Waiting time was not a problem, 20 min, once I saw why, the kitchen was in full force, people happily eating. I brought my youngest son here. We had our Saturday time together, and I told him I knew of this local gem. I let him know that my father and his father would come here after baseball games- as if it were a legend. While he reluctantly agreed - air doesn't look like much from the outside- he knows that places like this can be extraordinarily good. As we say I looked up the history and wow nostalgia and pride for an amazing lifetime the lord has graced me with. Tiny awesome spot! The kitchen is in full view of the tables, the dinning space isn't large so seating is limited (especially if you come in with a large party). Burger was simple and amazing. I will say the pattie was on the thinner side, so maybe ask for a double if you have a larger appetite. The Chili Fries were bomb, so were the Caldo Cheese Fries. I highly recommend either as a side. They offered both ketchup and green salsa as side condiments. The green salsa had hit of relish flavor, it was a bit weird but good nonetheless. Great Mexican American fusion. Plus try to show up after 1 pm since anytime before then is a bit crazy. There's also not enough parking so expect to park in front of someone's house and walk. I did get there at 1:30 pm on a Saturday so that's on me to wait almost 40 minutes for a burger. It was definitely worth the wait. I love a good smash burger and this is THE place for smash. Great burger, great folks working the place, great music (rock) in the background....but, it does take a little while to get your order. But, I think it's well worth the time. Nothing super fancy about this place, although it is a comfy joint, just good fries, burgers, and sauces. Love how a simple burger can have such a delicious taste. The wonderful onions on the burger the char taste of the burger itself. Yum!! Then there are two sauces that you have to try. One green and one red and they are not what you expect. Of course there is ketchup too but who needs ketchup with these other two delights! If you have never been....go!! If you haven't been in years, go back. Haven't been to Rosco's in a minute now. It's a small diner type place that's often crowded. It's an El Paso staple known for their burgers and even their green chile salsa. It's been around since 1955. If you're not craving a burger, they also offer hot dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches. Their menu is simple. My bf tells me it was one of his grandfather's favorite spots. He remembers going with him as a child. I also remember my parents taking me and my sister when we were kids. They thought it was super far driving from the eastside. Nothing is really that far in El Paso. Lol. Me and a friend were talking about people traveling anywhere for good food. This is one place you have to try at least once or twice if you're in El Paso. If you're into Whataburger, you'll probably enjoy their burgers. I'm not necessarily comparing the two in taste but I would say they're sort of similar in size. Rosco's has more of a homestyle taste whereas Whataburger is of course a fast food burger. I like my burgers with cheese, salsa or jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. No onions please! Everything is made to order here. Be patient! Check it out! read more
