Today I had a very different experience as I was greeted by a stone-faced individual who was not very helpful. I asked for the same exact order as I always do, only this time the man behind the counter told me what I was describing was a basket, and he asked, "Do you want the basket with Hot dog and chili, with onion rings and french-fries? I said OK...but can i get some slaw to put on the hotdog" He said, I can give you a small slaw on the side. I agreed. But when my order came to my table, NO FRIES OR ONION RINGS. I said I was missing them and he told me I didn't order them. So I went ahead a placed an order for onion rings and fries. I waited, and I waited, and I finished my hot dog without the fries and onion rings...Then I thought I'll give them a few minutes more. I eventually left. I still love Ted's Coney Island, but the service has slipped. The customer is evidentially not the first priority. You might want to think twice about eating at Ted's unless you are willing to spell out your order and take a chance on something not being right.

Normally would give a 5 star for their menu, but had to notch it down a bit for the vegan burger. When I go to a burger place I want the full greasy experience. They have a vegetable forward burger that just doesn't mimic the real experience. So while I appreciated it, and it was solid and left me wanting more. Truly I just wanted a smash impossible burger with their seasoning. They also serve it on Texas toast, which I wish they'd have an actual bun too. Tots are vegan naturally, and they make great tots. Overall I love Lachele's, but with a few tweaks they could really nail it.

We are so glad we did. The atmosphere is a dicey but very clean and the vibe looks like a great time. It was a quiet afternoon but the ladies went out of their way to make us feel like we belonged. This visit was only for a couple of cocktails but we saw some food come from the kitchen and it looked on point!
