    A Wicked delicious burger!
    Harry M.

My son and I stumbled across Bob's Atomic Burgers online while looking for somewhere to meet up for lunch, and I'm glad we did. It's located in Golden, Colorado, right across the street from the world-famous Coors Brewery, so the setting is already pretty cool and scenic. Bob's Atomic Burgers has a great neighborhood-joint feel: small, cozy, clean, and eclectic, with interesting stuff on the walls and a fun local vibe. When we walked in, there was a table near the door with order sleeves and paper forms where you build your burger by choosing the meat, bun, cheese, free toppings, and extra toppings. They have a really good selection. I went with a single beef patty on a white bun with American cheese, pickles, raw jalapeños, tomatoes, green chiles, banana peppers, and a large fry. We turned in our order sleeves at the counter and ordered fountain drinks. When we mentioned it was our first visit, the staff gave us a very warm welcome. The young lady behind the counter explained a little about the place and how the ordering process worked, which was much appreciated. The burgers are made to order, so we waited about 10-15 minutes. Honestly, that worked out perfectly because indoor seating is limited, and during the wait we were able to grab a table. They also have outdoor seating, though it was raining when we visited. When the burgers came out, they looked amazing. I'd describe them as a cross between a smash burger and a traditional patty, and I really liked that. My burger was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and messy in the best possible way. The large fries came in the usual paper sleeve, but it was absolutely overflowing, and the fries were hot, fresh, cooked to order, and excellent. This was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had. Great food, friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and a local feel that big chains just can't touch. Skip the lame McDonald's or Burger King run and go somewhere that makes an actual great burger. Bob's Atomic Burgers is absolutely worth the visit.

Cooper Fisher: Alright, I went in expecting a lot, and Bob delivered. I started off with my vanilla shake and it was the best ice cream i'd had in my life (and boy do I know ice cream; I eat it all the time! ) It didn't take long for my food to come out. I got a cheeseburger with pepper jack and fries, and it was absolutely delicious. the burger was perfect, and the friess were golden and crispy. 10/10 deliciousness Springsteen

Long line, but completely worth it. Grilled chicken with all the fixings, pepper jack cheese, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed onions, banana peppers...so good!!!!

You gotta try. Fun Street art, and stickers, and license plates everywhere. Grab an empty burger "sleeve" and pick your burger type. Pay at register. Sit and wait. You get a receipt with a movie related name. They call out your "name" and deliver that "sleeve" to your table with your burger in it. Voted best burger the past 2 years. Sit inside or out.

YUM! Our uber driver, who was a local, drove by this spot on our way out of Golden... He pointed it out and said he drives 25-30 minutes out of his way to get a burger here... Naturally, we had to stop in for lunch the following day. He was not wrong! The wait staff was kind, we both ordered burgers with sweet potato fries and onion rings. The burgers were insane (good) and they loaded us up with sides of fries and rings - we had to take some to go. Very lowkey spot - we dressed in running shorts and tshirts and sat outside, looking at the Coors brewery and they bring your food right to your table. Overall, great experience and will definitely be back here!

Bob's Atomic Burgers is an interesting and unique little burger joint with solid food. We dined in after a nearby hike. We ordered the daily special burger, a regular burger, onion rings and a kids lettuce wrapped burger. My daughter has a dairy allergy and good thing the lady at the counter checked the ingredients of the bun because it contains milk. It's a small and funky little spot serving solid food.

The line out the door told me all I needed to know about this place. It's a simple, old school burger joint. The menu isn't extensive but what they do, they do it right. Seating indoors is limited but there's ample patio space to enjoy the scenery. After the lengthy wait to place our order, the food arrived shortly after and it was absolutely worth the wait. The four of us ordered fries and onion rings to share at the table and we all left satisfied. This place is a must stop if you enjoy a good burger.

