We placed an order to go. While we waited hubby enjoyed the peanuts. Burgers are made to order which was nice and fries are ridiculously plentiful. Not sure if this was more so because it was the end of night. My one complaint is I asked for lettuce on my burger and I happened to notice that they put the butt pieces of the lettuce on my burger and asked to get actual lettuce leaves. Not sure if they were trying to save the leaves for those (like my daughter) who opt for lettuce wraps instead of buns, but not acceptable...I know it wasn't an extra charge but maybe put the lettuce butts in the garbage please. Torn between 3 and 4 stars but went with the 4 because they still have the free peanuts and the overloaded bag of fries. It has been a few years since we last had five guys and it does seem as if the burger was smaller than I remembered. May be old age catching up though. The burger itself looked a little dry but taste was better than it looked. Nothing to complain about but also nothing to rave about so Yelp rating on this place seems about right. read more

I haven't had Five Guys in over a decade and was really craving them recently since I used to love them. I'm so glad that they still taste just as delicious! The workers here were also very friendly and even let me add in bacon to my shake just because I was curious about it. I ordered their cheeseburger (which I learned is actually 2 patties!), regular fries, and a milkshake with oreo creme and cookie bits. The only thing that wasn't so great was the price as it was a bit pricey but honestly, it was worth it. I learned that they really load up on fries and in my bag, there were more fries than what fit the cup it came with! What a pleasant surprise! I will say that all of it was quite filling and I would probably only go for their Little Cheeseburger next time. There's plenty of parking, short wait time and very clean. My only gripe is the price. This is fast food...just a bit expensive. I ordered 4 mini cheeseburgers, 4 of their smallest drinks and one large fries. At McDonald's or BK this is usually around 20-25 bucks. At 5 guys it cost me $51. Like I said...a bit pricey. I've been here a few times. The burgers are definitely above average. the service is fast it takes about 10 minutes for your orders. The burgers are made to order so that's on par with what I would I expect. I tried to use to app to mobile order but it didn't work for me. I'll try again in the future. The service here is decent nothing spectacular,but when I come here it's never crowded during lunch so I'm able to get parking and get our pretty quick. The dining area and cooking area are very clean along with the restroom. The burgers are good but you need a double to get filled, because they're thin. Also it makes sense to get a lot of topics since the price includes unlimited toppings. Definitely check it out if you want an above average burger without having to go into a restaurant. Man, I came here after having not eaten a meal in the three days I was taking care of my very sick cat in his last days. This morning, I went to put Oreo to rest at a vet in Westbury. As I drove away from veterinarian, I was just looking for the nearest place to get a bite to eat. I stopped at this place right between the Dollar tree and the T-Mobile. I ordered a cheesburger, fries and a soda. It was raining very hard and it seems I was the first customer today. The cashier saw that I was down about something and asked me if I'm okay. I told him about Oreo. He offered me a soda on the house. I thanked him but refused. As I was eating, Jim came to my table and asked me to tell him about Oreo. I told him that Oreo has been my friend for 19 years. Then two more guys came out to listen to me talk about Oreo. It was so nice to get a few things off my chest after losing a friend. The food, like at every other Five Guys I've gone to, is EXCELLENT. I'm a big fan of their cajun fries, and their burgers are top notch too. I only have one issue, and it doesn't have to do with the people who work there so much as the people who provide their delivery service. This is the SECOND time I placed an order on their website, and a half hour after the promised delivery time I called the store to find out the delivery person NEVER CAME. I asked if I could just come by and pick it up myself and they said yes but now I'm also out the extra delivery cost. The last time this happened, TWO HOURS AFTER I'd already eaten my lunch the delivery person dropped off my order... so I did get two orders for the price of one but this is just ridiculous. I wanted a burger on a Friday night. Five guys seemed like a good idea. Apple Maps listed the store as closing at 9:00 so I knew I was good. When I arrived the large decals on the door indicated the store closed at 10:00 seven days a week, so I was reassured. To my disappointment, I was told at 8:04 that they closed at 8:00. Where they lose points is the price. Small burger, no cheese, small fries & soda was $14.19. At 5 Guys. I can go to the Greene Turtle or Dallas BBQ or Neir's Tavern and get the same meal, with more fries too, for less money. And the food is just as good at those other places, if not even a bit better. And those other places are not considered "Fast Food" joints. And, of course, the same meal at All-American in Massapequa is HALF the price. Went to Five Guys last night for dinner. I have to say I read a lot of reviews saying how great they were, But i was a bit disappointed. The hamburger was good, But nothing super. The fries would have been really good if they did not put a ton of salt on them, I feel my blood pressure going up already. I think the best part of the meal was the Fanta birch beer they had. Visited Five Guys in Hicksville last night at about 7:30 pm. Erica at the front counter was fabulous! She greeted each customer with enthusiasm and accurately took orders. She repeated each order to the customer to make sure it was correct before finalizing. She even communicated with her colleagues so they know how many burgers to start cooking. Burgers are cooked to order (albeit always well done out of food safety concerns). My order was accurate and delicious. I came in to grab a bite to eat earlier this afternoon. As I'm waiting for my food, there is an old couple that was also there, one was on a walker to move around, the other had to use a cane to walk around. There was a misunderstanding about a large drink, and whatever it was, I witnessed very rude and nasty behavior by the assistant manager, his name is Mark, towards this older couple and I didn't appreciate it one bit. I went up to Mark and told him to his face it wasn't right the way he treated them, his answer was "everyone's the same, it doesn't matter!" I told him he's wrong and pointed out that one member in that couple is on a walker, the other has to use a cane and to just give them a break, they weren't trying to intentionally steal anything (I even saw the older gentlemen's cup and he had water with ice in it.).Mark proceeds to tell me it's "frankly racist" (implying the older couple is racist towards him) and mind everyone here, just for a point of reference, I'm a brown Indian man and he has the nerve to tell me that older disabled couple is racist, it was totally out of line and UNACCEPTABLE, considering they were also very nice to me and Mark's boss (the manager) is Caucasian. Restaurants are a service industry and this assistant manager and his boss really are just nasty individuals if this is how they treat people since we are "all equal". read more
