Renters beware. We rented through YRR over the 4th of July weekend and could not have had a worse experience. House was dirty, garbage had not been taken out, and we lost power for nearly 3 days. Rented one of their houses through Airbnb. Check in process was awful, customer service was insane, and value was a huge ripoff. First, they would not take my word on dishes left in the dish washer when I arrived. They had the audacity to charge me for not putting away dishes though. They took their cleaners word, which is such a personal insult. Not to mention, their cleaners left a note asking for tips on check in....I already paid a $450 fee. Seriously? Their cleaning procedures aren't safe with COVID. They don't sanitize dishes after previous tenants, I'm sure the tenants aren't wearing gloves to put them away. The blankets aren't washed, only the bedsheets are. In this day and age, this is concerning. The house itself was beautiful, but the whole check in/out process and having to deal with their customer service was agitating. Never have I felt so insulted by airbnb hosts. Not to mention, the booking was over 2.5k...way to slip in more fees afterwards. I dealt with both employees and the owners themselves. Truly disappointed and would never recommend. read more

This company is a one stop shop for all your real estate needs. My fiance and I wanted to rent a property in Groveland and Tara assisted us to do so and we locked a property within a week. She gave us the best available options and we were thrilled about our decision. When we entered the property, we were in complete awe. The property was immaculately done. Do not use this company for booking any rentals. (1) You won't be notified about the fire evacuation order and area being inhabitable (when travelling with kids) ; (2) You won't be able to cancel your trip if anything happens (regardless if you get insurance or not); (3)If you get a credit, you won't be able to choose your desired dates (even if there are vacant properties); (4) to cancel your trip, you will be advised to go through insurance; and (5) once you cancel the trip, the insurance doesn't apply. Please read all the policies as we lost almost 7k for a trip. We travel every year to PML (a group of 15 people), and we didn't experience so much frustration and disappointment. There are so many other ways to book your trip, please do not use this company. read more

We enjoyed the house we stayed in @ PML this summer but I will never use this rental agency again. We paid nearly $4,300 for a week rental of a "large home" through YRR. The fees they charge are outrageous, for example here were our charges: Rental $2,973 County Tax $297 Reservation Fee $238 Travel Insurance $270 Damage Insurance $50 Cleaning Fee $295 Parking Fee $60 Administrative Fee $100 Total $4,283 As you will note, Administrative (non-rental fees) are about 25% of the total cost. The second to last day of our stay I almost fell through a broken dryrot deck board (this deck is 30' tall). No offer to offer a credit or even an apology. The response from the YRR office was "gee I think the owner had just updated the deck, we will have to have him take another look." To top it off, 2 months after our stay they charged my cc: $100 because they say I returned the key to the office at 11:20 in the morning of departure instead of 11:00 (hence another $100 fee). No call or itemized invoice to claim the additional $100, they just took it from my cc: I called YRR office to inquire about fee and received no response. Contested fee with cc: company (Yeah! Capital One) and after cc: rep spoke to YRR owner to try to resolve dispute, they were treated so rudely that they agreed to reverse charge to my account. Arrogant and unresponsive staff in my opinion, I was treated more like a sucker than a guest. Find other rental outfits in this area would be my suggestion if you are interested in the region. read more

We just finished a 2 week stay at Camp Wyckoff in Pine Mountain Lake. For the most part, it was very nice and we enjoyed our time. I didn't have any problems with YRR and they were responsive and friendly. The cabin itself was beautiful, but not totally without its quirks. That's probably to be expected renting someone's place, so I didn't let it bother me. But I tend to be easygoing and maybe it would bother someone else. So, just in the interest of "buyer beware", here are a few notes on the CAMP WYCKOFF cabin: *You can't tell it from the pictures, but there is not as much space as I was expecting between cabins. It was ok and it was very quiet, but I was used to my cabin at Pinecrest which is a little more secluded. This is a little like a housing development. *When we arrived, the place stunk like rotten eggs. The smell went away, but then came back every so often. It was coming from outside. I think it is some kind of septic issue? It wasn't there 99% of the time, but when it was there, it was gross. *The TV / DVR / surround sound setup is ridiculous. My boyfriend is (luckily) an electronics guru, so he figured it out, but I wouldn't have been able to. Even when we picked up the keys to the place, they mentioned it was a little complicated to use the tv. They should really fix that if they are going to expect others to figure it out. Or print up some directions if they know people have problems. *Don't expect a lot of channels on the TV. The satellite TV package they have is very limited, mostly shopping channels and infomercials. No ESPN (my bf was bummed). *The washing machine is the tiniest one I have ever seen! I could only do about 5 articles of clothing at a time. This was ok for the 2 of us, but if you packed the place full of people for a week and wanted to stay on top of laundry, it might be annoying. *The 2 person whirlpool bathtub is very nice EXCEPT when you run the jets, it spits out clumps of other people's hair! Ew! I think the filter needs to be cleaned? Anyway, it's ok if you don't run the jets. That's it. Please don't get the wrong idea from my notes - the place is very nice. I was on call for work part of the time and the internet was very fast and dependable. We liked the fact that the cabin wasn't decorated with a bunch of goofy moose and bear quilts like most of the other places we saw online. The decor is very modern, simple, and nice, which helped me feel peaceful and relaxed. Overall, I would recommend this cabin unless you are a perfectionist. read more

