I went to five guys for dinner tonight. I ordered two burgers, and some fries online. When I got home I unpacked the burgers and noticed that they were both completely wrong. I asked for a cheese burger with no onion and they put no cheese and added the onions. I called the store and was explaining the situation, a young man answered and immediately handed the phone off before I finished explaining what happened. A young lady then answered the phone. I explained what happened, she said they would remake my order, so I had to drive back to the store. When I got there the young lady with glasses came to the counter as I gave the burgers back, this young woman decided to argue with me about the burgers for another 10 minutes. She kept arguing that the burgers weren't wrong, she was disecting the burgers to try and prove me wrong.This was very frustrating and so unprofessional. When you have a craving for a solid old school burger and fries, five guys is always a good choice. The simple menu means you know they are going to do the thing right, and the plethora of condiments means you can make the burger your own. As others note, it's a little pricy compared to fast food (and sometimes compared to sit-down restaurants depending on your order) but that's part of the deal. This location is fairly large, some outdoor seating if the weather is nice which is a plus. It was a little slow when we went in, they were trying to keep up with the fry demand but that just meant a little wait and crispy fresh fries. read more

Ordered the burger over $10 added fries over $5. Burger comes with a lot of toppings I asked for all except mushrooms. Three very small pieces of lettuce almost as if that was an item that was and afterthought .Fries were soggy. Drink was ice tea don't like sweet tea they offer gold peak unsweet one says sweet other green tea. Green tea was choice but it was sweetened too although it was not signed that way. I don't want to say I have unhealthy love of Five Guys, but when I saw the Five Guys sign early this week while at the bank, I actually texted my husband. I couldn't wait to get home to tell him, he had to know right then :) We came over on Saturday and it was open, so we popped in for lunch. Less then an hour after they opened the doors and the place was hopping! They were moving through the line well and since it was newly open it was nice and shiny. Burger and fries where fresh and delicious. The space age Coke machine what the zillion flavors was awesome, as always. All in all it was great! We met the owner and he pitched the milkshakes. Apparently they are one of the few locations that have them and they use fresh ingredients, not just ice cream and milk, but fresh strawberries or bananas, or whatever you want! Plus you can add bacon to any milkshake - OK, I don't get that, but you can! Love the new addition to Southlands. It will be in the regular rotation. Very poor service today. I made an online order, arrived at the estimated time it would be ready and was told it would be a few more minutes. I check in every few minutes telling 3 different employees I was there. I figured after 10 minutes total, I would just wait to the side. 3 of them knew I was there ready for my order so I figured they'd let me know when it's ready. I waited another 10 or more minutes, checked in and was told it's been ready and that I needed to let them know I was there. I said I did 3 times 20 minutes ago. I am an Uber driver and when I walked to 5 Guys at Prospect and Main st. I walked in and had to use the restroom first I smiled said hello and as I went around the corner the manager said sure you can use the restroom thank you for asking first and a snide sarcastic tone. I turned around and asked him why it would be a problem to use the restroom first and why did he find it necessary to be sarcastic and rude the first second I walked in. He began to cuss me out and I told him he was being rude and that was unacceptable. He then refused to give me the Uber eats order as a control tactic however he does not hurt me when he does that he hurts the customer and I pointed that out he did not care and continued to yell and berate me for standing up for myself. His name is Rick and I have it on video recording so I can send it to whom ever sees this and wants it. I'm gonna be 45 in a couple of weeks and I haven't been ever treated that poorly the first few seconds have walked into a facility. I feel that Rick has control issues and for some reason is unhappy in life and decides to take it out on others with sarcasm completely unacceptable I've never been treated like this and blown away that he thinks he's hurting me by not giving me somebody else's order to deliver it hurts the customer I get these deliveries back-to-back and doing nothing to hurt me it was a control tactic just like me not asking to use the bathroom and for some reason that offended him he should not be in charge of anything other than maybe working on his own mental health and ability to treat people the way he wants to be treated way to go Rick you hit a new low in my life thanks for that and management above Rick please consider putting him in a position that's not management he doesn't know how to talk to the general public in an appropriate manner at all whatsoever. read more

We ordered from here after our Smashburger experience was inedible. Placed an order, received a call that the restaurant had closed early due to a staffing issue. Tried to call back immediately to confirm charges would be reversed on my card, but nobody answered. Ill be watching my bill. The last three times we have ordered from here our orders have been wrong, but since Smashburger is such a fail, we go back since you can order online and pickup quickly. Five Guys literally opened today at Southlands with little fanfare. There was no announcements or anything, but when we drove by and noticed they were open, they were already packed. They never got un-packed the entire time we were there. The food was excellent, of course. The location is stellar - Southlands needed a good fast food restaurant. I thought the food came out a little slow, but it was hot and their first day so they get a pass on that. The franchise owner was walking around greeting people, which is always cool. Torn. Convenient location. Food is always fresh and hot. Outdoor seating. These would all be perks. The grouchy, un-personable staff, however, can be off putting. Especially in the off-peak hours after 7 pm weeknights. Overall, this will be the closest location to my new house so I guess I sorta have to like it. Not this time. 20+ min later I was leaving with a SINGLE burger order, no fries, no drinks. I'm willing to pay the $10 for a quality burger. This burger was BARELY better than basic fast food on cooking and they screwed up my additives. I wanted A1 sauce, Mushrooms and pickles. I got about 4 mushrooms, NO A1, and instead of pickles, got Green Peppers. I sincerely REGRET the tip I left. I will NEVER visit this franchise again. Thankfully, the franchise near my home knows how to make a quality product and experience. Seriously, I have paid $2 for a better product and experience.
