I have enjoyed eating at 5 Guys, until recently. I can't say that my experience is common because I don't know that. With all the fanfare coming into the place all around saying how wonderful this place is, gives a false sense of security to me. I am not sure why my experience this time was so critically awful but it is unfortunate. Although the service was standard of the current food industry here in El Paso, TX, the connection from website to currently available products at the location were a huge disparity. The inside of the store is like all 5 Guys, deadly to a person with a nut allergy, and not that unclean but it looked like it'd been a day or more since the floor had serious attention. My wife's Veggie Cheese sandwich was clearly overly-greasy and disgusting, and it straight for the garbage. My hamburger that I ordered did taste funny but I decided that it was just me. It was not. I ate nearly the entire burger until my body rushed me into the bathroom with a severe hamburger allergic reaction that sent my rear-end on turbo-flush. I spent the next couple days trying to get over the food poisoning and from that moment forward. After spending over $50, 5 Guys has been banned from any future business with us. read more

Every visit so far, they've incorrectly made our order and have taken way longer than any other 5 guys I've been to, keep in mind the restaurant is nearly empty. Cheeseburgers are my favorite when it comes to American Classics. Five guys is pretty damn good. This isn't for the weak or the ones who get full right away. If you want a mixture of a homemade burger flavor with a good amount of beef, this is your place! They make it fresh! Fries are also fresh and change the place where they get their potatoes which keeps them getting fresh product. Now, only con is that at times the bun can get soggy so don't wait too long to consume! Wish they would toast the buns. Fries are made perfect every time and with the right amount of salt. If there are 2 of you a regular order to share is good. Look. If you've been to one Five Guys, you've pretty much been to them all. Quality of fast food rarely varies from location to location. As some of you may recall, I reviewed my first one on George Dieter a number of years ago. Overall, I thought it was harmlessly okay, but nowhere near as epic as some people claimed. On that account, my feelings haven't really changed. In fact, I may be one of the only blokes who thinks the fries are better than the burgers. But that's not why I'm reviewing this location. There's two things I really like about the Fountains location in particular: the roominess of the dining area and the parking lot. Yeah! Both are surprisingly spacious. Which is shocking, given how abysmal it can be to navigate and park inside The Fountains in general. Other than that, my opinions on the food haven't changed much. The fries are seriously my favorite thing on the menu (even the Cajun ones), the burgers are just okay, and I still think the menu as a whole is pretentiously overpriced. One thing I didn't mention in my earlier review is how frustrating it is that this place only offers American cheese. It's like, you got all the toppings in the world offered to you....yet you can't change the kind of cheese on your burger. I arrived at the El Paso, Gateway location for my sons birthday with my family of 5. We sat at a table and was told we had to break our family up because they could only seat a table of four guest. I explained it was my sons birthday and was told to eat outside. I am at the end of my pregnancy and explained the 90+ degree weather wasn't good for me. He said sorry that's the rules. The bathroom was disgusting with feces all over the toilet, the ice machine was overflowing and it was filthy outside tables. When I asked him to wash the tables he was rude and irritated but there was pollen, dried ketchup and cheese all over the table. I am extremely upset that they then messed up our orders where I can only feel was intentional. My sons birthday was ruined, I felt sick from heat stroke by the end of the meal I didn't even finish. Ok, don't have much to say about this place, and no photos lol... First, let me explain my position and biased opinion. I do not eat hamburgers. No I'm not a vegetarian, I'll f*** some meat up Mayne! It's a long story, but hamburgers (not hamburger meat) but actual formed burgers patties on a bun, I will not eat. For 25 yrs now or so, haven't touched one. Soooo, with that being said: This is a Burger joint. It was slammed.. And everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. My wife enjoyed hers, which is why I have it 3 stars. Because she obviously liked it. I had a bacon cheese hot dog. Normal hot dog, crispy, like too crispy, bacon, cheese, normal bun. Now it wasn't bad, but wasn't like OMG wow... But again, my own fault... I went to a burger joint, looking for other than burgers lol. It's like going to Chicos and trying to get pizza. Lol. $20+. NOT fast food prices, but again I must say, EVERYONE seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their food. So if you like burgers, please check this spot out. I got to go from this establishment on 02/10/2023, when I arrived home and opened the foil the cheese was just oozing out. My eyes just glossed over with excitement. One bite of this burger and it had me wanting to punch the walls with how amazingly delicious it was. I would have thought little leprechauns were dancing on my taste buds. Five Guys isn't priced for every day fast food, but the burgers are quite good, albeit messy if you get a lot of toppings like I do, and the Cajun fries are absolutely fantastic, and you get a very generous portion even on their smallest size. Additionally, I've always loved the Coca-Cola freestyle machines, and luckily this restaurant has them. This location has a bit of a wait because of the fountains novelty, but not too much, plus you can get into the Wi-Fi from Starbucks next door ;-) read more

