We got food here today while we were at the mall! I forgot to take a picture, but we ordered two drinks, four regular cheesesteak sandwiches, and a large fry with cheese and bacon, and it came out to $70!!!!! Besides being incredibly pricey, we couldn't even finish the sandwiches. The steak didn't have a good flavor at all and tasted almost burnt. On the way home, all of us felt extremely bloated. I had ZERO expectations. I usually ONLY get Cheesesteaks in Philly. Yes, I'm that snob. But I have been massively disappointed outside of Philly. I was hungry, at the mall and...I hadn't tried Charley's so I ordered the OLD SCHOOL cheesesteak. Extra meat, onions, and cheese wiz. The menu had all kind of other grilled pretenders on it...stuff that was NOT a cheesesteak...but places need to please the masses. And these sandwiches looked pretty good. But not for me. CHEESESTEAK. What I got was, in fact a pretty good old school these steak. It satisfied my craving nicely. Could it be improved? Yeah, more seasoning and onions and a better roll(but I only seem to get that perfect roll in Philly) but it was good and I devoured it. Win. They also serve WINGS. Luckily I could get a 4 piece order of boneless wings...and try out their new Nashville Hot Chicken wing flavor. First of all...boneless wings are NOT wings. My error, I could have gotten actual WINGS. The boneless things were all different sizes and shapes. Crazy. And the sauce...was definitely not Nashville hot and wasn't;t very hot. They tasted pretty good, but NOT what I was looking for. SO I'm not likely to go back for wings. But...here in Long Island...I'd definitely go get another Charley's Cheesesteak. Quintessential mall food. Adequately filling, a little pricier than it should be, but does the trick when you need fuel to keep shopping. Had the large chicken cheese steak combo with fries and a large soda. The meal came out to a little over $13. The sandwich is long but it's not very wide or thick so you get fooled by the "large" labeling. It was tasty enough but nothing amazing (or super filling). Again, it is what it is...mall food. Seating is available in the general are of the Food Court. Nothing at the shop itself. Staff are efficient, if not enthusiastic. Line was not terrible for a Saturday evening. When in the mall and you're craving something good to eat, Charley's Philly Steaks is one of my go-to spots. I always get the same thing: The Chicken California. It's very tasty and hits the spot. They're also always giving away samples of this and the sample is what got me hooked on it. They offer cheese fries as a side and those are super tasty as well; absolutely loaded with melted cheese. I really should try getting one of their cheesesteaks since they look really good. My husband swears they are some of the best cheesesteaks in the area. There is always a line here but it moves very quickly, so don't let that scare you away. It's the mall so there is going to be a line at most food court places. It seems this place is still busy as ever, but I'm beginning to notice the accuracy of orders decline. The staff is still professional, but it seems they are under pressure to push volume. My receipt was correct, but my sandwich had the wrong cheese and was missing the peppers (comes on the original philly). The food quality was still good so, I didnt complain. They also have it were you can get the cheese steak as a salad! As far as sides you can get French fries, cheese fries, and bacon cheese fries. As far as beverages they have the normal soft drinks. You place your order at the register and you can watch your meal be cooked in front of you! As you wait and watch they give you your drink. After that they call your number, and have you freshly prepared cheese steak awaiting your topping selections! The main toppings are mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. As a former resident of Philly, I consider myself a good judge when it comes to a good Cheesesteak lmao. No but really, Charley's is definitely doing something right. Always great service when I go and even though my sandwich isn't usually pretty to look at, it tastes so yummy. They're always giving out samples in the Dining District and once people taste how good it is they always end up joining the line. They have all different types of sandwiches and you can get it with either steak or chicken. They have different sizes but I can't go there and not get a large lol. Their fries are pretty good and I love their lemonades! My favorite cheesesteak is the one with the bbq sauce and the bacon with cheddar cheese. They have a little bar where you can tell them what you want on there to add--- whether its lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, onions, ranch sauce, pickles, etc the list goes on.. I live roughly five minutes from the mall and I will occasionally come by to get take-out because it's that good :) give it a try for sure. read more

As someone who was not too familiar with many Charley's locations (see: Green Acres Mall), I was excited to see a Philly Steak spot in the new Roosevelt Field Mall Food Court. Even with the long lines of anxious folk impatiently awaiting the opening, the service was fairly quick, the menu is simple enough to navigate, and, above all, the food is fresh and prepared right in front of you. After ordering your sandwich size and type, the cook prepares your meat, onions and cheese on the flat top grill. Your meal is then moved to a sandwich station with toppings and sauces to build your masterpiece. All in all, I'm pleased with this addition and will definitely be back. read more

As a fast food resteraunt you are supposed to pride yourself on customer service. I have been a customer at Charley's for several years and have never had an issue until now and unfortunately I will no longer be a customer at this establishment and I recommend that no one supports them further. Earlier this evening, my friend and her sister went to this location to grab a quick bite to eat before heading home in a thunderstorm. They each ordered a sandwich and fries and the manager refused to serve them. The person behind them ordered French fries and was given their order and so we're other individuals who ordered a meal. When she asked where her fries were she was told "we don't have any" which was definitely not the case as they continued to serve other customers French fries. After feeling mistreated she asked to speak with a manager and the server said "I am the manager" so she asked why she couldn't have fries and he laughed at her and mocked her. After asking for his name he gave it to her and just continued to laugh and say that there's no fries for her. Meanwhile, he continued serving every other person and giving them fries. This was the most disgusting nd embarassing encounter. This server was sexist and racist and also profiled her for not being dressed up. Under no circumstance should this business or any of their representatives refused to serve a customer. Used to be my favorite sandwich spot in the mall despite the stone-faced staff until I found dirt in my lettuce... THREE TIMES guys. THREE. Which makes me wonder if any of their produce is washed. Having a weak constitution (2x hospitalized for my intestines) I can't over-emphasize how unwashed veggies give rise to germs. The staff- too rude to care- smugly laughed after waving me away with my refund. A "very observant" cashier even claimed that it was the chicken (which honestly is a bit soggy) that made the lettuce crunchy... ha! So I spoke with the very nervous manager who apologized.