My friends and I recently rented the Luxury 5 bedrooms house in Groveland (Casa Knutson) on Airbnb. Yosemite Region Resorts oversee this rental property. The location of the place was prefect and the house was spacious however it was extremely dirty. Tara from Yosemite Region Resorts felt my expectations of cleanliness was unrealistic however I informed her that luxury does not mean layers of dust on most light fixtures and windows, spiderwebs in corners of bedrooms, dirty shot glass in sink, broken door handles, chipped paint on walls, broken tiles on stairs, dirty shower door, dirty patio furnitures (bbq grill was covered with years of food particles), and a block of ice on the entry staircase (my friend slipped on it). Tara basically responded to my low rating of cleanliness on Airbnb that the house was 3,600 sq ft therefore it's difficult for them to do a deep cleaning between guests. First of all, you guys had plenty of time to clean the house because the housekeeper actually told me she was supposed to clean the house the "day before" I check in however she felt it was too cold to do her job. She waited until the very last minute to do her cleaning. I arrived at 3:30pm and the housekeeper was still cleaning. This is the most ruthless heartless company I have ever encountered. There is a major fire in the near area and the air quality is reported as unhealthy and hazardous. This company is refusing to allow us a refund on our $2500 family vacation we booked a month ago. The air is covered in smoke and toxic particles, there is no way it would be safe for us to take our children to this. They still refuse to refund anything. This is a greedy company. You wont be disappointed! I take my wife and son to Yosemite every spring/summer. We had never stayed in Groveland/Pine Lake and thought we would try something new. Well, that was the BEST decision we have ever made! We rented "Camp Wyckoff" from YRR and all I can say is WOW! The cabin was perfect! I dont think it could be any cleaner than it was. And it had EVERYTHING one could need. Big TV, Surround sound, Cable, WIFI, FULL kitchen with everything you could need. Awesome bathroom, large patio, garage, fans in every room. I could go on and on and on... Ive rented cabins all over the Yosemite area and nothing beats YRR's rentals! TRUST ME! Im picky too! I like nice things! Where else can you get a house sized cabin for less than what a typical hotel room cost? You cant! This is the place to rent from people. It really is! I worked with Tara and she was very nice. Not pushy at all. And had everything perfect for us when we came in to pick up the keys. I walked in and right back out in less than 30 seconds. Then when we opened the door to our cabin, we found a REALLY nice goody bag of all kinds of things in case you forgot anything. It had a ton of stuff and the bag was nice too. (Thanks YRR!) We have rented a lot of cabins in the Yosemite area and none of them (even ones inside the park) compare. It was that nice that I felt compelled to sign on with Yelp JUST to write this review. Stayed 2 nights at better on the Lake house. It's very convenient and so close to Yosemite. The staff was very responsive. It's worth it and they're up front with the fees. The only negative part was that neighbors came to drop off their garbage in the bins for this property which was upsetting. It didn't take away from the convenience of being so close to Yosemite and lake front views! I will definitely book with them again! We rented a cabin through Airbnb that was managed by this company and wow was I surprised by their lack of professionalism and terrible customer service. There was a mix-up with our passes to get into the guarded community where our cabin was and instead of trying to be helpful and come up with a solution to our problem this company basically shut us down and told us to solve the problem ourselves in not so nice terms. They were extremely rude and unhelpful. AND as many other people mentioned in their reviews, this company adds a ton of hidden fees and charges so be warned your bill WILL be more than you expected.... As someone who has worked with many different vacation rental companies, this one is by far the worst. There are many other great companies in the Yosemite area. read more