I just stopped by really quick to pick up food and as soon as I walked in an employee who was cleaning asked me how I was doing. It felt genuine and he was so nice. Then the cashier who was taking my order had the exact same awesome customer service and when I didn't order any drinks and was about to wait for my to go order, he offered me a cup of water while I waited. The food is tasty as always so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. The complaint is with customer service. What a horrible group! First off, when I entered to order, there was nobody at the register, then when someone finally did show up, he just walked up and stood there and after some time finally said a greeting, but there was that awkward moment of silence. Who taught these guys customer service or the lack thereof? They act like they were raised in a backwoods desolate farm area with no neighbors to greet. Finally after giving my order, I had to confirm with him that he got it right. Now, I'm accustomed to friendly greetings and an order confirmation where I come from, which is standard at In-N-out, The Habit, Roscoes Chicken and Waffle, Raising Cane's, WHATABURGER, wienerschnitzel, TGIF, Chick-Fil-A. Now how this place gets it all wrong!? Is beyond Me. So they call my # and I was craving the Cajun fries with the Cajun Louisiana Hot sauce that they usually have, that's what I have been offered in the past, that's what I like, so I roll with it. This time was completely different, I asked "can I have some of that hot sauce u guys usually have" the big heavy set male worker behind the guy working the fries responds and says "we don't have any hot sauce". I said "the hot sauce or Cajun sauce u guys usually provide", he then said "we don't carry any hot sauce, we only use the Cajun spice" at this point I was like C'mon man...I know u guys have a Cajun hot sauce u guys use. I get it back in LA all the time and the Five Guys back home in LA County have great customer service! Then he proceeded to say "the only hot sauce we use is this one". Which is precisely the hot sauce that I have been asking for. Now if your going to lie, at least apologize and admit your mistake and be a man about it, and carry on. So to say the least, Yes they do have the Louisiana style hot sauce I wanted. I don't understand how he got confused or didn't understand what I was asking but he provided me with the exact thing I was asking for; after he just finished saying they don't carry any. Cuckooo! Then after all this I had to wait for them to give me some in a little plastic dappen dish to go. Which he could've easily provided right away. Ok. Fine. I'll wait. Then the man who operates the fries gave me some. He asked if that much was okay. It was very little,about 1/4 of the volume of the plastic dappen dish. By this time I was frustrated, so I just said "it's fine" even though it clearly wasn't. I was expecting more, but instead of analogously pleading with a greedy, stubborn, unwelcoming child of sorts for the mere asking if I can please have some more, I just dropped the issue and left. It had been a while since I had gone to the Five Guys in the Fountains mall. My family and i decided to have dinner there instead of MooYah. (Which was also close.) But I feel like we made a mistake in doing so. We came in at 9:41, near closing time, in first place the establishment was freezing cold! After placing our order, we decided to dine outside. We then received our order, and I noticed that they had left out a few (5) toppings we ordered. I went back inside to let them know what had happened, and they gave me the remaining toppings separately (I consider they should have remade my order). At 10:05 I wished to go back inside to refill my soda but was denied access inside, and was denied when I asked for napkins. I am disappointed. read more

I haven't been to Five Guys in awhile! But I'm glad we went tonight. My fiance's dad is in town for work, and we decided to all eat here together. I got the veggie sandwich. It normally comes with lettuce, tomato, green peppers, mushrooms, and grilled onions. I took off the green peppers (I only like them raw), and added cheese, ketchup, and mayo. I know, it sounds weird. But it was sure good! We got a large fries to share. They told us the large was enough for four people. It was definitely enough for the three of us. And we got them Cajun style (yum!). If you aren't like me and you're actually going for a burger, their regular burger size is a double and their small one is a single. My fiancé and his dad really enjoyed their burgers. For dessert, my fiancé and I shared a milkshake that had Oreo cream and Oreo cookie pieces in it. You can't really go wrong with that! They have a lot of beverage choices as well because they have those touch screen soda machines. Those are always fun. All in all, we all got stuffed and really enjoyed it. After letting the man know it was my first visit, ordered a bacon burger, added several veggies, mustard. and added a regular fries. Those are some impressive fries. tooo bad the burger was a disaster. Asked for grilled onions, cant find them anywhere. The description does not say there is a slag layer of american cheese between the two layers of beef, cant pry that fake food off with a knife or a chisel or a sand blaster.
