I've had 3 different issues with this bank but my most recent one is the Skowhegan online banking service. I pay my parents rent by putting their cash in my account and paying their rent through my cash app account. well I put 1800.00 in by breaking it up but before I left to go to the bank I counted their money and there was exact amount 1800.00 well the machine was acting up and kept spitting money out but at the end I didn't get 60.00 back but when i moved over to the other machine people were using the machine that wasn't acting right. well according to the woman I spoke to she said what happened was a penny jammed in there anyways to make my point the denied there was any extra 60.00. after their supposedly audit. 3rd times the charm for me. time to find a new bank. done with it. read more

Grate Credit Union! A little to tecnical maybe. Like opening acct 12 yrs ago talking to somone on computer screen in private room. New app update will not work with older Android phone. Do not have simple text banking for bal. Moved to NM like Elly D from Rio Rancho,NM review in 2010. Again I opened in 2014 I think. Now new name, website & App. Denighed me car loan in past BUT now almost perfect credit. APR was 7% vs a NM CU Otero 3.5% when I did get car loan in 2018. Collateral same SUV was also higher interest vs Otero since I owned SUV. Business is business nothing personal. Still grate CU get SS check by end of month not 3rd ALWAYS. Let me say this is a great credit union I have always had a good and positive experience. But today 11/07/2025. I stopped in at the lewiston branch to ask about mortgage or investment property loans was there someone to speak with or I can make appointment with. Lady teller asked the other lady that has her windows closed about helping she didn't look up and Said no we don't do that type here. I said you have CUSO business lending sign outside. She said nope, never looked up to give any help told me go to the website. That kinda pissed me off specially when there was other workers in other offices she could have asked for help. This use to be a great credit union. Then they did some upgrade last month. Fast forward . We have made about 7 calls spending hours getting our account working again like it use to. Not only that the mobile app now has such tiny fonts you can't read it. Just when I thought we were back to usual.. I found out diamond rewards isn't sending gift cards like it use to . It has been over a week and the rewards points were deducted. Their response... Make another call to some company named amplify. Stay away.. this place no longer has a stable system. read more

Five County provides profoundly great customer service in person. Working with people at the counter or sitting down with a loan officer, it is never a bother to work with them. They provide flexible solutions and seem to be able to offer loans and debt consolidation where others can't. However, the friendly customer service does not extend past the branch. Five County is very old fashioned. The personal customer service quality suffers on the telephone and via electronic communications. Often electronic communications left within the website go unanswered. The telephone support center is fairly unfriendly and will likely tell you that you need to write a letter or login online to complete your request. Examples: If you change your address you will need to: 1. Physically go into the branch location. 2. Send a notarized letter (at your own expense) If you want to request a lost/replacement debit card you will need to: 1. Physically go into the branch location. 2. Login to the website and request the card. If you want to close your account you will need to: 1. Go into a physical branch. 2. Send a notarized letter. You cannot complete these transactions online/on the phone, like you can with other banks. They assure you that this is for your own protection, but it does make it harder for me to access my money, seeing as I moved out of state. This coupled with primitive website really makes Five County show its age. My advice: Close your account if you leave the state or if your local location is eliminated. I love going to Five County Credit Union. The staff is always friendly, and they have many locations opened till 8 pm inside the Walmart Supercenters. I opened my kids accounts there 15 years ago, they've both moved out of state, to attend college, it's great (not really for me) that in an emergency I can deposit money into their account if necessary. read more