This company chooses to violate Airbnb policies and will cancel your booking if you question them. They require an additional registration form which includes your Credit Card information, Airbnb specifically told me that they are not allowed to do this. When I brought it up them my booking was cancelled, they claim it is because I am not 25 when I will be well over 25 when the actual stay occurs. read more

The homes offered are nice, but the customer service is very poor and the lodging is quite expensive. In addition to the rental price, linens & towels are $25 additional cost per bed/person. Also, they require a pretty significant cleaning upon checkout in addition to the $175 cleaning fee. We had a poor experience working with staff and would not recommend this company for vacation rentals. read more

We rented a beautiful home at Pine Mtn Lake after the 4th. The home and location were great but the house was so dirty we did not want to sit down, use the kitchen or sleep in the beds. The carpets and sofa badly soiled. Beds had no mattress covers and threadbare sheets. We paid extra for Covid-19 cleaning and were so disappointed. Felt a bit ripped out. Wrote to this company. Thx us and said they would look into it after our stay? Buyer beware. read more

we love YRR!!! we have stayed in a fantastically wonderful and may I say ridiculously affordable home up in pine mountain lake 2 times now over the past 5 months. Both times were magical, and the people who work at YRR are warm, friendly, and very accommodating. You will not regret a vacation in one of their many properties. There is a home to fit everyone's need/wants...from fireplaces, to hot tubs, to pool tables...and the little town of Groveland is very quaint and remote, yet it is a quick 30 min drive the the much larger town of Sonora...and only 25 min to Yosemite!! read more

I usually only write positive reviews. My experience with Yosemite Region Resorts was so bad that I had to write this. I don't think I have received worse service ever. Certainly not when renting a vacation home. Lakeview Hideaway on Bigfoot Court is not "waterfront" as promised. Worst of all, the overwhelming smell of mold and "Febreeze" type air freshener to cover up the musty smell was unbearable. It took them 2 days after we arrived to call and tell us it was "cleaned" to their standard. Our standards of cleanliness are very different. When we wouldn't move in, they still were only willing to reimburse part of our money paid. They claimed to have made it available on Monday to help us get our money back, but didn't show it as available until after Wednesday night. They wanted to charge us their registration fee and 2 nights stay. Plus, they charged us all of the fees to move us to another location for one night including $125 cleaning fee for 30 minutes of cleaning. read more

We have used Yosemite Region Resorts several times for vacation rentals at Pine Mountain Lake. The homes were well cared for, safe and in good condition. The YRR staff is professional and always available even after normal business hours in case of emergency. Our rental properties were clean and ready for us to settle in and keys were left at the appropriate place and time as promised for our arrival. We are returning again this summer and plan to use YRR for our rental accomodations at PML. We love YRR AND GROVELAND ! :) read more

Stayed in a lakeside house on Pine Mountain Lake this past weekend, the particular property known as "Cottage on the Lake". I really wish we had stayed a whole week instead of 3 nights because we had such a great time! The lake was beautiful and so was the house. Great views and great fishing. Rented a boat from the marina for a very reasonable price and caught a mess of trout and the largest bass of my life (9 lbs, 3oz)! My teenage daughter and her friends had a great time sunning and swimming. Everything was exactly as promised in ad description. Dealt with Shirley in the office for reservation etc., she is courteous, helpful, and prompt- excellent customer service! Honestly I never hesitate to complain but I simply have no complaints about YRR, or the house they rented us. I think we'll be back next year. By the way, I noticed someone in an earlier review complaining about the cost of the optional linen service. The service is optional so simply bring your own towells, blankets, etc. if you want to avoid this fee- duhhhh! read more

Tara went above and beyond for us! My family (me, my husband, my 3 and 6 year old) planned an overnight camping trip in the PML campground. When we arrived we were very disappointed in the campsite. There was a steep cliff right next to our picnic table (did I mention we had two little ones?) and the bathrooms were far away. Add to that the wasps and the hard ground to drive stakes in - and my husband and I were ready to rent a house! I called at about 2 minutes until closing - with very patchy reception I think the call dropped at least three times. Tara picked up and for the next 15 minutes worked with me across several dropped calls (gotta love the mountains) to quickly get us into a home. Because there was a local fire, many homes were rented by firefighters - she even checked to see if the hotels in the area were booked! There were two homes left, and of course both were 2 day minimum rentals (per the homeowner) but we figured it was better than ONE night at this campground. After giving us several discounts because of our situation, Tara then stayed late after hours to get us set up and signed in. We ended up having a great time: s'mores on the back deck instead of in front of a tent, sleeping bags on cozy beds instead of on rocky ground, and a bonus room for the kids to play in instead of falling down a cliff. Two thumbs up!! We have used this company for 4 rentals and have been pleased each time. Yes the cleaning cost is high, but they all seem to be. And I appreciate the bag full of goodies, I think it is very thoughtful and I always find myself rifling through it for something I forgot. I would recommend this company to a friend. read more

