There plenty of places to sit and you have a few choices of self serve condiments. Those who take our orders have been very polite. They've got good customer service at the registers. Cons; 1. They don't have anything but beef. No chicken, no options for vegetarians at all, unless you count the fries. 2. If you've got a peanut allergy, stay very far away from the restaurant. They use peanut oil to fry the fries. They also use refined peanut oil for their milkshakes. They even got peanuts out in the lobby to eat. read more

A solid three-star national burger franchise This particular location is conveniently located downtown Eugene & always seems to be well staffed and quick on the food draw. What I like about Five Guys in particular (aside from having a higher quality patty than say McDonalds &/or Co.) is the ability to downsize your patties, cutting some of the calories out of your otherwise delicious fast food cheeseburger. This Five Guys is not in the best neighborhood in town. My friend and I were supposed to meet with a realtor at Starbucks in the same plaza, but they were only open for walk up orders. Very poor staff and service. I ordered a $10.95 hamburger and it wasn't completely weeper with foil, the bun was tore and the condiments were falling out and getting on everything in the bag. I showed one of the workers and he offered to make me another one. I said no but that for $10.95 you should probably do a better job. His response was "why did you tell me then if you don't want another" to which I advised that customers that spend $10.95 just for a burger should probably get a little better service. Five Guys is good. My wife and I go here on occasion and they are consistent in food and service quality. The staff are always extremely friendly and the restaurant is clean. As for the food, you can expect to receive a greasy paper bag with a big, somewhat messy burger inside. The burgers are far superior to most other burger chains, but probably won't compete against your favorite hole-in-the-wall. The fries are average, but the shakes are fantastic! Ate here today and I have to say the Kosher Bacon dog was surprisingly good. The dog had mayo, mustard, ketchup, grilled onions abd raw jalapeños. I assume it is grilled since the dog had some oil glare on it wgich definitely adds more flavor veesus being boiled. I loved how they split the dog which allowed it to cover the bun completely which gave a balanced bun to meat bite. Overall they have great burgers and more. As for service it's ok. Try this place out if you can't find a hot dog stand to fill that craving. read more

I've eaten at five guys in about five different states. I generally love the product, but there seems to be some inconsistency in the way that the various restaurants pull off what should be amazing burgers. First off, let's get one thing out of the way - yes, it's a pretty expensive burger, but usually you get a damn good product for the 15 or so dollars that you pay. Today, I tried to five guys on seventh Avenue in Eugene. Disappointing. All the product was there - the various sauces and add-ons like tomatoes and lettuce - but the presentation and the end product didn't live up to what I consider to be the five guys potential. The bun was torn in a couple of places, like the preparer had put his thumb through the top of the bun as he prepared it and push the top down before wrapping it with the foil. The result was essentially a salad burger that couldn't be eaten by hand. I Ended up eating it piece by piece, losing the entire burger experience. Like I said, disappointing. Second, the fries, which cost about five dollars for a small order, were really greasy. I'm sure they use Great Idaho potatoes when they make them, but the greasiness counterbalanced any potato flavor. You get lots of so-so fries for $5. Finally, what happened to the peanuts?. Five guys is definitely one of our burger go to's and I love that they have online ordering now! Last week after the hubby had worked a long day and the toddler requested hot dogs for dinner, I remembered that five guys also does hot dogs. So I ordered a hot dog, a couple bacon burgers for us and fries of course! My burger and my daughters hotdog was just how we ordered. Unfortunately my husband's burger did not have any of his toppings or even the bacon. Being that we were already home and it was late I didn't want to go back to ask for it to be remade or anything. I did fill out the online feedback form just so that they were aware that they completely missed all toppings on a burger. We still enjoyed our dinner (although my hubby probably not as much lol) and went on with our lives. A few days later the owner personally called me to apologize and make it right. We super appreciated the customer service and we will be back for some more burgers soon! read more

The burger was juicy, the toppings plentiful to pick from. I did not try the fries since the burger was plenty by itself. Burgers come in different sizes which I really appreciate! It is more like a fast food place than I anticipated but better quality than an average McD. I just can't. It's been two trips now to FG, for lunchetime snacks. Both times it's just the same..... a mountain of fries (seriously!! one has to bust out a rake to find their burger under all them fries) tossed atop a burger that lives somewhere at the bottom of a bag. But you need to act quickly, because the bag and is pretty fast to take on the excessive amounts of grease that ooze from that tiny burger. The fries stay crisp for a short while... if they even make it to you in such a state to begin with. I dunno. I'm very much underwhelmed with the FG experiences I've had. I put their food quality right up there with in & out.... which is many many steps below the #8 at any carl's jr. across the land. But this is my opinion. I don't foresee myself eating here again. Ate here once and that was all it took, I now crave it! The bacon cheeseburger (fully customized with lots of options) is just AMAZING and huge. Worth the price. The large fries should be called 'sharing' size because the fill the little cup to the brim and then pour in another small size onto the top of it in the bag. I've been coming to this five guys for years, to the point where I know several of the employees recognize me and know my order. I came through a few weeks ago and I didn't catch the name of the man who was making the fries and handing out orders, but as he handed me my bag he warned me not to fold the top as it would cause the steam to build up and make my fries soggy. The staff was friendly but incompetent. I ordered a little cheeseburger and little fry and a regular drink. Simple enough you would think. I got a double hamburger... Little fry and a drink. All three items were on the burger...Mayo tomato and A1...should have been a single patty with cheese. Thought about taking it back... The manager Walt was super rude! I came into the establishment and stood there for at least 5 minutes without being acknowledged. I'm sure they're busy but there was more employees than customers at the time. When I asked if they had my order he gave me serious attitude and told me that it was around somewhere. This Five Guys used to be one of our favorite weekend stops for take out. The last three or four times we asked for well-done fries, like we've done for years. But when we got them they were limp and barely done. Today we asked for them to be remade, but were told they are under new management, and they can no longer make any modifications like well-done fries. Our complaint is not the rule (although that seems not very customer friendly), it's that for weeks they kept taking our order/money for well-done fries without ever telling us that they couldn't do it. I LOVE Five Guys. They're easily the best burger in town. The fries are amazing (avoid in you're allergic to peanuts!!!), with huge quantities, made from regionally sourced potatoes. The service is always fast and friendly, and I have never had a botched order. The only complaint I could make is poor access off of 7th Ave, which isn't entirely their fault.
