    Drink & Peanuts

Five Guys is one of those places you hear about from EVERYONE. All I heard was how awesome it was for what seemed like forever. Everyday on the way home from work it taunted me when I passed it to come on in and try it. So today, before catching a flick with my hubby, we stopped in for a couple burgers and some fries. I like that the menu is short and sweet (or savory in this case). And the fact that they have big boxes of in the shell peanuts for you to snack on while you are waiting on your order is a nice touch. It is counter service and the seating area reflects that - tables and chairs with a refill station and condiment station - well ketchup. When they call your number you go and pick up a big brown bag with grease soaking through it. I am not complaining :) I like a greasy burger! So I am ready to be impressed. We opened the bag to see a bag FULL of fries. We got 2 orders of reg. fries (which is a little cup), but they fill the bag with fries. Seriously. Tons!! The burgers are wrapped up in foil and when you open them up you are greeted with a two patties of meat, 2 slices of cheese, whatever toppings you chose (jalapenos, onions, tomato in my case) and a white bun. I couldn't wait for the first bite, and after sinking my teeth - eh, good. Not great, not the best, but a solid burger. The fries were next - these are probably the best part. Fresh cut fries with just a bit of salt. Simple, salty, beauty. For the convenience and value, Five Guys is a solid deal. I suppose it was just built up too big to meet my overblown expectations. Still I plan to go back and try it again. I can hear those fries calling my name!

    Bacon (double) cheeseburger with mushrooms

Best burger I've had in Denver so far! As long as you remember that you are in a BURGER JOINT, theirs are pretty tasty. I had the bacon cheeseburger, which is actually a double. They cook it to order, so it might take a little while to get your grub, depending on how long the line is. The fresh cut fries are pretty good - huge portions! Tasty! The have a long list of free toppings, including grilled mushrooms! Most places would either have some sort of shroom burger or charge extra for that. Kudos for the toppings! I got the grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce and mayo. The toppings were falling off when I opened the foil wrapped handful of cheesy, bacon-ey goodness. Tasty! Not quite In 'n Out, but did I mention - Tasty!

Good burgers and delicious fries. My only suggestion is that they melt the cheese on a cheeseburger. I like metled cheese on a cheese burger

Good burger, pricier than fast food--so be prepared, and a little more out of the way than advertized when returning from the Airport.

Looking for a good hamburger place and this wasn't it. The burger wasn't that good and the fries were even worst. In N Out is way better.

We were staying in a hotel close by and decided to get some quick food. We are from the Midwest and…read moredon't have a slim chicken in our area. Honestly? I'm ok with that. Raising canes, Dave's hot chicken, heck even DQ chicken basket is better than this place. The food here is not bad by any means, but it's not worth the money for the little chicken you get! The sauces were pretty decent and the strawberry cheesecake jar was pretty good. We originally order the banana cream jar but the guy at the front seemed pretty bent on getting us to order the strawberry one, so we did. There is free parking, and the inside was clean. You order your food, sit down and they will bring it to you. I was watching and it seemed like they were forgetting parts of peoples orders quite frequently... we did not have this problem but our baskets did come out and different times, even though we ordered the same thing. If you're in a pinch, yes the food is fine. Honestly I would look for a place where your dollar goes further though or the quality is higher!

The manager was friendly and greeted us right as we walked in and we had no wait for ordering. We did a 5x5 with an Oreo shake. This is 5 chicken strips, 5 wings, fries, and we upgraded our soda to a shake. The food came out quickly, and the chicken was good. I ordered the wings garlic Parmesan in a panic and there was straight up cheese on my wings! The strips were unsauced, which was a little weird. The fries were cold and we didn't end up eating them. Overall, the chicken and the service were the stars for sure.

Excellent Happy Hour deals and variety of wings, tenders, salads, sandos, and apps. Big fan of the 2-fer Happy Hour. The atmosphere is good and a chill vibe. I believe they good in beef tallow...I'm not a fries guy but the fries are great and I don't feel weighed down after eating a hearty fried meal. Great self-served drinks with sweet tea, so you know it's legit. Only thing I would change is maybe a wider range of healthier options, but ditto that for any Chicken place or fast casual. You can still eat healthy and they have a choice of sides such as Mac/cheese, slaw, etc. This one in Aurora was a Jim N Nicks BBQ and I swear they make the same muffins. Delish!

First, when we walked in, there was nobody in the front so we were just kind of standing there waiting for someone to greet us. The young man who did eventually greet us was nice and asked us if we were ready to order. Since we'd never been there, we didn't know that the concept is to order your food before you are seated and since we were totally unfamiliar with the menu, we were holding up the people behind us so he gave us some menus and we just kind of stood to the side until we knew what we wanted. The order counter is off to the side of the entrance and seating area and is kind of in the bar area which I thought was oddly placed. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and they were big and pretty good. My husband got the two piece dark chicken with collard greens and Mac and cheese, and I got the tenders and potato wedges. He remarked that the chicken was okay and the collard greens and Mac and cheese did not have much flavor. I tried his Mac and cheese and it seemed old and lacking in cheese or sauce. The chicken tenders were good but the potato wedges tasted old and not hot. The worst part for me though was that the tables are sticky - not because of something that was spilled but rather because of the varnish so it gives the impression that they are dirty. Also, when I used the women's bathroom, it looked like the stall doors have never been wiped down which totally grossed me out. Even though the food wasn't necessarily bad it isn't remarkable compared to any other chicken establishment, and the hype about the sauces seemed unwarranted. The BBQ and honey mustard sauces were way too sweet and the jalapeño ranch was devoid of ranch in my opinion. However, he main reason I wouldn't return is more because of the sticky tables and dirty bathroom stall doors.