We didn't know much about the area and her 1st hand knowledge was essential in choosing our perfect home. There are area specific issues she helped us navigate. Miriam has been such a great resource post purchase of our home with great recommendations for everything from plumbers to locksmiths. Her clients are very important to her! Her communication was great she was instrumental in navigating some difficult closing circumstances. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a house in the area! read more

While I certainly expect paperwork when renting any property it felt like we were signing our life away. The unit we rented, 20002 Dunn Ct is incredible. Great rooms, great layout, beautiful yard, with all the amenities you could ask for. However, the front bedroom while being the biggest has no fans and only one floor vent. Needless to say stuffy at night was an understatement. My wife had to sleep in the game room every night. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, but...I'm 6'3" and had to jump up into the bed. Lol makes me think of the story princess and the pea. Minor issue for such an amazingly comfortable mattress. The kids had an absolute blast and the tree swing was a huge hit. The dock was great but very unstable, half of the dock is tied rather then truly secured and my stepfather fell, my kids fell, and I almost fell a couple times. It has its own beach with powdery sand that the kids really enjoyed and a bocci court. The rental agency SUCKS!!! 3 days before our arrival, there was a sewage spill contaminating the lake. We were never notified or given the option to reschedule or cancel for a refund. As a result my kids spent 2.5 days out of 4 unable to swim!!! $3300 for a lake house and they couldn't swim in 100 degree heat. I could have stayed home and used my pool for free!!! We should have been notified but they wanted to keep that money didn't they!!? Did they offer a partial refund, and/or complimentary passes, dinner, etc, or even a genuine apology? Nope! Nothing but a "what can you do?" Well you can be a lot more professional that's what. While the home was beautiful, the lake view beautiful, and the amenities great, the rental agency basically told us to deal with it. Oh, and the lake marina sold us 7 boxes of dead, putrid worms!!!! Really!!!?? So the house gets 5 stars, the sewage spill, dead worms, failure to notify, and no offer of even a partial refund/compensation or rescheduling earns this company one star...at least they had the key ready. One more thing; don't leave a note asking us to basically clean the house when we leave so the housekeepers don't have such a hard time and then ask us to leave a tip if we feel like it when there is dust on just about every surface. While the house was presentable it certainly wasn't spotless nor were the beds made. I thought $90 for linen service meant they would be put on the bed not just stacked at the foot of the bed for us to do. Motel 6 costs $50 and their housekeepers actually make the bed! My husband and I rented a cabin for three night to take my 9 yr old grandson fishing. Worst nightmare the cabin was not lakeside or could you get down to the lake from the cabin. It was so steep and rocky my husband fell. It was not as advertised. The cabin was dirty outdated and infested with ants. The cleaning crew was there when we arrived and knew there were ants in the kitchen. If they didn't see the ants they should not be cleaning cabins. The next morning it was infested with ants. It took your appetite away. I emailed the rental agency and was told the month of July there is always an ant issue. They offered ant traps. The cleaning service came and put ant traps in the kitchen and they were almost gone the day we were going home. Although my husband placed the ant traps outside around the cabin. The whole unfortunate circumstances ruined our trip. I don't recommend this rental agency they seem to think the conditions were normal after I spent $1000.00 for a cabin for three days that was not described properly, dirty, and it's not a lakeside cabin!!! read more