From outside, this place does NOT look like somewhere that would have good food. My friend who lives in the Denver area suggested it and I was a little hesitant. When we got there, it was very busy with all the outdoor seating taken and a line out the door. Before getting to the cashier, you fill out a sleeve depending on what you want (burger, hot dog, or chicken sandwich). I got a burger, so I had to mark off what bun, toppings, and extras I wanted. At the cashier, you give them your sleeve and order any sides or drinks that you want. They then give you a random name for your order (I got Leatherface). When the order is done, they announce the funny name and bring the food to you. The burger was juicy and filling. I also shared fries and onion rings, which were both good as well. The fries were on the salty side, which I do like. Outside the restaurant has a view of the mountains and the Coors factory. Great price point and great food... can't beat that!

Good burger and sweet potato fries, with great customer service. Fill out what you want off the menu as you come in the door, then head to the counter to order and pay. Would definitely eat here again.

Delicious! Long wait that was worth it, if weather is nice it's a great experience. They have great salsa as well.

Bob's Atomic Burgers is always packed. There's always a line. Random movie stars, fictional characters and historical figures are bellowed throughout the small digs. IYKYK. Why would people wait? Why does anyone wait? The wait is worth it. Bob's prides themselves on simple ingredients, cooked to order every time, and nothing prepped in a hurry. Your patience will pay off. And no, you won't be waiting any longer than you would anywhere else. My burger was huge. That's my fault, though, as I choose more than a few yummy toppings. I could barely hold it in my hand. I also had a strawberry milkshake and loved the over the top creaminess. I left distended and smiling, haha. We love Bob's. We've never left disappointed. That says a lot all by itself. Def check them out. Simple food but amazingly good food.

Delicious! I liked that they had a whole wheat bun. The ordering process where you write on the burger wrapper worked great.

The staff was super nice and efficient but the sandwich was meh At the time I arrived they were already putting the chairs away because they were closing in a few, so I made a rushed decision: The Aspen Buddha (Turkey Swiss Curry Aioli Sunflower Seeds Lettuce Tomatoes Sprouts Banana Peppers Cucumbers). In my mind I was making a "healthy choice" but in reality I felt like I was about to eat a loaf of bread. I thought it seemed silly to pay only $2 less for a half a sandwich so I ordered the whole but then shamefully threw away most of the bread and ate only the innards which were also pretty boring. Even though I'm trying to keep my carb intake in check--I'm fully capable of for example enjoying a whole loaf of challah in one sitting if inspired but this wheat loaf did not inspire those kind of urges. As for the rest of the sandwich, it could have really used more curry aioli or something because I don't think I tasted that at all. If was ever forced to eat this same sandwich again I might ask for a side of vinaigrette, giardiniera, avocado. Something. The people were right: this was a dry sandwich. The reason I was even in Golden is because I wanted to test the feasibility of taking the W line to the Golden government center that is 2 miles from downtown and then riding my bike to have a picnic by Clear Creek. Turns out that yes, this is great with the understanding that the bike ride back to the light rail is way more intense when heading back to Denver. All uphill on my single speed! Without the Aspen Buddha, since it was 95 degrees or so I might have died had I not eaten/rehydrated. I am thankful for that. Also thankful for the life lesson about bringing my own picnic so I only have myself to complain to next time.

They were kind of just fatty pieces of barbecue meat. Still delicious and the sauces were great, but not really what I was hoping for. We ordered cheese curds, which were actually cubes and that is the first time I've ever seen shaped curds. They were pretty good, as was the sausage and mac & cheese, though the cheese sauce was a little thin. My mom had the focaccia grilled cheese, which had awesome flavors in it, but the focaccia itself was super thick. If we could decrease the bread by like half I think this would be an awesome choice. I think the main reason I would go to the Eddy is to hang out on their patio, especially when they have live music. It's a good view of golden in the foothills and its probably a great sunset spot. They also have a lot of good nonalcoholic options which we really appreciated - including nonalcoholic wine, which you don't see very often . I think I would stop back here on my way back from hiking or climbing in the canyon but I hope to be a little more impressed by the food next time.
