he is always available. Coulterville is a cool little spot at the southern end of the wine country/gold rush country of Highway 49. We have been back to see Fernando and stayed two nights in March. We really loved it. Thanks Fernando!!