I would like to offer a perspective from an owner's point of view about the services that YRR provides with our vacation rental, Souzaville. Please understand that our home at PML was exclusively for our use as we live and work in the Bay Area. It became a financial consideration to reluctantly put our home into a vacation rental program. It was difficult to remove all of our personal effects from the home to the point that when we go up there now, we feel much as our vacation guests must feel. There are certainly other reviews here commenting about other properties that are not well cared for but that is not the case with our home. We want our guests to be as comfortable as possible when they visit in a wholesome, comfortable environment. We have taken care to decorate and maintain this home in the best manner possible. YRR has high standards for the type of properties that they offer - we try to meet those standards every manner possible. We selected YRR to represent us for the thoroughness of their service. Rob, Tara and Shirley are great managers. Make no mistake that their rental policies are complete and detailed. Their security deposit program and the linen rental program are unique. Their website is easy to use for reservations, the cleaning service is fantastic , the renumeration and detail accounting is spot on and they always are helpful and responsive. And, they handle ALL guest issues promptly without bothering the owner. They provide a wonderful service to property owners as well as our guests. I have come to know many property management services in my 35 years in the real estate business - none more accomplished and professional as Yosemite Region Resorts. read more

Yosemite Region Resorts does not require a huge deposit on their rental properties. I like that because another company I used in the area had charged us a $500 deposit (cash) which we didn't get back until after our return home. Yosemite Region Resorts has a reasonable one time fee for damage insurance rather than putting up a deposit. This procedure is so much easier on our budget and they have a multitude of really nice vacation homes available to rent. read more

Back for the second time using their services for a vacation rental in Pine Mountain Lake we were again very pleased. Not only the area is a different world - just outside Yosemite on Hwy 120 - but the people are well simply wonderfully friendly. We took advantage of the Spring Deal - buy 3 nights and get the 4th free, so our stay in a 3 bedroom house with it's garage turned into a playroom with ping-pong, table tennis and darts was a treat for the whole family. We even got a phonecall the day before warning us about the weather conditions, which was very thoughtful. So was the welcome bag full of goodies and stuff for the house so we didn't have to worry to get more supplies (like paper towels, dishwashing tablets etc). And to finish, the minor criticism we had about the house was listened to with very open ears by Tara, so I'm confident that they do take good care of the properties they administer. Our planned arrival was for 1:00 Pm and despite our late arrival around 3:00 PM our paper was not ready and we had to wait for more than an hour to get the keys. When we arrived at the house I noticed things were out of order their instruction specifies that outdoor furniture billows be kept inside but we found them outside we also found some dirty dishes in the dish washer I called the office and left a message, they called back the next day and said don't worry about just leave things as you found them. 1 month passed and I didn't receive my $600.00 security deposit I called the office and got the run around for 1 month, finally I was told there was some damage and they don't know how much I asked for exact description and photos but didn't receive any. After six month of phone calls they finally said that they will keep my security deposit to cover the damages and promised to send pictures and a list of damages which for three month after I still have not received. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I have never posted a review, but felt strongly that I had to warn people about this agency. We stayed at "A Tee at 12" & we've never been so stressed out & aggravated! It all started with the registration process, being hit with unexpected fees, unknowledgeable, rude, cold & harsh staff. We had issues at the front gate because they failed to put our names on the list or give us the address to the house, we had to wait 15 for it to get sorted out. The kitchen only had 1 available cabinet so we had nowhere to put our food. The refrigerator was leaking so our food was full of water. The ice maker was all taped up & not working. The Teflon pots/pans coating was all scraped up (a known cancer causing agent!). The other (very old) pots/pans were rusted, so we had no cookware. They did not tell us to bring garbage bags so we only had what was a the house. They told us that we could only use Pine Mountain Lake approved bags which cost $6.00 a piece! There wasn't an outdoor trash bin, so we had to drive our garbage to the local beach dumpster everyday. The bathrooms were gross! Hair, mildew, toothpaste splatter around sink, disgusting toilet hinges, wastebasket full of gross dirty water, garbage/used toiletries left. The smoke alarm went off every time someone took a shower. 2 of the three bedrooms did not have closet space or a dresser, so all of our belongings were on the floor. The furniture was old, dilapidated & dangerous! The beds were hard as rocks. The BBQ was disgusting & full of ashes. There was a cleaning brush but it had no bristles (they tell you you'll be fined if you fail to leave it clean & dump the ashes). The vents do not close properly, so the bedrooms were freezing & the rest of the house is hot. I do not understand what all the fees pay for! The house was certainly not clean, in fact we had to clean it to even feel comfortable! We left the house in better condition than how we found it! We paid way too much money for what we got, this was a terrible disappointment & it left us stressed out & frustrated. This was no way to spend a family vacation which we haven't been able to do in 4 years! We will NEVER use YRR again & would not recommend them! read more
